In today's world with all the craziness going on in this world your bakery items should have a seal so customers know not to purchase if broken. My daughter bought cookies and one had a bite taken and it was put under the rest of the cookies so we didn't see until we got home. Disgusting but it's the world we live in today. You should put a sticker seal at all ends of the packaging like all the rest of the markets do. You do in some but not others, makes no sense! Your supermarkets are expensive enough. This is a clean supermarket that has good prices are excellent. I like their specials and their diet white birch soda is terrific.

The rude lady Named Betty from the beer department Gave the worst customer service possible to my brother and his Gf I don't even drink. I'm going to check out with my cart by myself and my brother was going to pay for the beer, Betty in a rude tone demanded that I show my ID to her no hello or hey how are you just straight up asked me for id as if I'm a robot . Betty kept harassing me by saying " NO! I need to show my id it's policy" If its policy than how come you didn't ask the lady for Id and for her kids as well? Betty was very unprofessional to me and my brothers and sister in law and let me explain why she screamed irrationally infront of other customers "that we are on camera! " acting as if we had done something wrong. When all my brother is trying to do is buy a 6 pack of beer to support this business it is obvious Betty doesn't have consideration for the business if she is treating outsiders like this that are visiting from NYC. Betty than had the audacity to Not even let my brother and gf comeback by themselves to buy beer this is the reason why she said they had cameras. She than made the situation worse after this altercation was done she wanted to instigate the situation in a rude manner by asking us if "you want me to get the manager"? I don't suggest that you come to this place on an empty stomach because they have everything & anything that you want to satisfy any craving that you might be having. Unfortunately for me, I came here not only on an empty stomach but with my monthly visitor as well. The freshly baked cookies were calling my name the minute I walked in so I couldn't help myself. I had to grab 2 boxes for only $5 each! Sugar Cookies that were heart shaped with pink sprinkles and sooo thin...they were soo good! We also got chocolate chip and cookies with sprinkles those were soft and good as well. We stocked up on chips & dips for the room @ Paradise Stream Resort and a 12 pack of Coors Light beers! I was amazed with the price of everything.... $28.00...things like this do not happen in NY. The supermarket is enormous to say the least and everything is fresh! The deli has pre sliced cold cuts and a lot that you can choose from to avoid waiting on a line I suppose.9 There was a salad bar and hot food that you can put in containers and take to go. Everything was dirt cheap here and I intend on coming back before I head back to NY to stock up on food!! read more

There was a lovely man playing music outside of this store yesterday, April 4th, and your employees treated him very poorly. He wasn't begging, or soliciting people, he was not bothering anyone and two employees came charging out of the store, embarrassing him in front of his young daughter and aggressively telling him he had to leave. Yet there is a (white) woman who stands at the entrance to the parking lot and asks for money and they have never told her she could not be there. If you think no one noticed think again. I will never frequent this store again. read more

I stopped by on my way home 11/16 after getting off from working 16 hours I asked a girl at the register something she looked at me poping gum saying what like I was bothering her I repeated myself turned and walked away she didn't ask me could she help or anything this was my first time at this store so I didn't know where anything was it took me longer than I wanted nobody ask could they help this was 7:15 in the morning it wasn't a lot of customers there so when I went to self checkout I had forgot something so went back walking up aisles and finally one person asked could he help I told what I was looking for the got paid and was getting ready to leave when I spotted this lady walked through with a walkie talkie walked passed me turned around and was standing looking I just left I didn't have time for that I was tired and sleepy had to be back to work at 3p. I wasn't going to write a review but the more I thought about it I got pissed I didn't do anything for them to be acting like that and I don't appreciate it but I will never go back to that store read more

There is always a lack of cashiers here. Currently they have 2 lane open with about 8 people waiting with carts full. They should really optimize the drawers based on occupancy and have a floater POS open. Or at least a Credit Card only lane if holding cash in the drawer is a safety issue. It's not feasible to go to self-checkouts with 30 items. 20 minute wait times are unacceptable!!! read more

