They had one good vet and one bad one that I saw. They misdiagnosed my dog and one of my cats. They traumatized my cat to the point where they wouldn't see him unless he was under anesthesia. He had been going to the vet fine at our last vet who retired. They obviously didn't actually examine him and only took his blood work or they would have found out his heart was bad and he died a month later. read more

The Vet and Tech here were friendly as well as the front office gal Caitlyn. However, the Office Manager was unprofessional and rude. When questioned about an unreasonable charge, he had the audacity to treat me in a rude manner and blamed me for not willing to spend money on my dog and acted very bizarre. The Office Manager was also the Nutritionist at the time. Yet I wondered if my dog was his first client as I pointed out an error in the information he gave me. He also never replied to several emails I sent with follow up questions regarding the nutritional information he provided. In the end, I was not comfortable with the nutritional information given by him as I found him lacking knowledge in this area. read more

STOP DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!!!! I am a nurse and know and care what I give my dog. I am on their plan and have been for a year and they refuse to let me off. I am at the end of my contract with them They have not been abiding to their contract. Only gave 3 months of flea and tick meds and told me it was a quottro and when I found out it was not and I was given the wrong information they went in and fixed their records as if they had been giving my dog the correct dosage and I know they are lying again because that doesn't add up either. And this could be fatal to dogs not to get dewormed for over 6 months. I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT MY DOG IS PART OF MY FAMILY!!!!! And they still will not let me off their plan. So I'm suggesting for people to stay away from this business they are very not trust worthy. Go find a good vet to take your animal to THIS PLACE IS NEGLIGENT!!! read more

I took my cat here over a year ago due to a lump on her head. They took a sample, ran the tests and it was determined my sweet kitty has mastcell (cancer). They suggested removal and made it sound like if it is not removed immediately she will die relatively quickly, and due to the placement of her growth in order to achieve margins they said they would have to remove part if not all of her right ear. None of this I have a problem with. My problem is that this was advertised as my only option. My kitty is no spring chicken, she's an old lady now. I want to keep as much normalcy in her life as possible. I ended up taking her to a different vet and they put her on a very small dose of steroids weekly to stop the tumor from growing anymore than it has. All of her symptoms have stopped almost entirely, she's thriving and plays everyday! From a what would have been $1000's in surgery is now $64 every 2-3 months. read more

The doctor was very nice and was able to get me exactly what I needed and walk me through how to dose my dog correctly. She also had other natural options she recommended. Dr Thomas and the staff here are amazing. I had an em situation a few weeks ago where my dog got a nose bleed that was horrendous and very scary. They took us right in and attended to my boy right away. this Is just one example of one of my appointments. I volunteer for a local dog rescue and we have used Dr. Thomas as our go to for years. My dog has an unusual issue that we haven't completely figured out. Dr. Thomas and his staff and been exceptional in helping navigate this. They are just all around great folks. read more

Called 3x with a serious issue 5 mins apart each time on a weekday morning. Left a lengthy voicemail indicating a probably urgent need, but not emergent. No call back 8 hours later. I call, takes 3 times around to get a rep this time, they just say, go ahead and schedule a visit, minimal options, ignoring the fact I tried to call earlier. They offer about 3 appt times, I have to call back because of the seriously limited options, so I ask how late they will answer phones. They state till 6 pm for making appts. well at 5:05 no one is around except for the emergency help line. I'm moving to a new vet. Love dr. Graham but we need more responsible office workers for our pets' care. read more

