They did a great job getting our front and back yards into shape. We had several overgrown trees and bushes that needed to be removed, as well as weeds, vines, and other areas of the yard that needed improvement. They planted privacy trees, and spread pine straw and mulch, improving the appearance of our front and back yards significantly. The price for the work was fair and changes to the cost estimate were clearly communicated and agreed upon before work began. Tanner was easy to work with, communicated well throughout the process, and he and his crew completed the work quickly while still maintaining good quality. I would recommend them. read more

We had them install brand new sod in the back and front yard, create a new fire pit area, add a walkway and slate chip pathway for our golf cart and they created an island with new plantings. They did a wonderful job, were reasonably priced and very communicative! We added a little bit of extra work towards the end and they took it on with no issue. I greatly appreciate them coming back a few weeks later to take care of another item at no cost and they did it without me calling them! I would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

I feel the need to warn anyone against hiring Tanner Mooney with Well-Planted. The extent to which he tried to and did rip me off is above and beyond. I hired him, on a recommendation, for a number of landscaping tasks: 1. I hired him to fill brand new gardening beds with 6.5 cubic yards of "organic gardening soil". I imagine he expected I wouldn't be home when he did the work. He filled them with compacted clay and then topped it off with a few inches of dirt mixed with wood chips. On top of that, he damaged my brand new ($800) gardening beds, which I had to replace. When I told him I didn't want the clay and wood chips, he wanted to charge me for removal (my husband did it himself). 2. I hired him to install an irrigation system for my garden beds. He buried an old hose from our house spigot to my garden beds and connected the drip tubes. However, he buried the drip tubes under the dirt, which seemed odd since drip systems should be laid on the surface of the soil. It turns out the drip system did not extend far enough to water the whole garden bed (hence the reason he tried to hide it). Further, he said the irrigation system would include a timer; it did not. I ended up buying a timer and my own irrigation system and connecting it to the hose he had buried. However, it turned out the hose had multiple leaks in it, and it flooded my back yard. I had to pull the hose up from underground. This is when I found that he had patched multiple large gashes in the hose with electrical tape, which means these leaks existed before he installed it, and he tried to find the cheapest, easiest solution that would last just long enough for him to get paid. 3. I hired him to install mulch in my front and back yard. I asked for natural mulch, but he said that could only be obtained by the truck load (~20 cubic yards), so I would have to buy the more expensive cypress mulch. Then he proceeded to charge me for 18.5 cubic yards. It's my fault for not paying more attention. There is no way he provided 18.5 cubic yards of mulch. 4. I hired him to install a French drain to address drainage issues in my front AND back yard. He only installed the French drain in the front yard. I tried to cough that up to a misunderstanding before I realized all the other ways he swindled me. I waited a long time to write this. I wanted to calm down, reflect on the facts, and make sure my interpretation of what happen is not merely based on anger. I don't think there is any way to describe what he did other than try to swindle me in any way possible. read more

Very pleased. We had our entire front lawn sodded with Palisades Zoysia by Tanner and his hard-working crew. Everything has gone according to plan and we could not be happier with the results. Tanner has been a good communicator, the prices were the best of the several vendors I priced and he was proactive in recommending a few other landscape chores that might need attention, without being pushy. Would recommend to friends and family for sure. read more

this is just a continuance of my previous post. i am realizing new issues everyday!!! basically he had 5 truck loads of fill dirt and just spread that dirt on my existing ground, he left bare roots from 19 pine trees we had just cut down, james tanner mooney installed the sod directly on top of the roots and all the existing grass and weeds that were already growing when he started the job. so of course all the weeds and grass that he just covered up with fill dirt are already growing thru the 1" gaps in the squares of sod, they should be butted as close to each other as possible (not in my yard). he changed the entire lay of my land in my front yard. i am so angry when i think about how screwed i got. the biggest kicker of all!!!!!!!! i paid $22k for the entire job, i paid $13k for emerald zoysia and i got meyers zoysia!!!!!! i am beyond pissed off, now i have to pay another reputable company to come in rip out well planted llc's low grade ugly sod. they will grade and prepare my yard properly for sod installation. look at the pics of my flower bed, i paid $895 for these pavers and he does not even complete the ends, i planted the flowers in the bed myself in the pics, i also put the fabric down myself, look how far away from the fabric that he put the pavers 6" to 7" wth!!!!!!!!!! i need to say this man has ripped out part of my soul, this job is so awful, i don't know how anyone can take advantage of someone and sleep at night. he absolutely took advantage of us. he was not supposed to start my job until the first week of april, out of the blue i am being prepped for neck surgery and my husband notices on the camera, 5 dump truck loads of dirt being delivered. i had neck surgery on 3/15/2022, my daughter gave birth to a 3 lb. baby on 3/12/2022 and my mother-in-law 84 years old was diagnosed with terminal cancer, we laid her to rest 4/9/2022. tanner starts my job on 3/21/2022 without even consulting with me. so i have all this going on, this man has the audacity to just screw me out of $22k, guess what friends and neighbors?!!!!!!! i don't think so !!!!!!!! read more
