It's small and charming gem. We have stayed here in our trailer twice. It's quiet, except for the occasional loud vehicle from the road. The view is amazing. It's close to the dam and water access: The owner/manager is very welcoming, super nice and so helpful. Our kids stayed in one of the rooms and enjoyed their stay as well. They said the bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. It is our preferred place to stay when in the area as we tried the KOA once, and it's definitely a KO-nAy for us. Great customer service from the man in the office. He was great on the phone and in person. The park is small and in my opinion is not suited well for a large 5th wheel. The lots are tight and so is the entire facility. We were on lot 6. In my opinion the price does not match the amenities. They did not have picnic tables, fire rings or a bathhouse. We paid $56/night and the website said $29. The lots a stone and mostly level. The turn into the facility is better if you come in off Millholand road. If you come in after driving over the dam you will have to make a hairpin left turn or be forced to turn around. Also in my opinion this campground is better for small units as there are sharp turns and trees. Also there is a steep downhill exit which caused my truck bed to collide with the bottom of my camper. read more

Easy access to Blue Ridge, quiet, management exceptionally responsive and friendly. Older but well maintained; everything you need. The room we were in had all the amenities of a major chain other than food nearby, and that was only a five or ten minute drive into the non-downtown area. Communication with the Manager, Dan, was great. This is what Mom and Pop lodging should strive for. The cleaning lady was friendly and helpful. I did not use the RV area but the person I talked to that was using it was very happy and had been there for several months while waiting for his house to be built. I would certainly go back and stay there over any of the other options available in town. Hilton it is not, but I am very happy with my stay there and would recommend it over much higher end lodging. read more

A nice place to rest in beautiful northern Georgia. Dan was very nice and the room had everything we needed and more (cable tv, mini fridge, coffee maker, good AC). We stayed in room #1. It seemed like all the rooms had a beautiful Mountain View's. There are a few cats around that were also very friendly. Highly recommended! read more

What an AMAZING VIEW. Lots of room between trailers in pull through sites. Gorgeous views on the ridge sites. It's intimate, has a fire pit and a small picnic area overlooking long range mountain views. It's just minutes from town. We were relaxed and felt safe. We stayed here for a few months while buying a house in the area. This was by far the best experience we've had at an rv park in our seven months of traveling around Georgia and parts of Florida looking for home sweet home. The manager's Dan and Beth were very kind and very helpful. We would recommend this to all. Keep in mind, there aren't outdoor bathrooms. We would come back in a heartbeat. read more

