I hate taking my boat to the shop to be repaired. I had done a bunch of research on the web and changed out everything they said it could be for why my 225hp Honda wasn't running right. I finally decided to take it to a Honda Mechanic to see what they could do. Eagle Marine is fantastic. They troubleshoot the issue, figured out what was wrong. They gave me a list of things I had to get fixed, things I should replace since we were going into the engine and things That I could replace but didn't need to right now. I would highly suggest avoiding this establishment. Took my Mercury Pro XS in for a job I was quoted $600 less at a dealership. Took it into Eagle due to limited availability. They had done one job for me a year prior and all was well and good. They performed a 3 hour diagnostic at a high labor fee then told us they spent 7 hours to fix the issue. The issue ended up being the air diaphragm, which multiple other mechanics told me was a 2 hour job at most. This place will milk you for labor at a high price to boot. read more

We anticipated having the boat there for a month, since that's what most of the local repair shops were telling us it would take to get parts and do the repair, but Eagle Marine turned it around in just 2 weeks and we are back in the water. I brought in my boat to Eagle Marine to have my tilt trim motor repair. They inspected it gave me a date to take it in and took my boat in for repair. They said they'll have it done by end of the week and they'll call me before they start work. I dropped it off Monday and it's Wednesday already and no call from them so I call them and ask if they'll still be able to have it done by Friday and they said yes. I get a call the next day saying they won't be able to fix my boat. They said my motor was bad and had bad compression. I paid them for the diagnostic and took my boat to another shop and they said the compression is fine and that my motor computer is damaged. It was working just fine before I brought it in for the tilt trim repair which I had noticed from a night of fishing. I tried to put my motor up at the dock and it wouldn't go up and I noticed the oil slick on top of the water. Once i got it out of the water, I can see one of the seal was broken. This is when I parker at the parking lot to wait until they're open in the morning. My boat went from the water to their shop and came out with bad computer on the motor. This bad computer problem caused my motor to go into guardian mode. I was with a buddy fishing that night and he'll tell you my motor was not on guardian mode from a bad computer before taking it in there shop. I'm Not saying everyone will get this treatment from them but just be careful. read more

GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT SERVICE. #1 in my book! Better late than never for a review - work was done in 2017 I was having a Yamaha 225 4 stroke losing horsepower. I went to outboard motor shop in Oakland at first and that was one of the worst experiences I have ever dealt with. After 3 months of my boat sitting in their yard I decided to take my boat back and head to Eagle Marine. I called and talked with Tom and Justin and felt good after talking with them to bring it down. Long story short after some investigations, I needed a new outboard motor. The way I was treated throughout the process of purchasing a new motor and am still treated to this day was and is absolutely amazing. Their customer service is TOP NOTCH! As anyone who knows boats and motors putting a new 300HP 4 stroke Yamaha on the back isn't cheap. I can say when all was done they did an amazing job and i walked away extremely satisfied with my purchase. To this day when I call they are very attentive and helpful and always go the extra mile for me. Calling them is almost like calling a good friend who works on boats. That's how i can describe their operations. I would recommend them to anyone looking for boat service or repair or motor replacement and more. The 5 stars at the top should tell it all. I was so happy when guy name BOB came out to see what was happening with my boat out front of the shop! So here is what happen I took my boat out and it started to lose power when I put it into gear and I spoke to a guy name BOB and told him if He can see what is wrong with my boat. So I dropped it off and a week later he calls me telling me it was going to be around $3,900 to fix the boat!!! So I asked him what was the issue he said well look the mechanic said that the water pump needs to be replaced I said really that's funny I replace that last week then he said okay I will revise the estimate! That's crazy why are you adding things to my invoice? So I asked him what was the matter with the motor why was it running rough? He responded well few things ! One the oil needs to be replaced I said really I did that look the oil is new! He responded well let's mark that one off the list!!!! This became a joke!. So I asked BOB again why was my motor running rough he then said we recommend replacing a list of things I said will that fix my motor ?. He was talking about replacing my seals for the sea star steering I laughed and said don't you remember I told you I did that already and it was not leaking!!!!. So I asked him one last time why was my motor running rough then he said the motor was losing power in 1 and 3. I said were he said injectors so I said how much would that cost to fix? He said around $1,500. So I was very upset with how this was all going so I paid over $500 for them to tell me that fuel injectors were the issues now that's crazy! Anyways watch out for that boat shop look into a place that will not try and take you for your money!!! I am going to see if they do this to other people DO NOT GO THERE TRUST ME I WORK ON BOAT IN THE PAST AND FOR A DIAGNOSTICS TEST FOR ONE HOUR OF WORK SHOULD OF BEEN $150 it doesn't take more than an hour to hook up a reader to the motor and find out we're the issue is!!!! So believe what those other guys say about how this place is. Note when I got my boat back I bought fuel injectors from amazon for $58 for 4 of them and they were trying to charge me $180 each or to clean my old ones for $45 each plus $150 hour rate lol I did it my self for $58 and took 30 minutes and it fired up and runs great! Just really watch your self and always get two or three boat places recommendation. I look forward to see what trash talking the owner is going to leave on this review I seen the other one how the owner was talk back well that's exactly how there work quality is takes after him!!!! Brought my 20' IO VEC hulled performance boat in with significant outdrive and transom damage. They performed a professional evaluation of the damage and full identification of any other issues with the boat. Eagle Marine worked diligently with my insurance provider to replace the drive and complete the fiberglass repair. With the motor out, we addressed several maintenance items, some of which they determined could be serviced rather than replaced, saving me from needless expense. They want you to be safe in your craft and will be straight with you. Eagle Marine did an amazing job resolving a major problem with my Mercury XS 150 outboard. I had been having problems with the motor blowing out the air regulator valve, 4 in one year leaving me stranded several times. Took the boat to a different dealer in the North Bay and they couldn't find the problem, even worked with the factory on the issue. They replaced the valve told me to pick up the boat. The valve failed again in just 2 hours on the water. So I went to Eagle Marine. They also worked with the factory but went the extra mile to prove the valve was getting over pressured, and convinced the factory to cover much of the costs to resolve the issue. I cant say enough good things about Eagle Marine, they are really customer focused!! read more

