I ordered the Jr. Seafood Platter, which came with a crab cluster, shrimp, sausage, an egg, and corn, all tossed in their spicy sauce. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spicy. I even bought extra sauce because it was that good! I'll definitely be grabbing another platter once I run out of this sauce. Highly recommend checking them out whenever the truck comes to your city!

I haven't found that BUT this is a traveling truck that stops in many cities. When I saw Charlotte on the schedule I was too exited! They came as promised and opened up pre ordering via text. It was simple to order this way and they made an adjustment for not wanting sausage to substitute for more shrimp. When I got there, there were a few people in line but I didn't have to wait. I didn't know how it worked but he just needed the last 4 of my phone # so that was different but not difficult. He texted me 3 mins later when my order was ready and I got it. Presentation was beautiful. It smelled great. Taste was unexpected. I'm a Maryland Blue Crab type of girl and living down south have ventured into the garlic butter sautéed crabs with seasoning. These have this special sauce so I wasn't expecting the taste but they were good! Finger licking good I might add! These shrimp were jumbo and the sauce compliments them well! These crabs were small but they said they are hard to come by this time around due to mating season. Again, it was a different experience but when I got home I added my Jo #2 & boom! That made them delicious! I look forward to trying them again especially when they are bigger. It was a tasty treat! Also the service was so kind. They were really nice and appreciated my first time trying them out. Blessings to you all!

I've taken that middle-of-the-state route between Charlotte and Myrtle Beach more times than I can…read morecount, and there are a few places along the way I've passed for years and always said, "one day I'll stop." This was finally that stop. It sits right off the road--easy access, but you do need to be paying attention because traffic moves quick through there. Miss it and you might be making a U-turn. Plenty of parking once you pull in, though, so no issues there. Walking in, the place has that charming, small-town, almost tucked-away feel. It's not big, not flashy--just a quaint, comfortable spot that feels like it's probably been serving locals for a long time. It has that family-run vibe (and after talking with the owner, it pretty much is). I was greeted right away--first by a gentleman at a table and then quickly by my server. Friendly, attentive, and on top of things from the start. During the week, the menu is a bit more limited. No buffet, no hamburger steak, no ribeye--that's all reserved for the weekend. So right now, think of it as a solid burger stop during the week. I'm currently doing keto, so I skipped the bun and sides and ordered a double burger with lettuce and condiments, eating it with a fork. Even without the bun, the burger held its own--very moist, well-cooked, and seasoned with a really flavorful blend that stood out. That's always the test... if a burger is good without the bread, it's a good burger. I'll definitely be back, and next time I'm hoping I'm off keto so I can try it as a full cheeseburger with the bun--because I can already tell that's where it's going to shine even more. I had an unsweet tea with it--fresh brewed, clean taste, exactly what you want on a stop like this. The owner came out and spent a few minutes talking, which I always appreciate. She was warm, welcoming, and mentioned they've owned the place for about a year now. She also made it clear--the weekend buffet is where things really take off. From what I saw online beforehand, I believe her. I was honestly wishing I had hit it on a Saturday or Sunday just to experience that side of it. One thing that really caught my attention--desserts. They had multiple homemade cake options, and from what I saw online, they carry what I grew up calling a 30-layer cake--properly known as Smith Island cake--along with strawberry cake and several others. It took some discipline to walk past those on keto, but they looked legit. Overall, this is exactly the kind of place I like finding--right on the roadside, quick in and out if you need it, but with enough quality and personality to make you want to stop again. Great burger, friendly people, and a strong reason to come back on the weekend to see the full menu in action.

Five stars without hesitation!…read more We were visiting the Southern Pines/Pinehurst area and wanted a local restaurant we could brag about when we got home. Full Moon Oyster Bar delivered. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The seafood was outstanding, and the atmosphere was fun, energetic, and welcoming. You can tell this is a place that locals love. The highlight of our evening was our server, Justin. He was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and made excellent recommendations. He/ and teamchecked on us just enough to make sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. Outstanding customer service. If you're anywhere near Southern Pines or Pinehurst, put Full Moon Oyster Bar on your list. We'll definitely be back, and we'll be asking for Justin again!

First and foremost: Lauren was absolutely phenomenal. She was a fantastic problem-solver and was…read morespot-on with her attention & service. The problem was that there were many matters that Lauren had to try to mitigate that brought our experience from a four star to a three star: My stuffed salmon was the last of ten meals served & it was so overcooked that the salmon resembled jerky. They offered to make another for me to take to-go, but that did nothing for me in the moment (I still had to navigate a burned meal & we all know that type of meal does not reheat well). Noodles & sauce that came with the dish were very good. The "succotash" was unremarkable. Two plates of King crab legs (an EXTREMELY expensive meal) came with no melted butter - my friends had to ask twice for butter - crab got cold before butter was ever served. Waitress (not Lauren) said full serving costs $120. For some reason, 1/2 serving consisted of two legs, full serving consisted of three legs? We were told a claw would be included as well with the full serving, but then "reassured" that a full serving was indeed received without the claw. Chicken teriyaki was good. Mussels with pasta was good. Apparently. it is "safe" to consume the living red worms that squiggle on the oysters on the half shell, but in all our years in other restaurants with oysters, we've never seen worms moving on our plates. Is that because other restaurants clean off the oysters in a different manner? Is it because other restaurants serve on ice? I honestly don't know, but do know I can't eat wriggling worms. I sincerely appreciate Lauren's attempt to alleviate our concerns. Apparently, there was/is a shortage of glasses, because refills of beer and alcohol came in different sized glasses with each round. One beer refill came in a small brandy-type glass with no explanation. Again, a solution was offered well after the fact, but honestly should not have been necessary. This is not a fault of the waitstaff. The potatoes & slaw that are served with each meal were brought before our drinks were ever served - are they intended to be treated like appetizers? (Just a note: Active Duty military & Federal employees have been advised not to consume poppy seeds - it's ridiculous - but half of our table couldn't eat the slaw (which was unfortunate because the slaw was very good - one of my favorite recipes). Fried dishes were over cooked - extremely dark & tough. Do not forgot to ask what "Market price" is - it may be well over $100 per serving. By the way: their Carolina Colada is now my favorite drink! Delicious!! Look at the back of the menu for the day's drink special.
