Literally the slowest pharmacy in the city. 7 people behind the counter and none of them will help with pickup when the only cashier is taking 30 minutes to find someone's prescription. On Saturday the line was over 10 people long. I came back after work and I've been standing here for over 15 minutes. And no one will acknowledge my presence. Awful customer service. read more

My friends and I joke around that the abysmal quality of this CVS is karma for it having replaced one of the last gay bars in Baltimore. Perhaps the frequently empty shelves are being haunted by past patrons of what used to be The Hippo. As others have mentioned on here, this CVS is awfully understocked. Many times I will come here in a bind looking for a simple household item like toilet bowl cleaner, paper towels, toilet paper, coffee creamer, etc. and leave empty handed. I've actually never seen such an understocked convenience store before or after coming to this CVS. Even if you ask the few staff members who are around, they will tell you they haven't seen those items stocked in months. Who is doing the inventory here and are they okay? If you need anything from a locked case, good luck. Even after ringing the bell or approaching the counter, service from the one or two staff members on duty is extremely slow. I've never used the pharmacy here but judging by how mismanaged everything else about this CVS is, I would much rather drive to a pharmacy minutes away than come here, a much more convenient location for me. I actually end up purchasing household items and cleaning supplies on Amazon at this point because I know this CVS won't be of much help. read more

I'm honestly amazed this place remains open and functioning. There are so many issues here I honestly don't know where to begin. 1) They are constantly understocked + inaccurate in what the CVS website says they offer in store vs what they actually offer in store 2) So much of their product is under lock and key with those buttons you have to press to summon an employee (and good luck getting one!) to retrieve. I get this is to try to prevent theft and honestly when I see one of these around, I just sigh and turn around and leave the store. It is so frustrating to encounter one of these and I think it deters actual buyers like myself more than preventing crime but what do I know? 3) The store itself has random messes throughout with items misplaced and shelves disheveled 4) The pharmacy. Ohmygod I am so sorry to everyone who comes here to pick up meds which looks like a TON of people!! I've come here for vaccinations (flu + covid booster) for 2 years now and firstly; their pre-check in never works. You always have to go up to them and inform them you are here. And then you can expect to wait anywhere between 15-30 minutes past your appointment time to encounter a pharmacist who can vaccinate you. 5) Lastly; the doors outside this place have had their glass broken + vandalized a dozen times over and seeing the wooden board blocking what used to be a glass door over always makes me squint as I wonder if this CVS has finally shut its doors and boarded up their walls the Baltimore way. read more

Their pharmacy is the absolute worst!!! I used them for 6 months and tried to put up with them because they are very convenient to where my job is located. 1) The staff is so rude! One day i asked for a plastic bag as I had several medications to pick up and they refused me one. They barely acknowledge you. 2) They usually only have one person working pick ups. So the line is typically 3 to 8 people. So expect a 20 to 30 minute wait to pick up. I literally tried every time period of the day and its the same thing each time 3) They lose medications frequently. They lost my meds 3 times after I got a text saying they were ready. I came in today to pick up my meds, they couldnt find them for 10 minutes. And the staff person was rude. So that was the last straw unfortunately for me. Will not go back. read more

I hate this is where I pick my meds up now. The automated refill line has ISSUES. One of my medication switched up & it's consistently not refilling my heart medicine within 30 days. (It tells me it will refill in 7 weeks.) Each month, I try to call and talk to a human; it's stressful not knowing why my heart med isn't being filled. I'm left on hold for over 10-15-20 minutes- I give up because I'm so frustrated. Nobody has ever answered. So far, miraculously, I've gotten a text saying it's ready within a day of the erroneous 7 week deadline... but I don't actually know. I'm two days late on a MED THAT KEEPS MY HEART SAC FROM SWELLING. In person isn't better! Last month, I asked the pharmacist when my next refill for a 3mo prescription (BCP's) was, she told me I was out of refills. I thought I was a month short, must have lost a pack & WORRIED. Less than a week later, I got a text that RX was complete. I'm out of refills NOW. IDK what's wrong with their system, but they've fully made me insane. Find somewhere else... I need to. (Rite Aid might've been a train wreck, but at least they answered the goddamn phone.) read more

I've never seen a store that has so many empty shelves. They never restock, it's ridiculous. The pharmacy phone lines don't work properly, the messages that state what selection buttons to push fade in and out, and no one answers the phone if you need to talk to someone. read more

Messs. I join the rest of the 1-star reviews. First of all, they have a rent-a-cop here with a gun to guard....what, makeup, expired food, and tampons? Ridiculous. It's soooo overpriced here. The employees are rude as all hell. I was picking something out at the other end of the curly hair aisle and a worker said "well excuuuuuse YOU" to my white partner when walking past her. Attitude uncalled for, just hatred oozing out of everywhere. My girl was literally just standing in the aisle. The racial hatred here is so thick you can cut it with a knife. The employees can BARELY be called that, because they don't work or do anything besides mean mug and make fun of the customers. Idk who runs this dump, but they need to be fired. read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever use. They do not answer the phone. I just hung up after being on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

If you need your medication do not bother calling them because they NEVER answer their phone. Horrible Pharmacy customer service.

Oof. Baltimore and Mount Vernon in particular deserve so much better for drugstores. Between this and the RiteAid on Chase St. (which is about the same) it's always a hassle to find what you need because both are perpetually so poorly stocked. Several times I've gone here only to leave empty-handed because they just don't have basic items and often don't have any suitable alternatives. I avoid going here whenever possible and try to get most items I'd buy at a drugstore at a regular grocery store instead. Similar to the RiteAid the only reason it's not 1-star is because a lot of this store's problems are due to the many unsavory people who loiter and panhandle around here so the extra unpleasantries like an armed guard and locked shelves are not necessarily the fault of the store or it's employees. As a white man I've never had issues with the staff (can't speak for anyone else) so would like to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they are doing their best in a difficult situation. read more

Great CVS pharmacy. They were able to fill my prescription same day and answered any questions I had on the phone and in person. I came on a Sunday at 5 and there was no wait. Zachary and the pharmacist both helped me and were very kind! I recommend using this CVS for pharmacy needs. It is not the closest one to me, but it will be the one I continue to use. read more

While its great that there is a safer alternative to crime ridden Rite Aid on Chase street, this CVS is always out of whatever you brought you there. I mean, its uncanny. They carry everything that a CVS would but they are always out of those things since they don't restock items unless there are complaints from customers to alert them is time to reorder. Also, they don't know how to get people through the cash register step. Its just plain confusion and staring at their screen. It takes forever. Once I see there is someone ahead of me, I pull out my copy of 'War and Peace' and read a chapter. read more
