Truly a 5 star experience. First -- the staff is so kind! Also, this is a small hotel, and truly feels like a "home". The decor is very unique and artistic; I booked it for a photoshoot and the room was perfect (I got "The Kite" king suite). The amenities were top notch, comfortable bed, great tub, nice balcony! I even had little bird visitors outside that were so cute. The only downside was no fridge in the room, but that was it. Cute bar downstairs with a small menu too. I definitely enjoyed my short time here. Highly recommend!

Patio is nice to get some fresh air.

I really like this place. The rooms are so nice & with a big tub to relax in. Ben, at the front counter was very welcoming and friendly. Hope to come back again.

This 16 room hotel is really something! So much so that it deserves its own album on my Facebook page. This place oozes wonderful customer service, moderm mid-century style, charm and tons of coziness. My husband and I highly recommend this hotel even if for just one night. I think I got a picture of every corner of this place, our room which is named The New Yorker (each room has its own name and style). I did sneak and take pictures of another room by ours (The Tiki) that happened to be open. #thedwellhotel i give this hotel an A++

Me and my husband stayed here for a quick overnight get away, and it was nothing short of amazing! We were greeted at the front desk by a super sweet man who checked us in and gave us the history of the hotel as he escorted us to our room. Everything is retro like and the whole space is beautifully decorated. Our actual room was amazing. We had a balcony which was great. My favorite part was relaxing in the soak tub! The rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfy! 10/10 experience for sure. We will definitely be back to visit.

Super cute hotel, all of the staff was extremely accommodating/welcoming. Loved the aesthetic of it all and that all of the rooms were themed different. There were too many intricate details to mention, just go see for yourself. We did not personally enjoy the breakfast restaurant in the hotel but that doesn't mean you wont.

If you get the chance to stay here, do it! The rooms are all so uniquely decorated (retro yet modern) and make you feel at home, but like your dream home. The king-sized bed was beyond comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Ben, Mark, and Larin. There's even a cool little bar where you can get a few small dishes, like this perfectly spiced, very tasty jerk bbq pork sandwich with coleslaw (and the bartender, Jessie, was super friendly, too.)

This might not be the longest review, but it will be a great one! This hotel is so sleek and sexy! Every room has its own them and cheers to the team that put them together! What a wonderful era to have lived in. The hotels staff was absolutely amazing and very hands on. They pride themselves and their hotel and that says a lot about a place. The stunning lounge area is hands down fabulous! When you sit in the bar/ lounge area you just think movie stars and glamorous people could be all around you! The decor is just so amazing and the hand wooden chairs. Spectacular atmosphere! The bar staff was on point and assertive. My cocktail and small salad was delicious and refreshing! I legit just felt so beautiful being here! I forgot to add... I'm a makeup artist and traveled to Chattanooga from Knoxville for a shoot in the room! Not only was my client beautiful, but the room just made it that much better! Cheers to the Dwell! I look forward to staying here for a little getaway with my husband!

This place is like the Hotel California or The Shining. I'm not sure if you aren't allowed to leave or will just never want to leave. This place has an amazing throwback vibe, with every suite designed with a different kind of retro (we had the Tropicana suite with balcony). They have two restaurants/bars: the solarium and Matilda midnight. One is a sunny, brunch-like daytime vibe. The other is a dark, smoky night vibe. The solarium has great brunch and amazing spicy bloody Mary's. Matilda Midnight does a lot of classy appetizers and dark liquor drinks. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, however be careful to specify if you want a quiet room. Our room itself was GORGEOUS, however it was near the stairwell and apparently under a housekeeping room, so there was a lot of disruptive noise. Noise is easily conveyed in this old rebuilt beauty. The staff was always kind and accommodating (and diverse, which was refreshing), and we were greeted at the door with cocktails. Valet parking top notch. This place is full of class and unique vintage furniture and art. You'll never find another place like this in Chattanooga.

Had the pleasure of staying here this weekend. We came up for a show at The Tivoli, which is a short walk from The Dwell. The hotel was everything we thought it would be. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, great bar and restaurant. We were even greeted with a cocktail when we arrived. The complimentary breakfast is a real breakfast and the biscuits were delicious!! We can't wait to come back.

What a hotel!!! Only 16 rooms and free valet. From the time I checked in to checking out I felt like the staff really cared and they became almost neighborly. We got a call around 8 as they were trying to find an owner of a car parked illegally and held off the city tow truck from towing as they were guests... even though the guest did illegally park. The rooms are eclectic but inviting, large and comfortable, and have all kinds of amenities. I almost deducted a star as the tv did not work but it just meant more talking and an opportunity to relax. The rooms are ultra quiet and if you need more quietness they will provide free earplugs and a sound machine. Enjoy the soaking tub and bath salts. We did!

My room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly large, with beautiful views of the city. The staff was welcoming, and the overall atmosphere felt upscale while still being relaxed and inviting. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Forge, the hotel's restaurant. If you visit, do yourself a favor and order the Honey Whipped Feta. The creamy, silky feta paired with sweet honey and served with charred baguette was absolutely delicious and one of the best appetizers I've had in a long time. (In my opinion:The hotel doesn't look like the pictures that are located on booking. Com) Initially, the housekeeping staff did not thoroughly clean the room. After reporting this issue to the front office, a staff member named James explained that the level of cleaning depended on whether a deep clean or a regular clean was performed. This indicated that the sink, which remained dirty from the morning, was not to be cleaned during the regular service. Additionally, between approximately 1:30 am and 3:30pm. each night, I experienced someone attempting to enter my room by twisting the door knob. On the first night, May 25, 2026, l attempted to report this incident to the front desk; however, management was unavailable, and my concern was not relayed to security or management. On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, I was able to speak with James, to whom I reported both incidents. He explained that the night manager was on lunch and would return by 11:30pm l informed him that we were exhausted and had been out all day, requesting that the manager call me before 11:30am Unfortunately, this call was never received. Around 1:30 a.m., the issue recurred. I contacted Cain, the front desk manager, who stated that James had only left a note instructing him to call me. I reiterated my concerns regarding housekeeping and was told he would contact housekeeping to clarify their responsibilities. Furthermore, I expressed concern about someone continuously attempting to tamper with my door knob each night. My 14-year-old daughter was also present in the room. Cain suggested that I use earplugs, to which I responded that if I had already informed staff about someone trying to force entry, earplugs would not address the safety issue. Throughout my stay, I felt there was a lack of urgency and professionalism. I experienced significant sleep deprivation due to these disturbances.

From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The environment is genuinely nice, some vintage Volkswagens were on display in the lobby... the kind of space that feels welcoming instead of transactional. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable. So I came in expecting standard hotel beige and left thinking about snack cakes, spotless rooms, and how easy they made the whole trip feel. Four stars, and yes, Little Debbie absolutely helped close the deal. And the VW's are a nice twist too!