Many places give you attention based on how much they think you are going to spend, or are actually spending. Not here, you call or walk through the door & you are a person. There are two shops closer to me where I can get parts & this is the only one I plan on using. When shopping around for a new 2.3 hp kicker outboard they treated me like I was buying a new boat. While I was there, staff/owner knew half of the customers that came through the door by first name. I did a credit app for the small engine I got and they did not blink in helping even though the profit was obviously pretty small. Rachelle there sorted it out with Honda in an hour when another shop seemed to be put off by a credit app for a $1000, and said it would take at least 24 hours. Great inventory too. After many wrong diagnosis from Eagle Marine, for the engine missing, cutting out and dying issue, they attempted to repair my boat. The first attempt to repair the boat was to replace the carb and coil. I had asked them to check the fuel tank filters ,they ran it and said it was repaired. We took it out and it continued to act as previously as stated. Took it back,and they charged me another diagnosis fee, they now said it was a wiring problem, they said they repaired it and test ran it, yet another charge. Again, said it ran great. I took it out for vacation for a week of fun,to my surprise it didn't run. Called eagle marine, they couldn't help me. I had to call a mechanic out on the lake, he adjusted the carb, but it didn't help much. Returned home checked the tank filters and to my surprise, they were never replaced. I replaced them and it ran great, the problem I asked them to check first! Well a $10.00 part was the issue.$3,700 paid to Eagle Marine and was never fixed. After wasting my time at Gone Fishing Marine in Dixon, this place is a treasure. They were able to correct my problem in a couple of days as oppose to three wasted weeks in Dixon. I got the bottom of my boat painted at eagle marine less than 8 months ago costing me about $1,210.00 dollars now the the paint on the bottom of my boat (that they had just painted less than 8 months ago) is now flaking off in large quantities. Needed a new trailer. Dealer and nearest competition quoted $2800.00 plus I had to pick it up out of town. Eagle: for the same price I bought an EZ Loader fully galvanized trailer with two roller and guide bunks. Add in the engine maintainance which included: tune/up, adjust valves, replace water pump and impeller, check and grease/lube cables and fittings, intake screen, sacrificial anode, fuel filter, compression test......plus more. I first utilized Eagle Marine when my boat trailer broke in 1/2 several years ago at the Martinez marina. Since they are located near the marina they picked up my boat and broken trailer with a forklift and brought it back to their shop. They did not gouge me on the price for a new trailer and they put my boat on the new trailer. I also have used for routine service, and recently used when I could not raise my power trim. Since the boat wasn't at their shop Rick gave me information on how to raise the power trim. Kudos to Eagle Marine! read more
