I literally downloaded Yelp just to leave this place one star. This "walk-in clinic" has zero regard for appointment times. I showed up 30 minutes early for my appointment, got a text to check in, so I went inside. Big mistake. The people next to me said they'd already been waiting an hour. When I asked the front desk why they would text me to come in if they're that far behind, I was told there's still at least an hour wait. So let me get this straight: I'm sick, you tell me to check in, then refuse to let me wait in my car because "patients need to wait inside"? Why? So we can all sit shoulder-to-shoulder, coughing on each other, while you run an hour behind schedule? If every patient is on time and you're just piling us up in a waiting room, you're not running a clinic--you're running a hostage situation. If you're this behind, don't text patients to come in and then not allow us to leave if we want to hold our appointment time?? read more

Beware of price gouging and sketchy business practices! I came in for an insect bite, and I saw one of the NPs and his student. The visit lasted a total of 30 minutes with less than 10 minutes of time spent with the actual provider. They prescribed me some cream and steroid pills. A couple weeks later I received my bill which was over $400! This was with the practice being covered by insurance and my insurance company covering a portion of the charge. Not only that, but the provider listed was an MD who practices in Atlanta. The codes they used for the visit were also not appropriate for the visit duration and type. I tried to contact them and get the codes changed for the visit, but they kept making excuses for how they could use the codes that they did. I decided it ultimately wasn't worth the hassle, but I will certainly NOT be back! read more

This place deserves negative stars. Shameful and despicable. They attempted to "treat" her without a parent's consent. Then they ran cultures for strep and mono and never gave her an option. She was complaining about severe ear pain and dizziness, fever and exhaustion for over 2 weeks and nobody even looked at her ears. Because she's a type-1 diabetic the nasty PA told her that all her issues were because her blood sugar was high. They were trying to force an EKG on her so they could milk more money out of her because there was NO other justification for why a healthy 17 year old would require any sort of heart monitoring. While she sat in a room and heard the PA and rude receptionist, Nicole, talking about her and being totally unprofessional, she asked to leave. They refused to let her. They provided her with the wrong AMA form and only then recognized she was a minor. They then forced her to sign this form in order to leave. This place is despicable, unethical and should be closed. Shame on them for forcing a minor to put a card on file and sign documents that she's not legally allowed to sign. The attempts to pad their bills and charge for unnecessary and additional services and treat her like an idiot are beyond comprehension. Do NOT go to this place if you care to be treated as a human, want actual medical advice from a real medical professional or only want to pay for tests that you need to determine what the cause of your symptoms is. I am utterly disgusted by this place and the way they failed my child. I wish she would have read the reviews before walking in the door. We will seek real medical care from ethical professionals who understand how to care for a minor, receive appropriate consent and will only run necessary tests. I can't believe this place is still in business. I hope for the community's sake that these doors close sooner than later. read more

"Adorable self pay" - Ha! We were charged $250 before even seeing a doctor or having any tests done. The tests came back negative, so we left being told my husband had a "bad cold" and to take over the counter meds. Also, there were dead bugs on the floor. read more

Terrible service!! Please do not go here. I paid two medical and X-ray bills from two different facilities because this place failed to tell me they could not administer treatment for a dislocated finger. We all knew my son's finger was dislocated. It was clear! The facility provided NO value at all. They simply charged us at the door, took an X-Ray, told us what we already knew, then sent us to Orthopedic Urgent Care. My son was in extreme pain and this was a completely unnecessary visit. Modern and clean. Your luck depends on the doctor. I've come twice. First was a terrible experience and I ended up in the ER. Second was great and left with everything I needed. This urgent care carries steroid and antibiotic shots- something not as popular these days but very effective when you need it. Average wait time. I think it's a place where doctors and nurses are picking up extra shifts. You're just going to have luck of the draw on quality of care. read more

I have never had more careless, unprofessional, or mindless care from a clinic. I felt mocked by the nurse for coming in for "just fatigue and a sore throat" The Dr. was very rude and pushy when asking my symptoms, and I believe he was not fully listening. He then ordered a rapid mono test (which often produces false negatives and is commonly known in the medical field as unreliable) and a strep test. Both were negative. He did not return, and instead sent a nurse who could barely speak English to inform me to "drink more water" and "get rest". They brushed off my concerns about the severity of my conditions and sent me on my way. My symptoms never improved and I have come to find that I have a severe liver problem, thanks to a credible clinic with a good team. I have been to this location several times, and I have been very disappointed every time. There is one nurse in particular who is extremely rude and shows absolutely no compassion for her patients (or me, at least). I've seen a couple of different doctors and nurse practitioners and they all seem knowledgeable but they are just churning out patients and will give you zero explanation for their treatment unless you pointedly ask questions. I would assume this is just the nature of urgent care facilities in general, but I've been to others in the area that were much better. I would recommend the Piedmont Urgent Care on Hwy 29 or in Watkinsville. The extra attention and care you receive is well worth the drive. I will say the front desk staff here has always been courteous and professional. read more

SmartCare (urgent care )is probably one of the worst urgent cares some one could visit. I went for problems that'd been ongoing with my health for a solution that would make me healthy again. It took an hour and a half to be called back and when I did go back it took another half hour for someone to see me, and when I did see someone it was not a doctor but a nurse practitioner who did not try to find a good solution but only told me to keep doing what I am doing and it should pass. I was in this establishment around 2 hours. The entire place was unprofessional, and not an environment to help those who are sick and looking for quick, easy, and affordable solutions.
