Has many stairs that you have to carefully use to get to the beach. It often is very slippery. The waves make things wet. It isn't much of a beach. This is pretty rocky. Swimming is allowed. The water is very dangerous looking. It's not a place for amateurs. This also isn't just a dog park. It's okay for people to hang out at. They have a few tables at the entrance before stairs. It can be hard to get here. Parking lot is across the street. The park is like someone's back yard and there's many locals who seem to like to be here whenever.

We gave it another chance, but the second visit was worse. In front of a crowd we were told we "look like 10 year olds," then met with glares and a cold demand for IDs. Even after showing them, we felt stared at until we decided to leave. I respect the need to verify age, but this could have been handled professionally with a simple ID check at the door. The concept of this facility is great, but the approach left us feeling unwelcome.

Although I only observed the dog park section (my dogs don't like water); everyone there was having a blast! A Monarch caterpillar was on a milkweed plant, and the milkweeds are everywhere. Love trees? Lots of oak trees and others line the paths. Redwing blackbirds were chirping. In the mornings and evenings I've was told you can see a lot of deer. A shelter is available for group events. There are a few picnic tables under the trees. More tables are needed. At one point there was literally a giant mallard just standing in the middle of the woods like he owned the place. And then there were stairs that climb straight up the side of the mountain -- okay, hill -- but it felt like a mountain in the best way. The whole walk made me feel free.
