I use their mail order service. Everything arrived in good shape. One cd was cracked so they sent me a new one. Great customer service!

When one shops at them for home decor items, you are truly choosing a special way of creating a home that is all your own. Housed in a restored historic building prior to its present use, the Olde Engine Works began operating as a machine shop that built huge, steam-powered hoists (winches) used mainly for lumbering and quarrying in 1903, located on 3rd Street in Stroudsburg. Since 1993, it's been an indoor antique establishment of nearly 22,000 sq ft with 100 vendors offering the finest selection of collectibles, furniture, and treasures in all of the Poconos, where my partner, his sister, and I came today. Upon entering this spacious, well-maintained, and carefully organized interior as first-timers, it was like stepping into a time machine powered by vintage lamps, antique knick-knacks, and furniture. Some booths were a little tight to walk through, but not bad. There is so much stuff to see one could literally spend several hours in there. We left satisfied with a china cabinet and solid round table. Prices were very reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We can recommend this place.

Well like all Americans... if you need to try to get it in one stop... you kind of have to shop…read morethere. No one really enjoys shopping or working there... talked to dozens of employees. Its basically a pig trough... a place they throw stuff out as fast as possible and people throw things into their carts and pray they can get out of the checkout lines in under a half hour. I noticed there are no recent reviews on here for Walmart. That sends some red flags up. Why is that? Thousands of people in the area every year shop there... and no reviews? Very strange. This recent shopping trip... I bought a London Broil steak... under two pounds, about 16 dollars. When I took it out of the fridge to grill it, I found it was the texture and substance of Play-Dough or putty. You could literally push the steak around with your fingers like a kind of pastry dough. I asked one of the employees pushing around a cart that picked up foods for the park and go type shoppers if she noticed a difference in beef from Walmart vs every other market on the planet. She said yes. I said... I think they FREEZE everything probably at the main trunk locations for distribution, and then put it in the fridge displays at the stores... but its too late... the flavor is GONE. Walmart beef is bland. Tasteless. Oh God, I could go on forever. Every department has problems kind of parallel to this. Like I said... the store is a high volume pig trough. Goods are understocked ... the ones that are a decent deal in price. Every time I go there... they have black holes where my preferred goods are. Employees run away from you if you look like you want to ask them a question. Many many times, I get the feeling employees wish no customers would ever enter the store... so that they could do their stocking and running around. Cant tell you how many times stock type people would politely tell me to move or get out of the way, when I was looking for items and they were stocking shelves or shopping for others. You know... the Mexican standoff... you have your cart parked at a section looking for a particular item... and they push their sled full of product two feet away from you and give you the... glare. The eye thing that says move... or I will move you. Unfriendly. Often the checkout people do not speak English. One time a Russian male checker found people behind me who spoke Russian, and they were off and running. My stuff was being checked out but he paid no attention to me at all. I asked him if he spoke English. He said no... no English. I wanted money back for change for a local bus. I pushed the 20 dollar cash back. He pulled a 20 from the drawer and smiled at me. I said... not a 20, I need change. I need singles... for the bus. He smiled and another associate wandered over. I explained I wanted cash back, but I can't give a bus driver a 20 dollar bill. I needed singles. He put the 20 back in the drawer and pulled out a ten and two fives. Eventually I got change. These are tiny incidents that I could write a book about... the list would go on and on. Our area has few high quality supermarkets. Mostly the selection is narrow and the prices are high. Its very discouraging. So you are stuck with what we have. The Aldis would be fine, but its a small store and its just food. The Shop Rite is overpriced but the beef is good... at the mall. Anyway... in a room full of ugly girls at the dance... if you want to dance you have to compromise. You make do or go without. It's kind of that situation. The store used to be filthy... dirty and cluttered, unsorted shelves, lacking pricing and employees who could not care less about your concerns of questions. Usually checkouts are understaffed. The new remodel kind of makes this Walmart in East Stroudsburg look like my basement. My basement is unfinished. Bare concrete floors, noisy interior with no sound absorption, glaring fluorescent lights like the five and tens of the twentieth century. Horrible design. You would imagine so much more from the world's largest retailer. The Walton's must all be asleep on their yachts. Obviously, no one at the store cares. Sam Walton did. I met Sam Walton at a store in Florida about thirty years ago. Sam would not approve of the current situation. I could go on... especially about how it was run 35 years ago and how it is run now. I can't help but believe this chain will not exist in ten years. Amazon buyouts, some stores sold for the real estate... a market just waiting for the next big thing. A giant hole in the retail market, just waiting for a good solid store that is an efficient and pleasant shopping experience. Carpets on floors, lighting in the warm range, decent prices and moderate selection. You know, where employees are friendly and courteous, and still believe the customer is always right. Target tried to be like that... but their buyers and execs ran off the tracks with non competitive pricing and poor product selection. Shelves full of things that people
