First off, I rarely post reviews, but people need to know about this one. My Nissan Juke broke down…read morein Evanston Wyoming and this shop had the best reviews so I had it towed there. The receptionist lady told me that the entire engine needed to be replaced and that I could either pay them $10,000 for them to fix it, or just scrap the car and get something new. I spoke to Chad, the automotive technician and he told me he ran a compression test to confirm and that my car was only giving 30 pounds instead of the expected 160 pounds, and confirmed that it did indeed need a full new engine. He said I was looking at several months for them to be able to order the parts and the engine, wait for shipping, and complete the installation. I still owed $10,000 on my car since I was financing it and I had only driven it 22,000 miles in my entire 4 year ownership of it, so it was hard for me to believe that it needed a full new engine. I gave them my auto warranty company information and Chad told me he would reach out to them on Friday, but when I spoke to the receptionist lady on Tuesday for an update, she got super defensive and told me that she has a hard time believing that Chad told me he would contact my warrantee company because he doesn't submit claims to warranty companies. She said she needed to order all of the parts brand new so that they would be covered by their own warranty. Something felt very off so I called AAA, and I had my car towed to Auto Pro in Utah. The mechanic there was able to fix my car same day and it only really needed new spark plugs. I sold my car to Carvana the very next day, and they said there were no mechanical issues at all when they did their full inspection. Chad's Automotive was clearly trying to take advantage of me (maybe because they're in Evanston and don't get a lot of business, or maybe I'm a woman and don't know much about cars?). Just sharing my experience, proceed with caution and make sure you get a second opinion. If you have AAA premium, they will tow your car for free to someone more reliable.

Well, long story short, the thermostat was wonking out and we wanted to have it looked at. Chad was backed up for a week but said he'd take a quick look at it. Well he fiddled with some hoses and switches, answered all of our questions, told us to track the engine oil and assessed that we were probably good to go. He gave us a grin and said "I'd go for it". So, 15 minutes later we are rolling down the road with our fingers crossed and incredibly grateful to Chad for taking some time out of his busy schedule to help out a few dudes...Seriously, it's all about the humanity man. Update from 1,000 miles later: the truck is running great and we have not had any more troubles with the thermostat. Also it appears that Chad secretly fixed the heater and seatbelt alarm. This truck is running like a youngster again!

I have been stuck here for 3 weeks waiting and getting the run around from another garage. A local here at a diner told me about Red Mountain Automotive so I went and talked to them. They had me a transmission picked up in Salt Lake City and installed in my vehicle the next day. Plus those guys were willing to work a Saturday during a holiday weekend if needed to get me back on the road. Thankfully everything went smoothly and they got me done that day. My advice is always try to talk to some locals and get a line on a good garage in these situations. I only wish I would have taken my on advice. Lesson learned. I would give this Maverik zero stars but that's not an available option. I have stopped at this…read morelocation many times when driving thru Evanston, but I will never stop here again. Besides being small, not enough gas pumps, not enough restroom stalls, and always out of hand soap and/ or paper towels... they recently sunk to an all time low. They placed a giant advertising sign out in the middle of the yellow striped area of the parking lot that is for wheelchair loading and unloading. Also for ALL customers to have a clutter free entrance and exit to the store. When my hubby moved the sign onto the sidewalk up next to the building. The night manager ran out and tried to put it back!! Hubby said "that's against the law. You can't put anything there." Red haired manager - "Corporate told us to put it there!" Every other Maverik I've been to lately has the same sign. But always up against the building near the chopped fire wood or the bagged ice freezer. This is the only store who thought corporate told them to violate ADA laws, then had the nerve to yell at a customer trying to help them be more compliant with laws. Having this walkway clear provides easy access to their building for EVERY customer. I mean who wants to trip over a giant sign trying to get in or out the front door? Want something better to do with your time than running out and trying to put giant signs back into spots where it's against the law? Try wiping down your sticky counters. Try mopping your sticky floors. Hand soap in the restrooms would be nice too!

I called every towing and repair shop in Evanston and nobody could help me out that night but Bozz got back to me and arranged to pick me up in the morning. Unfortunately, their shop Was booked up and couldn't get me in but they did get me over to the pilot repair shop who did get me in (but that's another 5star review!) so..first, great communication, they called me, texted me with ETA, I communicated with the driver directly so he knew what he was getting into without info getting lost in the shuffle ( I dig that). Second, Eli the driver rolled up and was super cool. Of course nothing goes perfectly like it does on Cascade Heavy Rescue (shout out Casey! We both hate you!!) but Eli, had skills and tools and I learned new stuff and I HELPED (...I think??) anyhow we jumper in the truck which had 7 million miles on it. Eli asked what music I like. I said country and western like a good American then the most country truckin song ever blasted out of the speakers. We talked about politics and religion and how Wyoming sucks to drive across until you find these amazingly beautiful pockets that make it all (most) worth it. And of course how frikin awesome pro Demo Derby is. Anyhow. ELI...AWESOME!!!!, BOZZ TOWING...AWSOME!!!! CHEVRON somewhere near Keemer with the empanadas ALSO AWESOME!
