I scheduled a one time home cleaning in December 2021. They sent 3 people to do the cleaning and it took them about 3hrs to complete the cleaning. They did a amazing job and I was very pleased I decided to sign up for a monthly cleaning. "For a Monthly Cleaning, your cost will be $177.53 which includes sales taxes and we are insured and bonded. There is also a $48.71 first time clean fee which will cover the extra time that we will spend on the first visit." So for my first monthly cleaning June 29th they sent 2 people and they were finished cleaning in 45min. Everything was still dirty! Bathrooms, kitchen, floor's. Everything they wiped had streaks and I had to reclean my counter tops. I took pictures and they agreed to send them back to reclean the area's they missed (the whole house) on July 11th. I requested different people for the reclean but management sent the same people. After that I decided to cancel my monthly service going forward and notified them on the 21st of July. I received a email saying that I will be charged $75 cancellation because they already put me on their schedule for my next cleaning even though I haven't received any notice for my next cleaning. I wrote a check for nearly $375 to Welcome Home Cleaning Services to perform a through cleaning service. That was the price for a team of two to come in and clean my two-story home, top to bottom. I was very specific on what I needed cleaned as well as the level of filth to expect. Extremely dusty is how I described my home in their online survey for the initial estimate, and I also chose the option in this same survey that I would be inspecting with a white glove once the job was complete. After their 2-person crew spent several hours in my home, they left having performed an outright abysmal job throughout the house, and I expected way better for the price I paid. I didn't need a white glove - it was obviously left dirty nearly everywhere. I took a few pictures and sent them along with an email to let WHCS that I was not happy with the quality of service my home received. So now I'm sure you're wondering why I'd give a 5-star rating to a company who cleaned my home so poorly... It's due to their response to my email, which was "I apologize that the cleaning was not satisfactory. We will not be cashing your check." I have been using this service for about a year. I came home the other day and when my wife went to use her makeup some of it was missing and also night clothes which all items were in a cabinet. I talked with the management at the company and told them what happened they talked to the people and they said they did not take these items. The reason they gave that this was not them is that they pay there people really good. I told them no one else lives in my home. They said there insurance company told them not to claim responsibility. They said they would offer me a discount on my next service. I asked why would I use a service that took items from my house. 70% price hike since April for the same service? No thank you. It really pains me to write this review. I've been a customer of Welcome Home Cleaning since 2004. During that time, there have been some ups and downs as there would be with any service provider over nearly two decades (decidedly more so in recent years) but their customer service has always saved the day by doing whatever was necessary to address the issue and reassure me that it was important to them to keep me as a customer. Until the last two days, that is. Welcome Home last cleaned my two-bedroom duplex in April of this year. My cost was $121.24 (including tax). I attempted to schedule my next cleaning in June, but the person who took the call told me she needed to check their calendar and would call me back, which she never did. Okay. There have been issues before, as I said, so I decided to try again two days ago, and what a surprise I had coming. After the initial phone conversation, I received an email with the price for my scheduled cleaning: $189.44 + tax (8.25%) which I calculated to be a total charge of $205.07, an increase of $83.83 or almost 70% MORE for the exact same service I for which I paid $121.24 (including tax) four months ago. Needless to say, I sent an email rejecting this outrageous price hike and canceling my cleaning appt and also reminding them that I'd been a customer for almost two decades. The response, which came nearly 24 hrs later, was equally shocking: "Thank you for your feedback. I am confirming that you are not on schedule for August 19th. We can offer you a very good deal for recurring services if you are interested." Unbelievable. No attempt at an explanation for the massive price hike. No attempt to make ANY effort or offer to save a customer of 18 years. Infuriating. I immediately replied to share my dissatisfaction in plain but civil terms and received an immediate response chastising me for being "rude". Again, unbelievable. I don't know what has happened to this company. Maybe it has new owners. They had the same team answering the phone and setting up appts for years, but I haven't recoginised either of the people with whom I spoke the last two times, neither of whom seemed very sure of what they were doing. I left a message on Saturday and spoke with Amy on Monday and Tuesday after my home was "cleaned" last Friday. I have requested a call from a manager, and I still HAVE NOT received a phone call from a manager.  I do not believe this is good customer service.  This company sent 2 employees to clean my home for a "Move-Out" cleaning, and within 24 hours I responded to let them know of items that were missed in cleaning (cobwebs on blinds and lights, dirty pantry shelves, dirty floor). Amy offered to send a crew back on Monday (too late), I declined because I needed my house cleaned on Friday since I had an appt at my house on Monday to take photos for listing it.  Thus, I cleaned the remainder of my home over the weekend. I was in my garage when the 2 employees left out the front door, almost without saying bye, but I stopped them to tip them.  Yes, I did tip them for the time they spent cleaning, as I typically do for contractors.  At the time I didn't realize how many things were missed.  I asked about 30 minutes before they left if the downstairs had been mopped.  The answer I received was "No Maam, that is the last thing we do".  When I went back inside, the floors were not wet at all. My house was mostly clean to begin with, other than dusty, with cobwebs, and there was basically no furniture in the home.  It needed vacuuming, mopping, dusting of: baseboards, blinds, and light fixtures, and bathrooms and fridge cleaned.    I have pictures of cobwebs on chandeliers, blinds, window sills and baseboards.  I have pictures of pantry shelves that still had flour on them.  I do think customer service is important, and how you respond to your customers needs and requests are definitely important.  I had a simple request of a phone call from a manager, and I have yet to receive one. I normally don't leave bad reviews for a company, but my experience was not positive. I hired Welcome Home Cleaning to deep cleaning my house before I moved in, that had previous been a rental house. Part of the cleaning included cleaning out the cabinets, dusting the ceiling fans, and cleaning the walls. Unfortunately this work was not done. When I sent in pictures and they sent out a 2nd cleaning crew, my cabinets were still not cleaned. I really don't like complaining in a review, but I've used multiple cleaning services before, and never had such a bad experience. read more

