The inside of the store is great, get all of my shopping done here. The outside however is full of bums and homeless people that beg you for money as you come and go from the store. They need to get security or police to chase these bums off the property and stop harassing the customers. It's every time I go, not just occasionally. read more

Their self checkouts are what nightmares are made of. Literally screaming at you if you don't put an item in the bagging area quickly enough. Also beware aisle 14 which has some leak and I know multiple people (myself included) that have slipped or fell in that aisle. read more

This store is the worst. I used to not mind coming here, but it's terrible now. The self check out is the absolute worst! This store just opened a month ago in the space previously occupied by Mars supermarket in Arbutus. Standard grocery store with double coupons up to 99 cents and the like. The major difference between Weis and Mars is that there prices are much more competitive with the other area supermarkets and they also have a loyalty rewards card for additional savings. Another thing l may add is that this location has kept the SECU ATM, which l am forever greatly for. read more

This would be a good store if not for the self-checkout lines. No organization, the line goes in all different directions. The machine is always squalking at you to place your item in the bagging area. While your are trying to open a bag, it tells you to remove the unchecked item. Hello, I am trying to open the bag so I can put the item in it. Then you have to wait for assistance to verify this. Huge waste of time. No other store has such insufficient self-checkout. read more

It's nearby the local university which makes it a Golden spot for college students living in the apartments nearby. Price-wise they are average and sometimes slightly pricier than other markets in my opinion. The service is always warm and friendly which is a reason for a star. However regarding the prepared food, it might be best to steer out of the way because they're not that good and go bad pretty quickly in a matter of days. read more

The store is pushing self checkout, which I hate! Only 3 lanes of full service, and when store is crowded, that means long lines. This takes much needed jobs away, and forces me to work at being a cashier! If that's what I wanted, I would've turned in my application! Yet, I don't get an employee discount! So, not happy about that. Plus, their selection of name brand items was always poor, but getting worse! I can't get some of the things I used to at this store, so I think my 2x/ wk trip to Weis is coming to an end. It's a shame. It's a nice neighborhood store, convenient, and most of the employees are friendly. But, if I can't get what I need, and have to either play cashier ( I have my own FT job.. don't feel like working here, too), or stand in very long lines... it's just not worth it. read more

Reason for the one-star review is based on my experience with buying items on sale. This week they had Coca-Cola 2 liter for $0.99 which is a great buy. After taking it to the register it rang up 1.99 I explained to the cashier that they were on sale for $0.99 she informs me you have to buy 6 two liter bottles to get the sale price. Which I thought was ridiculous that I had to buy 6 bottles to get the sale price. They have done the same thing with ice cream where you have to buy two to get the sale price. I only go here when I absolutely positively have to get something from there. read more

VERY DISSAPOINTED. Not stocked as well as the old Mars, which I loved. I do not receive a sale circular in the mail like the old Mars, thus I do not know the sale items. Sales circular on their website is hard to read. Prices are high unless you have a card. I have signed up for the Weis card twice, have not received any reply what so ever. ive been shopping here (Mars prior) for over 20 years. But Im pretty much done. Bathroom is disgusting.. Management should care about that. Although the cashiers are generally pleasant, I could do with out the curse words I hear almost every time I go. The fruits are sub par as compared with their local competition, giant, Safeway, etc. There are frequently no basics when you enter , same for hand sanitize.. The only excuse for this is they dont care enough to have them available. This all may be a bit harsh but I just dont see any concern for excellence at this store. read more

Visited Weis, Last Week, They Had Signs Comparing Their Prices To Mars, Except In The Deli Department, Where Corned Beef Brisket Was $12.99, Two Pack Beefsteak Tomatoes $3.34, Which Walmart Sells For $2.34. The Meat Slicers, Were Poorly Trained, As It Took Almost 15 Minutes , For Them To Slice, And Price 1 and 1/2 Pounds Of Meats. They Were In A Hurry To Open, And The Customers, Were Inconvenienced . Outstanding customer service with only a little wrinkle. I ordered 100 pieces chicken for a wedding. When i went to pick up the chicken for the wedding it was not ready. My ticket was on the board with all my information but no pickup date. Next time i will check on my order to make sure it happens. I went to see the manager who displayed superior customer service skills. The manager offered me a gift card. Well i figured i would order the chicken somewhere else since the wedding was not until the following day. When i went to pick up my gift card he said i can have your chicken done in an hour. I really like that this location offers pick up & delivery (for a small fee), however the app may need some work. Today the order had multiples of the same (exact) item & looking at the order summary after delivery the items were separate with quantity of 1 each entry, this caused items to be left out of the delivery, even though I paid for it. When I called I was made to feel like I was trying to get something for free, when all I wanted was to get the 2 items that I paid for but did not receive. This system needs checks & balances to make sure customers get what they paid for & those who are trying to get something for free are not able to. We all pay when others cheat & lie, this was not the case today and insinuating that I was trying to get one over on the store isn't sitting well. Have someone do a final check, be absolutely sure that every single item is checked off before the order goes out & do something about the separation of duplicates, I ordered quantity of 2 red potatoes & they show as separate items on the list, which is more than likely part of the issue. The whole point of paying a fee for delivery is not having to walk the aisles myself, which is difficult for me to do some days. read more
