Problem solved! 5 years later, the flange was leaking and the ceiling downstairs is dripping. The toilet was glued to the floor with RTV and that was hiding a massive leak! Turns out they shoved in two wax rings on top of each other, and there was a cone that restricted the drain down to about 3". The cone prevented a flush from dropping immediately down the drain, and the wax ring sandwich leaked! The cone also caused a lot of clogs over the years. Now I have an almost $6,000 plumbing repair, I have to patch my ceiling, and I have a mold issue! There's never time to do it right, but there's always time to do it twice! I also found old cans of Modelo in my attic after the flip!

I had a unique situation where the cabinet under my kitchen sink had mold and had to be torn out,…read morealong with the lower part of the wall behind it. I hired a mold remediation company to do this and then turned the job over to Angel at Handy Home service. I needed to have the kitchen sink re-plumbed, a new dishwasher, faucet and disposal installed, the drywall under sink patched, a new kitchen cabin installed under the sink without removing the counters, and a large window re-caulked and sealed. I had a couple of kitchen contractors come by and they all said the counter had to be removed and replaced with a new one-a huge expense. Angel and HHS were able to do everything. He sent me a bid that was reasonable and outlined the costs for labor, materials, etc. The plumbing, the drywall, the appliance installation, the painting, the carpentry required, etc-Angel did it all. Turns out we had two other leaks beside the kitchen drain pipe, the cleanout was leaking where the stucco had chipped away and the framing around the garden window above the sink. Angel and Jaime spent half a day going over how to seal up the window, which required persistence, knowledge and patience. I thought I would get charged additionally for this, but was not. Angel was very easy to work with, attentive and flexible. He was the expert, the professional, but it was my money and that separation worked out fine. Communication was excellent. I would recommend Angel for any handy man work you need around the house. His knowledge, fairness and positive attitude helped make a rather difficult job go down without any aggravation or complaint.