I think I'd probably give Welcome Home 2.5 stars, but I decided to round up to 3. First, the good - the scheduling process was very easy. I sent a message through their website and was contacted by someone in the office. They sent me an estimate and the paperwork and I signed up for the monthly cleaning. The cleaners came when expected, and were careful with my belongings. That is important to me. Now, the not-so-good. The primary issue is the cost. I paid over $200 for the first "deep" cleaning. Overall, the cleaning was just okay. I found several spots that were missed, such as sweeping behind doors and scrubbing under the bath mat in the tub. In my bathroom, there was hair on the floor in several places, and my shower door was not scrubbed all the way to the bottom. They also have a strange policy of leaving the rugs bundled up, so I had to go rearrange them all when I got home and I wasn't even sure they actually vacuumed them. I was willing to overlook these problems at first, because I desperately needed the help with cleaning. I wasn't necessarily dissatisfied with anything other than the high price. A few weeks later, before the next cleaning was scheduled, I decided to do some price comparing. Welcome Home had quoted me $167 for the monthly cleaning. Mind you, they were only cleaning a kitchen, a living room, 2 small bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms. They charged me extra in the monthly price to vacuum the couch, and told me if I wanted the dishes done, they'd have to charge even more. So I started hunting around on Yelp for other well-reviewed cleaning services. I contacted one, received the same great customer service, and lo and behold, the quote was for $100 for the monthly cleaning. Um, that's almost 60% cheaper. The lady at the new service asked if Welcome Home used "green" products to justify the cost, and when I said no (I'm pretty sure they don't, because the place smelled like chemicals when I arrived home) she was shocked. Before committing to the new service, I emailed Welcome Home to ask if they did price matching. I was kind of expecting them to reduce their prices at least a bit to keep a customer. But she just flat out said no, and said that the best they could do was to reevaluate it after 3 cleanings. So, I told her I wanted to cancel my service with them and try out the new company. I decided to wait until the new company actually came and did the cleaning before writing this review. I thought perhaps Welcome Home's cleaning would justify the cost compared to other companies. Nope. The other company did a *noticeably* better job cleaning. And to top it off, they vacuumed the couch and did the dishes without charging me more and without me even asking for it. They cleaned all the spots missed by Welcome Home, including the rugs, and put them back where they belonged. Not really sure why Welcome Home charges the prices they do. But I'm not likely to return now that I've found another great company who charges 60% less. I think they're a good company, but the price structure doesn't make much sense. read more

