I ordered a $90 bouquet for my uncle's funeral and of course I ordered from Chase's because I wanted the job done well. I got to the funeral home and I was so embarrassed. The bouquet I had ordered was so small. I couldn't even think about the service because I was thinking about how embarrassing this was. Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful, but it was not even close to being a $90 bouquet (the base price without taxes and delivery). What they sent I could have gotten at Wegmans for $30 or less than that at Costco. I called immediately after the service. They were nice, but said that was the correct price and bouquet. They said the vase I chose couldn't hold anymore flowers than what it had in it or it would look silly. There were 3 size options for the arrangement I chose. I ordered the largest one. If a vase is not big enough, why would you even have that vase and arrangement available together? They gave me a 20% discount when I called. Still not worth $72!!!!! Lesson learned-no more Chase's and call the florist next time to make sure my arrangement will be sufficient.

We've been trying for two years to get them to take responsibility and honor their written guarantee but to no avail. The attached photos were taken on May 7, 2025. They show the ridiculous way they chopped the root ball and then planted it bare root. This Sunburst Locust tree never had a chance of successfully transplanting. What replays with us are Bevin's initial words when we originally reached out with concerns about the health of the tree. She said, "Don't worry, I've never replaced a Locust tree." Well that's still true! Even when the tree dies and we are out significant money and need to start over with a reputable nursery, she NEVER REPLACED A LOCUST TREE!! AVOID BOTH PITTSFORD TREE & LANDSCAPE AND VILLAGE GARDEN STORE!!! Dishonest and a disgrace to small businesses. Original post: They won't honor their written 2 year guarantee on 2 large trees we purchased and they planted in October 2022. We have been trying to address issues with these trees since spring 2023 and still don't have a resolution 18 months later! Bevin never returns our calls or emails so we have driven to the nursery several times. Each time she lies to us and promises to come to inspect and trim the trees but does not follow through. She offered to extend the warranty to 3 years but refused to put it in writing. My last communication was requesting resolution sent a month ago via USPS Certified Mail...no response! They were both great plants, and the Brazilian Jewel is even starting to grow a flower spike. I have no words to express how much I love Marlow's orchids. They have top quality plants, a lot of them hard to find, and their customer service is fantastic. They are so friendly and polite, and they'll do anything they can for you. They'll even help you find a plant you want if they don't have it and you can't find it anywhere else. Thank you Marlow, you really are the best of the best. For anybody who has anything critical to say about Marlow's orchids... were you polite? Did you treat them with respect, rather than outrage? Did you politely suggest to them what you thought they should do to make things right, or did you respond with indignation, or did you just hope that they would offer some solution? People don't know what you want or what you expect until you tell them, and treating somebody like an old friend will go a long way in getting you the resolution you hope for.
