This is a quaint Oriental market that may be easily missed, but it's definitely worth a stop! Although small, they have lots of choices and are very organized. Small aisles stacked from top to bottom filled with sauces, Asian cooking ingredients, fun snacks, oils, rices, noodles, etc.! I love having access to my favorite Asian ingredients - it allows me to make many copy cat versions of my restaurant favorites! What sets this place apart is the best entire room full of dishes and fun/unique Asian gifts. Different chopsticks, bowls, plates, interesting shaped dishes, and other really cute gifts! It's not really cheap, but I do find that the dishes "made in Japan" are great quality. They have miso soup spoons which I appreciate also! The couple who owns it is also very sweet and helpful. They're always there to ask any questions or to help you locate your favorite products. I'm from the city of San Francisco I truly miss the Asian markets. I discovered this little shop last year and I am absolutely thrilled they have 95% of all the classic Asian ingredients. The staff is extremely helpful and understanding regional Chinese as well Tai, Filipino, Japanese pretty much all of the Pacific rim popular food items. The absolute best customer service I have ever experienced! My 9 month old had just fallen asleep shortly before I got there and I called and told them I needed nori but I didn't want to wake up my baby. This place stands out as the #1 Asian Grocery Market on the Treasure Coast in my book! I must start off by saying the most important part of the enjoyable shopping experience is the staff! The staff welcomes you with open arms, and are super friendly and approachable! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their products; if you're not sure what to get or what you're getting, the staff will suggest something to suit your needs. They always have a smile on their face and are happy to see you; they appreciate your business and new customers as well! My first experience was great, right off the bat! The selection of food is incredibly diverse (Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Filipino & Vietnamese). The food section has a big inventory and there is a lot to choose from, from frozen/refrigerated food to groceries, spices, instant lunches, snacks & sweets! The seafood in the frozen section is kept separate from any other refrigerated/shelf products that could absorb the smell, unlike most local Asian markets! Everything is kept fresh and clean. My most favorite part of the shopping aspect is the Japanese gift shop! It's one big room full of goodies! They have everything you could possibly imagine an Asian gift shop to have; wall decor, tea/coffee cups, sake/tea sets, coin bags, purses, plates/bowls, charms, keychains, fans, lanterns, tabi socks/sandals, incense, statues/figurines and even office supplies (pens/pencils, decorative erasers, magnets, stickers). It reminds me of a miniature version of the Japanese Epcot gift shop if you've experienced it! Everything in the gift shop and the food section is reasonably priced! This is the best Oriental Market I have ever been to. The Owners are so helpful, they always stock what we need. My family has a Restaurant in Jensen Beach, and I go as often as I can. I love this little grocery store. The staff is really nice and very helpful. I was there once when they were having a family party in the back and they invited the customers to try all the food.