Such a great company! I've used them monthly for over a year. For a while it was every three weeks but I've changed it to every four weeks to save a little money. I still like the one day a month when the house is perfect and it pretty much needs simple maintenance until they come back. Cleaners generally aren't cheap but they're fairly reasonably priced. I pay roughly 150 for two hours. I would cancel the cable to pay for this. That's saying a LOT. Their cleaning regimen covers the bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, dusting, vacuuming, they change the sheets if I leave a set out. They're even willing to vacuum (with a shop vac) and mop the kitty litter room floor. And don't even think it's strange that I'd rather use a separate mop and bucket since it's epically gross in there and I'm a neurotic freak. There are great cleaning details that make me happy: they always dust the blinds and ceiling fans (which I particularly love since my house is so dusty) and they clean inside the microwave. They take out the garbage, even occasionally rinse the garbage can out before putting in a new bag. They literally work from the back to the front of the house and are mopping the floor on their way out the front door and even sweep the front porch. They are really flexible about changing dates and times when I need them to and they are great about staying in contact with me; returning calls quickly, calling to remind me about upcoming visits, occasionally calling to check on the last visit. Most of the time we keep in touch using email which I prefer. There's usually two person crew but there have been a few times when another crew has finished a job early and they'll come help the others. There's really a great feeling of camaraderie among the teams and that makes things work better and generally more pleasant to experience. According to the ladies they each get their own monthly housecleaning after working there for six months. I love this idea! The few times I've had an issue with a cleaning they've come back to clean and made a note about any area I have particular issues about. Sometimes a supervisor will come by after a cleaning for a quality check. I usually just go hide in my office with the crated dogs while they're here but they know to knock and quickly vacuum the office before they leave. And they're always nice about the barking dogs and will give the cats some pets if they're not hiding. My only wish is that I could afford to have them come more often! read more

We hired Welcome Home Cleaning to take care of our small office last week. The space has never had any professional cleaning done; most of the cleaning chores have been vacuuming, taking out the trash, and wiping some some tables. But there were major things that needed to be taken care of, like the super dusty blinds and the fridge no one in the office wanted to volunteer to clean out (it was really gross)... Jessie and Jivion from Welcome Home Cleaning came in and after about 3 hours, the place was SPOTLESS. Super friendly and the entire space looked kind of different, in a good and clean way. They were very meticulous in cleaning every spot. The only minor note I had to add was that the smell was a bit strong, so I'd probably recommend asking for options on cleaning products with less odor if you are sensitive to smell. But besides that, the job was done very well and I'll be definitely hiring them again for future cleanings. read more

I usually clean my own house, and normally I am pretty fanatical about it - I even wash the walls and ceilings periodically to keep dust at bay. But this fall I had a surgery and some other life events that only gave me the time and energy to keep my house tidy and uncluttered, but not truly clean. With the Christmas holidays about to start, and family coming to visit, I realized I needed professional help. When I booked with Welcome Home Cleaning, I felt like I'd been very upfront with our house's large square footage and how picky I am about cleanliness. I thought I was getting 3 people for at least 6 hours or 2 people for 8 or more. The day of our job, when the cleaners weren't there by 9:45 AM, I called the office and heard they were sending only two people and they would not arrive until 11 AM. I was seriously worried that there was not enough time allowed for just two cleaners to do the extreme deep clean on our 3800 square foot house, and frankly - I was getting a little annoyed with the office managers because I'd paid a big amount (just over $500) for the job, and felt like I had been very specific that it would take a lot of work and time. Well, I am delighted to admit I was absolutely wrong. Bonnie and Jessica arrived after 11 AM, were sweet, positive and friendly people, and they worked so efficiently and hard that our house was gleaming from top to bottom before 6 PM. I had underestimated how dirty the house was, but the crew was able to stay late and get everything perfectly clean. I hired Welcome Home Cleaning to do a deep clean of our office after being in the space (with 9 people) for about a year and a half. It needed a good clean, both wiping down surfaces, vacuuming and rug cleaning. The staff came in early in the morning and immediately got to start in areas where we weren't working to cause minimal interruptions. They were respectful and quick while we worked and spent a good amount of time polishing the tables and making each room look and smell great. I have no complaints at all over the work they did. They even spent time cleaning out our office fridge and microwave, making sure old things were thrown out and any old spills were cleaned up. I'd recommend them both for home and office cleaning, and will be using them again. read more

If you decide to go with this service, if you request certain things over the phone, make it clear again what needs to be done upon arrival BEFORE they start cleaning AND ask them politely to stay while you double check when finished. I requested for deep cleaning service and I emphasized that I really wanted the baseboards, window sills, and exterior of the cabinets to be cleaned. The service also included that the cleaners wear shoe covers upon request, which I requested. The RESULT- none of those things were done. They did less than half of the services that were listed in my contract when they quoted me AND they left one hour early. They did not ask me to check if the work done was to satisfaction and just quickly rushed out. I had to ask if they finished, to which they quickly said yes. Our blinds were not dusted, none of the bedroom window sills were cleaned, baseboards not cleaned at all, and the list goes on. I sent them pictures and showed proof of their unfinished work and I asked for a different team to be sent. Not only did they refuse my request, they ignored completely what I communicated with them and sent me the same team back. Since they refused to send me another team, I asked for a partial refund and they offered a 19% discount. I wanted to pay for the work that was done but I was not willing to pay 81% of the price for 50% of the work done. (Mind you, I live in a newly built property and I really just wanted the baseboards and window sills to be cleaned.) I even offered to pay the full amount if they just complete the work requested performed by another team. Customer service said they will get back to me but have not heard back. Instead, they just simply charged my credit card without resolving the issue. They will NOT listen to you, they will not honor the contract and their own 100% guaranteed satisfaction. This company has been one of the worst experiences I had with businesses. The good news is, the 50% of the services performed were done well. The bad news is, the other 50% wasn't. read more

