I also had symptoms of glaucoma for which he prescribed other drops and some pillls. Many months later, the blurriness was getting worse and worse, and he just said to increase the drops. I have finally gotten a second opinion and a thorough diagnostic procedure. It seems I have severe glaucoma and a block in the retinal vein. I have now asked a total of seven times, and they sent yet another postcard, received today. My last call, I got some tool at the front desk, who had an attitude and no intention to help and who hung up on me at the end of the call.... I definitely was assertive (bc they seem to refuse to leave us alone), but definitely was not rude nor did I use any sort of bad language. My take on this is..... They know are a horrible company and yet they keep doing all the stuff that makes people angry at them. Do yourself a favor and never set a foot in their door.... if you do, you will regret it for a long, long time. Ultimately, I had LensCrafters fill my prescription because I wanted a different frame than what was available at the office. Since I was unhappy with the prescription, not the glasses themselves, I decided to return to Dr. Hulme, who performed my initial examination for his thoughts. Nikki, gave me every reason not to return. Her absolutely poor attitude toward me as a customer was completely uncalled for. She argued with me as to why I can't focus or read with my current prescription lenses and told me to go back to LensCrafters if I wasn't happy. After much back and forth, she ended the call by hanging up on me. I will not be returning to Dr. Hulme's practice and will tell anyone I can to do the same. I hope this helps with your decision-making in choosing an eye doctor. I was and am completely disappointed with this practice. I will continue to use another optometrist from now on. For the last 6 months or so, I have been having trouble with my right eye. It just ACHES on…read moreoccasion. I went to a Doctor of Optometry in Ft. Collins, who referred me to a clinic in The Republic of Bouldah. Well, I made that drive (Twice!) in the course of 10 days, because the OD in FC *thought* she saw a problem with my retina. To make a long story short (yeah, I know . . . too late!), there was NO problem. After cold calling Dr. Matthew Skrdla, mainly because of 350 5-star reviews on Google, I was able to get in today, Monday the 20th. Dr. Skrdla is an OD as well, in an office in The Landings. His office has been there for around five years, if I remember my conversation with "Zoey" correctly. He took all the time he needed to look at my eyes, moving me from specialty machine to specialty machine, designed to look into the depths of my eyes, if not my soul. In the end, he came up with several versions of exactly WHY my eye might be aching. I asked him to tell me in layman terms what they were, but even his "dumbed down" version was more than I can follow. Not really, but it is certainly more than I can repeat. After the exam, Zoey took over the process, showing me different frames for lenses. As a first-time customer, as she said, they offered me a 40% DISCOUNT on my first pair of glasses. The same discount will apply to the second pair as well, when *if* the first pair works out. She gave me a time frame to buy the second pair with the same discount, which, as I recall, was 90 days. I certainly felt as if it was plenty of time to evaluate the first pair. It will take a few weeks to get my new glasses in. In the meanwhile, I will make do with my 1.75 diopter "readers", which have gotten me this far. As it turns out, my right eye has an astigmatism, and BOTH eyes need 2.25 diopter correction lenses! Zoey will be in touch when it's time to move forward with my new eyes. I can hardly wait!

Before I can even say I word I heard Dr Baca SCREAMING to the assistant "DONT TOUCH HER SHE DOESNT HAVE INSURANCE" "DONT DO ANYTHING TO HER" she proceeded to come into the room where I was in with the assistant and she asks me "Do you have $300 for the consultation?!" I told her "yes?" After the assistant was done she comes in the room and I tell her what was happening and really snotty and with attitude she dismisses everything I'm telling her that the light bothers me after a surgery I had and she tells me "well i don't know why the light bothers" the previous eye doctor who did my surgery told me I should go there because my eye had regrown the pterygium in my eye. She proceeds to tell me that's not true. When my previous eye doctor told me himself it grew back. She begins to do an exam and touch my eye and my face WITHOUT washing her hands. She digs her nails into my face to take pictures to send to another doctor. the pictures she took where taken off her DIRTY phone. Not a sterile Camera. mind you she didn't wash her hands before touching my face but she felt the need to wash her hands after touching me. Professional manner are currently lacking in "Dr" Baca. But then she proceeded to say that the surgeon wouldn't want to touch me because another doctor had already done a surgery on me. I left and I paid the $300 since she needed it so badly. I would highly not recommend. Not professional in any aspect. Don't know why she calls herself a dr when she clearly doesn't know anything.
