    Expensive beverages

Jeremy and I had dinner plans In Baltimore East (I think that's the name... the area with all the higher-priced stores, with that weird gold flame fountain) but we were bored, so we decided to wander the Harbor beforehand. Jeremy is one of those people who can't go anywhere without a beverage, so we stopped at CVS to get a Monster... and an orange vanilla coke for me. Both of which were outrageously priced, but that's inflation, I suppose. Many shelves were absolutely bare. I suspect they're removing all the summer stuff and getting ready for Hallow-xmas. It's a basic CVS situation. I only go into those stores when I need a quick beverage. I DO use a CVS pharmacy, but even then we only use the drive-thru. Going inside always seems like such a hassle. We didn't interact with any employees. We used self check-out. It was a fairly painless experience. I appreciate the ramp and the automatic doors. I wish more stores had those.

She becomes confrontational because of a price misunderstanding

Yesterday I had the unfortunate experience of not only the rudest customer service I have ever had, but the manager not only continued to have a verbal exchange with my colleague; she also followed us out the store to continue to argue as I attempted to leave to diffuse the situation. As a Human Resources Manager, I know that safety is what comes first, so not only did she violate policy and procedure, she also created a hostile environment that could have put her and other employees in danger. I went to CVS after having dinner down the street. I went for the sole purpose of buying the travel size Vaseline. I looked at the price, which was $3.49. However I say another price in red that said something like $1.88. Since I am not from Maryland, I am accustomed to seeing two prices for an item, which would be the regular and sale price. So as I ring up the item at the register it comes up as $3.49 even after I put in my care card phone number. I then inform the security guard who is talking to my colleague that the price is wrong and he brings over another cashier who begins to head to the back to verify the price. I mention the red tag, and the manager, decides to reply to my comment saying that is the unit price, and there is a area marked you pay. I told her I'd did not see that, and that I'm used to the other price being the sake price. She then walks behind the register after repeating twice there is a sign that says you pay. I said okay and proceeded to purchase the item saying to Telvin the security guard, who is still standing there that I have no issue with purchasing the item, but the attitude is not necessary. The manager looks at me and states she does not have an attitude. I replied with I was not talking to you. She begins to reiterate how she doesn't have an attitude. My colleague who watches the entire exchange tells her that she did have an attitude was rude and gave me nothing but a nasty disposition. The manager says okay and what. At this point I set the Vaseline down and grab my colleagues by the arm to take her outside as her dnd the manager are now in a full argument exchange. As I do this the manager comes from behind the register and follows us outside. Once outside I asked her why did she follow us. She stated because she can and what are we going to do about it. It is at this time that I begin to record her on video and let her know that it was ignorant to have followed us when we had already left the store. Even after I started recording she still tried to take this stance as if she was right. Shawdae an associate stood in the doorway watching as I recorded and Telvin came outside. The manager finally went back inside, and I received apologies from Telvin and Shawdae who not only witnessed the outrageous behavior of the manager, but agreed she was out of line. There is nothing worse than trying to make a customer feel as if they were wrong for a misunderstanding and inciting a situation with a verbal exchange that could have lead to additional harm for those under her supervision. If you review the surveillance footage, the proof is there to verify everything I have written. I have friends who work in retail, and I have been the HR manager over my organization's retail division. I know that everything the manager did was in violation of policy. This is not a good representation of the CVS brand, and I expect to get a reasonable follow up regarding this matter. I will also be sending a letter to the store manager, general manager, and the COO along with the video.

This is my new CVS. since moving to Baltimore. They are very nice, and efficient. My wife has me on her insurance plan, but that does not start until October 1st. I had several Rxs that needed to be filled out of pocket, and that was my first time in this store. I love the fact it is right across from the harbor and lots of cool places to eat, shop, and generally explore.

The bad I had to buy to carry my purchases because this location was 100% out of plastic bags. Seriously????

Trash service, so rude. The pharmacy puts you on hold for 15-20 minutes. Won't fill out of state scripts and have Bs Rules.