Weis! Formerly, and will always be, Mr. Z's! Very well stocked, you can find just about anything you need. It's clean and easy to navigate, even for a newcomer. Can be a little on the pricey side but if that bothers you, you can go down the road to Walmart for great prices! PLUS! The fact that its across the street from a Beer Distributor is awesome AND its across the st from a bowling alley too!. read more

If I could give it 0 I would. I won't waste everyone's time for long. This is my first review of an establishment EVER. That's how pissed off I am. I'm literally created my yelp account to post this. Pointless? Probably. But so are the people's lives whom work at the bakery/deli/ seafood sections of this particular weis. So, I went into this weis to grab 2 items. This was supposed to be a quick thing but you just like me are about to be super disappointed. Shrimp for scampi and chocolate ice cream. I never buy frozen, so I waited 6-7 mins at least just at the counter hanging out hoping there was just somebody in the back. Two associates walked by me that clearly saw me waiting. Neither said anything. I then asked a woman looking into the seafood freezers who was wearing a red weis shirt "can I get anyone to give me a half a pound of EZ peel raw shrimp real quick, Im sorry I can't find anyone." She tells me she will call somebody. She walks away a few mins go by nobody's here. I said okay let me go get my ice cream and I'll circle back. I waltz right past the same woman in the frozen isle and she looks at me and says nothing.... Ten mins. Nothing. No over head page. Nadaaaa. It's 6:20 and the stores not crazy busy and the counters are open. You'd think somebody, ANYBODY would be able to help me. Right? Nope. I walk over to the bakery to a brunette in a hair net and a Black apron and I said ""excuse me" she says "yeah?" I said "is there anyone I can get to call for seafood I just came here for one thing." There's a fucking PHONE BEHIND THIS LADY and she tells me she can't help me but to try "over there" and nods with her head to the meat deli. I said "great thanks" and I walked away. So, I walk over to the THIRD location to try and get help to purchase ONE ITEM. I'm at the deli counter and ask a short Asian woman in a black hat with a pony tail "hey, would anyone be able to phone for seafood for me? I have been asking and still nobody is around. I just need one thing." This lady literally SIGHS at me and slams down this meat she had and said "I don't have a phone RIGHT HERE." ....okay.... she says "aren't you the lady who was just here." I said "actually; no I'm not." She sighs and walks away to go to this dude in the back who's hearing our exchange to tell him to call seafood. Are you kidding me? Jesus Christ. It was like getting any of the at least 4 people I interacted with to do anything at their JOB was pulling fucking teeth. Everyone I spoke to made it somebody else's problem and didn't help at all. The absolute bare minimum attempt at customer service. These are the same people who want $15 an hour. Who literally huff and puff at you when THEY ARENT DOING WHAT THEY SHOULD BE DOING. Worst part? I wasn't even being this much of an asshole in the store. All I wanted was half a pound of EZ peel large shrimp, dude. And some chocolate chip ice cream to dip pretzels in after my scampi. TWO ITEMS!!! After receiving no help and standing/wandering around looking/waiting for help that never came, I spent 30 mins inside weis and ended up putting my ice cream and my pasta on the deli counter and leaving. That's awful. I know nothing will change and nothing will be done but I felt the need to let somebody (whoever reads this junk) know that you're hiring actual trash to do very, very simple things. This location has a real issue with removing food that is no longer fresh - this cheese had so much blue mold on it that at first I thought it was supposed to be blue cheese... It was front and center in the display at the very front of the store - obviously neither the department or store manager has walked around really looking at the food in this area for days because this kind of mold growth takes some time... Not the first time I've had mold issues here - twice with 'fresh baked breads' and once with packaged foods well past the expiration date. I really never shopped there but was completely amazed at the smiling and welcoming faces that introduces you when you walk in and guide you through your extremely pleasant and clean shopping experience. And with their selection and service, you could really be let to believe that Wegmans had finally found its way to east stroudsburg. great job Weis read more
