Swimming with the ladies at gym and one of them goes on about Green Hills grocery store and how there's a line out the door, on saturday morning. Now you got me as I lean closer towards her. She continues, excitedly and exclaims how wonderful their deli section is. Of course, the Yelper that I am, has to go and check out this grocery store. Though it's set-up is similar to Aldi, it also reminds me of Marshalls. There is a deli and their prices for meat and cheese are at least $4 off per pound, from the other nearby grocery stores. Yes; it's true and the selection looks good. Their grab and go section, has huge hoagie sandwiches, priced at $5.99 and enough to feed two people, piled high slices of swiss and salads. Green Hills has lots of snacks, granola bars, hot sauces, a little of this and that, no beef/chicken/poultry, sparse veg and fruit, limited household and hygiene products. There is a small selection of frozen foods, where I happened to spot Little Debbie ice-cream! Be sure to check the expiration dates on products, some items I've seen had expired. There are lots of good and unexpected buys for the savvy shopper.

My reasons are the following: Prices are too high You need a bonus card to get the sale items Bakery has been awful trying to get a cake with the correct writing on it. Rude self checkout employees with no sense of customer service. Self checkout could use a system overhaul. Should be more like the ones at CVS and Aldi if you insist on having customers use them. My suggestion If you want to save money in this Biden economics era, go to Aldi for your main groceries, a discount store like sharp shopper for lunch meats, snacks, etc and BJs, Costco for toiletries, in bulk items.
