I also can get same-day appointments if something comes up (ie, cold, infection, flu... the usual stuff). All offices should be run like Oconee Primary Care.

I showed up 30 minutes early for my appointment, got a text to check in, so I went inside. Big mistake. The people next to me said they'd already been waiting an hour. When I asked the front desk why they would text me to come in if they're that far behind, I was told there's still at least an hour wait. So let me get this straight: I'm sick, you tell me to check in, then refuse to let me wait in my car because "patients need to wait inside"? Why? So we can all sit shoulder-to-shoulder, coughing on each other, while you run an hour behind schedule? If every patient is on time and you're just piling us up in a waiting room, you're not running a clinic--you're running a hostage situation. If you're this behind, don't text patients to come in and then not allow us to leave if we want to hold our appointment time??

The visit lasted a total of 30 minutes with less than 10 minutes of time spent with the actual provider. They prescribed me some cream and steroid pills. A couple weeks later I received my bill which was over $400! This was with the practice being covered by insurance and my insurance company covering a portion of the charge. Not only that, but the provider listed was an MD who practices in Atlanta. The codes they used for the visit were also not appropriate for the visit duration and type. I tried to contact them and get the codes changed for the visit, but they kept making excuses for how they could use the codes that they did. I decided it ultimately wasn't worth the hassle, but I will certainly NOT be back!

I read the review that complained it took too long to get an appt. The practice is popular and it does take a while to get in as a new patient. My first appt was 53 weeks in advance. Yes - a year and a week. Go ahead and accept it then ask to get on a cancellation list. They called me in after 5 months and I've been here since. Dr Anthony has a stellar rep and I really wanted to get in his practice. With their guidance and medications I took my A1c from 8-9 to 5.6 my last test a couple weeks ago. I've lost about 30lbs and feel better than I have in a long time. They offered me an appt for dietary guidance and it was very helpful. I had been diagnosed 18 years by then but I learned some good info in that class. I've never had any difficulty with any staff; they've all been as sweet as pie. Once I didn't have the right amount to pay my bill (self pay) and they let me run down to the kwickie mart and buy a snack to get change. I told them I liked it there and sure wasn't going to run off and lose my place in the practice for $90. No way!! If you are looking for an endocrinologist don't hesitate to visit Endocrinology of Athens. I'm very satisfied with the care I get.

This lady is very old school, rude, and obviously believes she can treat people bad, and go on about her day. From the moment that she answered to the moment I explained to her I would be reporting her behavior, she had a carefree attitude. She said they do not have appointments available for 7 months, and said I needed to call my doctor. I did call my GP, and matter of fact I asked them to please never refer any of their patients to them. I now have an appt in April with another doctor, and Patrick that doctors office manager was A++. This doctor needs to immediately take control of his office, or his reputation will go down fast no matter his skill set. This practice is 3/4 of a mile from me, but I'll gladly drive to Prince Avenue in Athens now. Our family backs St. Mary's group 100%, but they have to step it up.

I have been comming to Fr Anderson for years now and take all my family there. The staff is really…read morenice and took care of me and my kids. Everytime we go my kids get a little treat (a lollipop or something of the sort) and they feel comfortable there. They actually got to know the staff and consider them friends. The place could use a bit of a remodel but it is clean. For christmas they brought a santa clause to sit at the waitin area to take free pics with the kids and patients waiting. I believe tjey do it every year and the santa is a "real" santa if you get my drift. My kids enjoyed every second of it and made the waiting time seem way shorter and fun. I will keep coming here and bringing my kids, and I encourage others to do the same.

This was by far the worst medical experience of my lifetime. I was attempting to change doctors…read moredue to an insurance change and Dr. Anderson had a five star rating with the insurance carrier. First, I took the time to have my prior doctor send all my records as I was hospitalize for a serious medical condition 6-mths prior. When I got there the place was a complete dump. All the chairs had duct tape their was trash on the floor in the lobby, the office all around was like a horders house. The scale that had was something you find at Walmart for $4.99. If that wasn't bad enough, I get in the room and asked if they had my records (knowing I had confirmed they were sent) and the nurses response was, "I have no idea". So she leaves without taking any vitals asking any questions and just said the doctor will be in in a bit. I hear them talking and one of the other workers said, "check the stack of papers in the back". After 30 mins I listen to them call my prior doctor trying to get their hands on the records. The doctor then comes in with a stack of paper in his hands. As I begin taking to him, I realize he didn't bother to even look at them. Continuing to be patient and discussing my medical history, since he couldnt be bothered to read them, he then slumps down on the chair, put his hand on his forehead and starts moving his hand signaling me to lower my voice and "clam down a bit". Like someone with a major hangover. After not bother to to check any vitals again, he write me the prescription I needed for blood pressure and tells me to come back in 6 mths. I probably could have told him to write me a prescription for any kinds of medicine and he would have done it. Never once did he look at the fax copy of my records. Oh...and of course the dosage was incorrect and the pharmacy had to get it corrected .I had a bad feeling when I walked in. If someone doesn't care about the environment they work in, they surely aren't going to care about anything else.i wish their was a negative rating. This place need to be completely shut down. Must be a health code violation.