Where do I begin? The people on the phone tell you one thing, the people there say another. They don't even wear masks... are they really medical professionals? I can't imagine how bad they treat animals when they have no respect for the humans they deal with. I couldn't wait to get my cat out of there and home. She didn't want to go in the first place and I should've listened to her.... the last visit was horrible. This visit we were 15 minutes late and were actually refused service after traveling for over an hour. **Warning: Do NOT take your pet here** My dog Toby had been going to this office for a few years now. In the beginning, things seemed great - over the course of time, things continually went downhill, especially from a service perspective. If I called I either would get no answer and no callback, or when they would answer, they would sound irritated. Over the last 6 months, almost every appointment I made would get rescheduled or cancelled. As a result of this, he became a couple of months behind on his required vaccinations. This ultimately led us to transfer vet care. Fast forward to today, we took him to his new vet. I brought up that Toby has had itchy/sensitive ears for awhile, and that I had inquired on multiple visits with Well Haven about potential allergen and or infection issues. Each time these concerns were shrugged off and I was told his ears were "normal for him". Well, come to find out, he's had a double ear infection for quite some time with both yeast and rods. He should have had an ear culture brought up as an option long long ago, but it was never presented to us. I also now feel terrible that my dog has obviously been struggling with this for a very long time. Part of this is on me as a pet owner and not getting a second opinion sooner, but frankly, I thought I could trust the expertise of the techs and doctors here. Clearly, I was wrong. Now, we are spending hundreds of dollars to treat Toby's ears (which are now permanently affected by this) due to the lack of thoroughness at Well Haven Mill Plain. These folks hooked us up today. Our little bulldog was showing signs of an infection and no one else could see us for several days. WellHaven put us on their cancellation list for that day's appointments and a few minutes later, we were lucky enough to have an appointment that morning. Not only did they fit us in graciously, but they were right on time for the appointment, allowed masked owners into the facility, and took great care of my dog. She was thorough in her explanation of his health issues as was the tech who came out to our car to explain the recommendations for care. I finally took my dog to the doggie dentist. She really needed it, my sweet baby is a(we think) 13 years old Lhasa rescue. It was expensive but it could have been a lot worse since they didn't charge me for 3 extra extractions! When I took her in I told them I'm about to be furloughed and I need to keep the cost as low as possible. They did, they were also professional and welcoming while keeping social distancing. WellHaven has been a Game-Changer for me and my 2 year old rescue Mocha. Within 2 weeks of rescue, the separation anxiety was becoming debilitating for Mocha and it was apparent I needed to make sure he had somewhere to go while I worked during the day....Enter, WellHaven's doggie day camp on Mill Plain. I was recommended this W.H. by several people and animal organizations in the area and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles from all staff and I knew I found Mocha's day home-away-from-home. My little guy was nervous and shy on our first trip, tail tucked between his legs but when I picked him up, his tail was wagging and he had a confidence and calm that I had not seen.. Upon pick-up, I receive a report card that tells me how the day went (so cute!) and the staff spends time giving me tips and recommendations and updates on how Mocha integrated/played with other dogs. My pup now runs to my car while at home, hoping to go back to WellHaven. I can't thank the staff and this vetrinarian office that offers day-camp while I work (I use WH as my vet, which makes the services convenient because they can give treatments/shots while he's at camp). I know Mocha is having a blast and I no longer feel guilty for leaving him at home if my work-day is longer than expected. It's a Win-Win! Can't recommend this place enough! read more

May be fine for regular service, but not good for after-hours emergencies. When Googling for an emergency vet in Vancouver, WA, WellHaven shows up near the top of the search findings. Their search engine optimization is working. Trouble is, they do not offer after-hours emergency service, and the person who answers the phone spends a lot of time asking questions about the emergency, only to refer you to some other clinic. The person who spoke to me did not seem to have local knowledge and is probably part of a third-party service answering the phones for vets in many cities. Find a vet service that is actually open after hours. Do not waste your injured pet's precious time calling WellHaven. read more

Colette was the second cat I took to this vet and they took such great care of her. I got her from the humane society and after running some in-depth blood tests, I found out she had kidney failure. 3 1/2 months later, I found out she had lung cancer. She was an older cat so, of course, there would be some issues, but this (especially the cancer) was a shock. The Well Haven staff did an amazing job explaining everything to me (sometimes twice) and showing me how to give my cat the saline injections because of the kidney failure. When they confirmed the cancer discovered by an urgent care vet over Christmas weekend, they were most empathetic. I honestly feel like they really cared for my cat. They were sweet to her and very nice to me. I eventually had to put her down a week after New Year's and they were there. Dr Graham is a very sweet lady and I know Colette liked her because she relaxed whenever Dr Graham handled her. All of the other staff were very kind as well and I appreciate their empathy, professionalism, and veterinary care. A little over a week ago I got a card in the mail from the Well Haven staff sending sympathy for my loss. I was surprised and very thankful for the sentiment! Who does that? It brought tears to my eyes. This vet clinic isn't inexpensive, but I do not feel I was gouged either. I purchased the Care Plan and I'm so glad I did because when I found out she had medical issues and when she started declining, I ended up needing to take her to the vet more often and with the Care Plan, I didn't need to pay for the mandatory exam each time I took her in. When I get another pet, I plan to use Well Haven as my vet clinic again. They truly do a great job. read more

Took our new adopted dog here to get her last few shots needed after her stint at the Humane Society. The appointment was a few weeks out but they honored the free exam we got as part of the adoption package. Making the appointment was really easy and everyone was really nice. We're still figuring out some personality things for our dog, shes 5 years old already, so we werent sure how the visit would go. She was super well behaved though and they were very gentle and showered her with praise and peanut butter. Dr Graham was great with our dog and you can tell she really cares about the animals she sees. read more

If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. DON'T BUY THE WELLCARE PLAN! IT IS A SCAM! They will tell you in the office that it's month to month and you can cancel at any time. However it is a 12 month contract and you may the entire year of the fee no matter when you cancel. I hope the loss of Vet care for the next 13 years of my dog's life was worth $123. Greed is a bad look for a Vet practice. read more

Vet is good when they are there. Morning appointments are dodgy at best. Vet arrives late to appointments by at least 30 minutes or more. Vet techs don't seem to care to notify clients of late arrival time of the vet. Super unprofessional and disrespectful to clients and their pets. read more
