Jennifer and the whole team at Wellborn are some of the best around! My husband and I started looking into having a home birth when we found out we were pregnant with our first child. We knew a few people that had had home births, but it still seemed kind of scary (especially for first timers), yet everything about the homebirth option intrigued us. We had LOTS of questions and my husband and I brought them all to our first consultation with Jennifer. She was very gracious to hear all of our questions. We appreciated her confidence and honesty in all her answers. She didn't sugarcoat things, yet she had a great since of humor. By the time we left, my husband and I both knew that homebirth was what we wanted to do and Jennifer was who we wanted to have by our side. Fast forward 9 months....through all the prenatal checks, Jennifer and her team were always very thorough and willing to answer our continuing lists of questions. I had a rather long labor (spanned over 3 days) and Jennifer had the confidence and encouragement we needed to get us through to the end. She also had the wisdom to know what to do to help my labor progress as it needed to. Even after the birth, the midwives are just getting started! They make sure you, baby, and your partner are well taken care of and cleaned up. They clean up EVERYTHING, like no one was ever there. They even did laundry and dishes for us! Their hard work made our immediate postpartum experience so peaceful. I had always thought that midwives were only there for the birth. But that's the farthest thing from the truth. They are there all throughout the pregnancy, labor, birth, and another 6 wks postpartum. I believe Jennifer and her team's goal is to make sure that each momma and partner are cared for, and given all the needed information to make logical and informed decisions concerning their baby. And she is there to support you in those decisions. My husband and I are so thankful for Jennifer's help, support and laughter through this whole experience! We delivered our second born at home with Jennifer​​ and her amazing Wellborn assistants. My baby became breech last minute and Jennifer was able to point me to the right people and techniques to successfully flip her. She also never made me feel less of a mom for being plus size/having a high bmi. We loved her humor and energy. As well as her natural and healthy approaches to monitoring my pregnancy (especially with the glucose test). This was my second home birth, but with a different labor. I have never felt more pampered and supported. I had hands to hold, heard encouraging words and had amazing guidance. Jennifer was very clear with me on what I needed to do to bring my 9lb baby girl out safely, but spoke in a calm and positive manner. She was very comforting, as well as educated. I trusted her completely and felt like I was in the best hands. Her patience was outstanding and I was very fortunate to have had her at my birth. I know that If I hadnt have had a home birth, with her knowledge and experience. I would have had many unnecessary interventions. She made sure she was respectful of my birth plan as well as adapting when things changed. She was good at explaining why and how we were going to help me through tough contractions and plateaus in my labor. I had trouble progressing and the girls had so many amazing techniques to get me through those hurdles. Everyone at wellborn trusted me in my labor, and helped give me the birth my baby and I needed. Safe and sound and very comfortable. My husband laughs because he says he couldnt believe how not only did they help through every step in a 9 hour labor, but how fast they cleaned the place up! There was a birth tub and all the other wonderful birth messes haha and the next thing he knew it was like we never even had a baby at home! They even had our bed made! Her assistants Kirsten​​ and Makayla​​ were so kind, and so knowledgeable, I'm very happy they were there with me that day. What an amazing birth team! We had some reservations about doing a home birth, but Amy talked us through everything carefully, and we felt very comfortable with the whole process. Looking back, it was WAY better than what I imagine going to a hospital would have been like. Our first son was born in the car, and it was such a blessing to have the midwife come right to us and meet us back at our house, help us with the whole process, and go with us to the hospital for my wife to get healed up. So even in rough situations, this is a great option. Both Amy and Jennifer were excellent at answering my multitude of questions and working with us. I never felt pressured about any decisions; they gave good information and let us choose. We've gone to Amy for all three of our children's births so far, and it's very easy to see that she really cares about us as people. We also felt blessed because our midwives follow the Lord Jesus as we do, so we knew they would be honest, honor the legal regulations, and still give us a lot of flexibility and control. It was a tremendous experience, and I highly recommend this practice. read more

Jennifer (the midwife at this practice) is such an incredible care provider and lactation consultant, and overall just a great human. We are SO grateful to have had her support for our first pregnancy, home birth and post partum experience. The care and attention she gives to her clients is unmatched. As a first time mom, grade A planner/worrywart AND choosing a home birth for my first child, you could expect that I'd have 7,000 questions at every prenatal appointment. Jennifer answered every question I had (big or small), put my new mama heart at ease copious times, and she never once dismissed my concerns or rushed me during an appointment. I have always felt seen and heard as a client of Jennifer's, and plan to have all of my babies with Wellborn in the future! I have received excellent care through both of my pregnancies and deliveries from Amy. I love that she gives you information, so that YOU can make the best choice for your family, instead of just pushing her opinions on you. I respect so much that she strives to be completely compliant with legal standards while also working graciously with her clients. I love that she was flexible and caring throughout my pregnancies as I had questions, concerns, etc. She was always "on call." I love that I didn't have to wait and wait for my appointments. She always saw me at the scheduled appointment time. I love her spirit--warm, kind, comforting, soothing, gracious. We had our first baby with Wellborn and we will definitely be having our future babies with them too! A home birth seemed daunting until we spoke with Amy and Jennifer. They create a welcoming and calming atmosphere in which anything can be talked about. Our free consultation was over an hour and a half long, and all of our many questions were answered with professionalism and understanding. It feels like Amy, Jennifer and Karla genuinely care about you and your baby, which I know is absolutely not the case with most doctors. Throughout the pregnancy and birth, Amy and Jennifer were very accessible and incredibly easy to talk to. We felt that we got the highest level of care either my husband or I had ever received. Jennifer was my midwife for my fourth baby and is by far the best midwife that I have had. She is so very knowledgeable about prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care. Even though this is the 4th baby that I have had, I learned some new, helpful things from Jennifer. Postpartum, I have felt the best that I ever have after a delivery and the weeks following. She helps you learn to care for yourself and your family too. This was my first water birth and it went very well. The birth was very peaceful and again, the best one I've had. The only regret I have is that I did not find Jennifer sooner! I highly recommend her and her team! I will miss visiting her for my appointments. Jennifer Stewart has delivered both of our babies, and has done a wonderful job! We had complications with a hemorrhage with our first, and she was well equipped to handle it calmly and had it stopped and in control before our transport to the hospital for an IV. Our second birth was beautiful and perfect, and we felt so blessed to have her calm presence there as well! It is so nice to actually look forward to prenatal and postpartum visits and to know she cares about our family and takes all our questions and concerns seriously. My husband and I just had a baby about a month and a half ago with Jennifer, and we absolutely loved having our homebirth with her! Jennifer has such a sweet heart, and she is very knowledgeable about her practice. We felt completely safe in her care and comforted by her presence. When we first found out we were expecting, I wasn't 100% sure about a homebirth for my first birth. However, after our first consultation with Jennifer we felt very comfortable, and are so glad we decided to go with her and Wellborn! From the start we felt heard and cared for. The only downside is after your six week postpartum appointment you don't get a scheduled time once a month to hang out with them lol.
