The staff were friendly and helpful. We were very happy that our small dog was allowed to join us. The staff shared with us that they allow dogs on tritoons, canoes, some stand-up paddleboards, the fishing boat, and select pontoons. Arrangements should be made in advance, especially pontoon rentals, so plan accordingly. The day came, and we checked in for our reservation. We were kindly greeted and given the rundown and took care of the paperwork. Afterward, we looked around the marina main office at the souvenir goodies provided such as t-shirts, mugs, stickers, and a few locally made items displayed. They also have items like sunscreen, snacks, and sandals available to purchase. A restroom on the outer of the building is provided, so take advantage before boarding your boat rental. The pontoon boat we rented ($180 for four hours on a weekday) was practically brand new and perfectly maintained. It was very clean and had a nice setup. The staff provided a map of the lake along with some tips on where to find the rope swings and the islands you could park at. If you visit the islands, be aware there's red dirt. Be sure to clean your feet before boarding the boat again to avoid any cleaning fee after you bring the boat back to the marina. We had a great experience that made repeat customers out of us. Beautiful, clean, and quiet lake, friendly and helpful staff, tip top boat rental with affordable pricing, AND dog friendly- great all around, and we highly recommend.

We…read morehad rented a boat for Labor Day weekend and upon arrival were given a hassle about parking with multiple vehicles. Mind you, we rented a boat to fit 10 people, so obviously we weren't going to be showing up in just 1-2 cars. Anyway, that wasn't the true issue here. It wasn't communicated to us that we couldn't all park at the marina, but it wasn't a big deal as the parking attendant told us we could park our extra vehicles at the Inn down the road. So, we would just have to shuttle back to the marina in one of the vehicles we were keeping there. Upon parking our vehicles at the Inn which we were told to do by their parking attendant, we were "greeted" by the male owner telling us we can't park there. Someone in our group expressed to the male owner that the parking situation and miscommunication about it was a bit frustrating, as it was making us late for our boat rental and it all could be handled better for future customers. The owner then immediately proceeded to tell our friend we are no longer renting a boat (after we have already unloaded all of our things, stowed them away onto the boat, got two handicapped elderly members of our group loaded onto it and got myself & my 3 year old child loaded onto to it), called my friend an "a**hole" simply for expressing frustration AND BEST OF ALL, telling us we will not be getting a refund after he is cancelling our reservation. Luckily, the female owner did refund us after some back & forth. Unfortunately for her (as she was very kind and pleasant), she is doing business with someone who is obviously short fused and doesn't care much about customer service. We have given this place business multiple times over the past few years, so we are really disappointed with our experience and will not be returning or suggesting for others to do so.

The river is just a short walk down a well lit path at night deep enough to wade in with lots of chairs, fire pit and a horse shoe pit. We'll be returning when staying in that area again. It was only four minutes from our Whitewater Rafting spot, how could we not?! I'd read the reviews about it being under new ownership and under renovation. Still is. One of the owners, Jerry, checked us in. He was helpful and polite. Our room was large and clean. The bed very comfortable. I slept so well! There are brand new smart TVs in the rooms so we were able to Netflix and Chill all we wanted. Also microwave and mini fridge in room were useful. Nice towels. Good water pressure. Cold ac. Things I didn't love. The ice machine requires 25 cents per bucket. No hair dryer in room. Had to search for a working outlet. I think there could still be some walls painted, tiles fixed, bathroom spruced, etc. But this was a lovely inn and I'd be happy to stay there again anytime.

We figured it was from the pipes and a good dosage of pine sol would take care of that, but it didn't work. It was evident the problem was beyond the scope of the hotel and nothing they would do would get rid of the odor. We decided to cut the trip short and leave a day early. The bed was miserable with a crater in the middle and the AC unit threw out musty/mildew vapors which triggered my asthma and caused me to gasp awake choking on it. No matter what they tried to do to renovate, this hotel has age on it that they can't hide. If you're willing to risk these issues this place might me for you, but no matter the amenities and other niceties about staying here, my impression has been ruined by this experience and I am crossing it off my list.

Although they do not allow smoking in the rooms, smoking is allowed on the porch outside of each room. If you are smoke sensitive you need to be aware of this smoking policy. We stayed two nights. Check-in was easy enough although our greeting was not unfriendly it did not set a comfortable tone. A basket of fruit, granola bars & mini muffins were left in our room for the second morning but I was not told if there was a basket for the first morning of our stay. A coffee maker is available in the room. Noise levels here are not bad considering the motel is located downtown with restaurants nearby although late arrivals can be noisy. They have several motorcycle guests here.

She did call around 10:00pm, while we were in bed, and said she could move us to a bigger room. We were already sleeping . The room we got was extremely dark, with old furniture and paint chipping. The bartender in the bar, said he cold make anything, then didn't have what I wanted. Gave me a substitute liquor, which was not even close and made me sick. The continental breakfast was scones, packets of oatmeal, some fruit and some dry cereal. Bad Coffee and 10 tea bags, none of which I would ever drink. They consider this an artsy boutique type of hotel, I felt like we were on "Skid Row". Marriott should cut ties!!!
