I noticed lots of folks renting that are "seasoned professionals" but also some newbs that hardly have a clue like me. I am so grateful the staff talked me through how to properly use the equipment. Since the new carpet was already installed and due the sheer weight of steel... he recommended a 3-part railing with a transition that included curved hand and shoe rails. He would have done on-site welding if the house was in construction/demoliton phase. He was patient, came to the house to measure, then again to confirm measurements. We had a few design changes that required him to come out again to re-measure. He was patient with us because in the end... those design changes made a huge difference both in fabrication and final fit & look. His pricing is fair. He does welding work for an artist with a SoCal shop. He does welding work on specialty tractors that Cal Fire uses to clear trees to make fire breaks. So he is busy because he is skilled and versatile. We are using him and his skills to make 2 more handrails for the hillside steps in our back yard! FYI welding is really oily/dirty work so we covered the carpet so David could do his work. He is naturally careful and the carpet was safe!