I can't help by first pointing out that our room had cockroaches. I'm not talking about large Georgia "water bugs" - the roaches in our room were straight up German cockroaches that infest houses. I know for a fact because I moved into an apartment last year that had a roach infestation in the kitchen. My wife and I did not notice any roaches when we moved all of our stuff into the room. We were in the room for about 15 minutes and left to sightsee. When we returned in the evening my wife found an adult German cockroach in the bathroom. I immediately killed it, but found a few babies on the bathroom sink and mirror. We thought: okay, we're near the woods and there are a few bugs in our room maybe this is just a minor issue. The next morning we woke up and found a few more baby cockroaches on the bathroom sink and mirror. We killed them and left for the day. We came back late the second night and found 2 adult cockroaches in the bathroom and 1 was near the TV stand. There were about 8 babies on the bathroom sink and mirror. I killed every roach I could get to. I went to the bathroom an hour later and there were 5 more babies on the sink and mirror. It was about midnight and I asked my wife if she wanted to leave, she said that we should just sleep and leave early and try to ask for a refund. It was a very busy weekend in Blue Ridge and we would have been lucky to find a hotel room that late at night. The next day we packed the car and went to check out. The owner asked, "How was your stay?" I replied, "It was awful, our room has cockroaches." She replied, "That's strange, we spray for bugs every two weeks." I said, "Well we had to deal with killing cockroaches all night." She smiled and said, "Well, I hope you enjoyed your stay and had a great time in Blue Ridge." I was completely baffled by this response. Mind you, I did not really expect that the owner would give a refund because I'm sure she is well aware of the cockroach problem. However, she did not even remotely apologize. She smiled the whole time as if we were making lite small talk. Cockroaches carry diseases for crying out loud. My wife and I used the sink to brush our teeth and cockroaches crawled all over the sink and mirror. I used up 2 rolls of toilet paper killing a total of 4 adult cockroaches and 20+ babies. She acted like I said, "You know, not a big deal, but we found a few red lady bugs in our room." Now I suppose there may be a few skeptics out there. Maybe you think that it was a fluke and our room just had a minor bug issue. Here are a number of other issues we had: 1) The owner told my wife over the phone that if we couldn't make it for check-in by 6pm then we should call and let her know. We called and told her that due to traffic we would get there at about 6:30pm. When we arrived, the owner mentioned about 4 times how she had to "patiently" wait for us and didn't know if we would arrive or not. She also started complaining about how busy it was during the weekend and how much work she had to do. My family owns a business and we would never complain to customers directly. This was very unprofessional of the owner. 2) The room was pretty small. Just a love seat, bed, small table, tv, mini frig, and tv stand. The tv was pretty dated and small. Also, the tv channel guide printout was sticky and gross. The love seat was old, dusty, and had a few cigarette burns in it. I flipped through the Yellow Pages provided in the room and it was covered in dust - I started coughing and sneezing. 3) The bed was not very comfortable and there were only two pillows. The blankets were old and stained. It was unclear if the bedding had been washed before we got there. The extra blanket was some old and itchy wool blanket. 4) I washed my hands in the bathroom and went to dry my hands. The bathroom towel bar fell and hit my foot really hard (I was not wearing socks). I managed to put it back up. However, 10 minutes later it fell again on my wife's foot. 5) There were 2 large, 1 medium, and 2 small towels all crammed onto the bathroom towel bar for some reason. Since the towel bar fell twice on the ground, my wife and I decided not to use those towels. The "maid service" was only bringing new towels to our room and nothing else. Plus, the towel my wife used had a hole in it. Fortunately, I used a towel I brought from home. 6) I was very disappointed with the lock on the front door. There was no deadbolt or chain. The only lock was a very basic lock on the doorknob. Also, the window in the bathroom was not securely in place. I realize that crime is probably very low in the area but it would be VERY easy to break into our room. I saw a security monitor in the main office, but it looked like it was from the 1990s. read more

The room we occupied had a fully equipped kitchen. We will recommend this location to friends and family. As we are driving home now, we are discussing a return visit soon. read more

We organized a group of 11-13 people for a rafting trip. We were looking for accommodations for all. Some had motorcycles, some had horse trailers, some had RV's, and some needed lodging. We found the perfect place!!!! The owners of the lodge were extremely courteous, polite, and professional. Besides us booking our rafting trip with Raft 1 (great place by the way), Dan at the lodge helped us every step of the way. They took the time out to answer questions as we prepared for our long journey, offered things to do in the cute town, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The entire campground was clean, organized, well manicured, and just beautiful (inside and out). The cabins (old and new), RV sites, and common areas were all extremely well kept. There were plenty of amenities to keep us busy. The mountain views and scenery were out of this world. I can't say enough good things about the owners, accommodations, and facilities. (and patience - as I had a lot of questions for the group and we needed to be sure due to the fact that we were traveling such a long distance). You can trust what Dan says about the site, location, size, etc. is true, the owners were very welcoming and very friendly. We had a fantastic time on our stay here! The managers, Dan and Beth are very accommodating and it was nice that they live on-site so they were always there if we needed anything. They are such a sweet couple and you feel like you really are their personal guests when you're there. The rooms were immaculately clean which is not surprising since the managers are both Marines! Very detail oriented. We stayed in cabin 4 which was amazing! It had a full kitchen with dishes and cookware and utensils. It also was very cozy and had that quaint cabin feel to it with its fireplace, comfortable furniture, and solid wood walls and doors. We really enjoyed the view in the afternoon of the mountains when we ventured around back and had a great time by the bonfire in the evening. I just wished I had brought some marshmallows for roasting. There are great things to do very nearby. Since the lodge is adjacent to the Toccoa River and a lake on the other side, adventure on the water was nearby. There's fishing, kayaking, zip lining, and tubing. There's even a jet ski rental nearby. If you want to grill out they have a nice covered pavilion on site with an outdoor grill. There was so much to do there and nearby that we'll definitely be coming back. The rates are amazing as well! Check out their site for the latest ones. They have cabins, a cottage, and a lake house.