I used Welcome Home for the first time last week for a spring cleaning and I was very pleased with the results. As promised, I got a phone call from Sherry and Ericka when they were on their way to me, and they arrived a few minutes before our scheduled appointment time. I have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath ground-floor apartment (very dusty, lots of corner spider webs) and they were finished in a little under two hours. I was pleased to see the attention they gave to the bathrooms, the baseboards, the dusting/vacuuming/mopping in general - they even used a long-handled duster to clean the A/C intake vent on the ceiling and the can-style track lighting. When scheduling your appointment, be sure to mention whether you have a lot of bookshelves - I was surprised to learn that books are considered clutter (to me, clutter is great-aunt Suzy's salt and pepper shaker collection), but when I realized their full service would include removing the books form the shelves and dusting all of them, I guess it makes sense. I was very happy for them to dust the front of the bookshelves and the tops of the books without removing everything from its place. Sherry told me she found mold around some of my windows, indicating the weatherproofing needs repair and prompting me to submit a maintenance request to my apartment manager. We have had our first cleaning for our new home and it was excellent. It was nice coming home to a super clean kitchen and bathroom. From start to finish Welcome Home Cleaning Services was a great company for my move out cleaning. I asked three companies for a quote, and WHCS got back with me significantly quicker than the other two. They were very friendly when I talked with them on the phone and very accommodating. I work 8-5 and was going to have problems dropping off a key, but they worked with me and it was super easy. They showed up and the electricity has already been disconnected. I felt terrible that it had happened and it was definitely my mistake. Again, they were very nice about it and Josh and Karlata cleaned my studio apartment anyway under limited lighting conditions. Luckily I didn't have carpet. I checked in on the place after they finished cleaning and I'm very happy with how clean it was. Welcome Home Cleaning came to our rescue with an absolutely amazing move out clean! I was totally blown away by the work they did, especially on the refrigerator and stove/oven. I tried this service based on all the wonderful reviews here. Unfortunately, that's not the service that we got. The first time they came to do the pricey initial cleaning they did not do everything that is stated on their site that they do (clean fridge, fans, light switches, door knobs, etc.). The first words spoken to us by one of the cleaners were also "We only have 21/2 hours" - granted this is at the front door. Okay, geez. They have now come a total of three times, and today was pretty much on par with the first time... didn't complete all work as promised, etc. We have had the same unpleasant person each time, too. Today they called to say that they would be at the house in 15 minutes, and showed up four hours later. This is unprofessional and inconvenient when you work from home and schedule your day around them being there. We moved into a new home on 9/13/15 and we chose Welcome Home after seeing all the good reviews on Yelp. I got three estimates from three separate companies for a move in, whole house clean. Even though Welcome Home was the most expensive, I still chose them assuming expensive would translate to quality. I had to call back and have them re-do the cleaning twice. That made three times in one week they were out to the new house. Even after the third cleaning we still found a few things undone. If the initial clean was as good as the third one this review would have a lot more stars. The only reason they get 2 stars from me and not 1 is because all the staff were very friendly. I was never made to feel bad for calling back and each time the cleaners agreed that the previous cleans were deficient. Bottom line, I was very disappointed in the quality of work I got for a maximum price. I shouldn't have had to spend my whole week trying to get my empty house cleaned. read more

I needed my apartment cleaned because my complex required me to have it professionally done. They were able to accommodate my same day service need. The next day, I call and ask for an invoice and the super nice lady I spoke to the day before was out of the office. I get my invoice and they charged me more than double for the services. I called and said I could give them the original quote, but they advised they had that already, but went ahead and charged my card more the double without letting me know they were going to do that. I never once heard an apology from them. After leaving a bad review on Yelp, the office manager reached out to me to discuss my experience. She even said she would run a check out to me that night if needed, but I said it wasn't necessary. The next day, the nice lady from my first conversation called me to also apologize for my bad experience. She wanted to make it up to me, and sent me Tiff's Treats to make me feel better about the experience. It's not about the bad experience but it's about how you handle it, and after that, I would recommend using them to anyone. read more
