I've been coming here since I was a kid, and now that I have my own family, I bring them here too! (Just because it's cheaper at other places doesn't mean it's better.) I've had some frustrating experiences with urgent care centers that don't seem to care about your well-being beyond the money you pay them at the front desk as well as attitude from the front desk... I had issues with the pharmacy today, and they called them THREE times just to make sure everything was sent over correctly. Ultimately, it was on the pharmacy's end, but as soon as I mentioned my issues, they took immediate action. Front desk is always courteous in person and otp. I would HIGHLY recommend! read more

i brought my wife to the SW Urgent Care at 2030 Blanchard. the provider had staff tell my wife they don't want me in the exam room and made me wait in the waiting room. my wife wanted me with her so I could hear everything and ask questions. Some people want their loved one with them when they don't feel well. This is very off putting and, frankly, concerning. what don't they want me to see or hear? read more

Horrible system. They never sent prescription to Walgreens. My symptoms went so worst without meds that I couldn't even walk or drive. Someone got me off the counter meds and managed to survive literally. Walgreens said they never received any prescription from southwest Urgent care and it may be updated in an hour. But nothing. Now they told me that it will be updated within a day or two. What's the point of urgent care if you can't get even get prescription even after paying $195 out of pocket. I'm definitely taking this complaint to higher level. read more

I've never been to an Urgent Care where the wait time was less than 10 minutes and the staff was actually friendly! Even if you live on the Far East side, I would recommend coming here. The front desk staff was very friendly as was the nurse. They give plenty of information on how you can get more inexpensive Rx prices which shows they care about the patients and that they want repeat clients. My fiancée had a severe sinus cold/flu and was seen by Nurse Practitioner Justine. She was awesome and heard all of our symptoms. She made us feel sound of mind. We really recommend the Nurse Practitioner Justine. She accurately diagnosed an ear infection, a tooth problem (and gave us information about people with no insurance). Justine was very helpful already starting to feel better. I can't speak highly enough about this facility and Justine. I would highly recommend them to my family or friends. I am completely disappointed with my first visit to this clinic. My vital signs like temperature, blood pressure, and glucose levels were not checked. I was never told what I had and the injection I was given. Still feeling lousy, I went to my usual clinic, they performed a thorough exam and found that I had COVID! After the X-rays that showed that my lungs looked good, they quieted me down and gave me the medication for COVID and my cough. I fail to see why, given the terrible service I received, this clinic is open. A long time ago, Dr. Nasoor and his nurse did a much better job. read more

Not only she take a personal interest, asked direct questions, and provided a prescription that worked with in hours. MPAS Hawkes Cody and staff were good. They attended to our needs and in a prompt manner. Only urgent care facility we could find that gave IV if one is needed. What we really enjoyed was the fact the room they had us in had a TV with cable TV and you can change the channel. Its a very nice touch. read more

They are stuck in the dark ages. Sign says to take picture of medical card and email. This is what I did, they won't except. Per their own policy. They want a physical card. Then The girl at the front desk wants to be condescending. Also the building looks like you're in a Third World country! So it was probably a good thing that they didn't serve me,so I don't get a staff infection. read more

I walked into this place about to pass out from severe dehydration. That whole day I had been puking from food poisoning. As I approach the counter, the pissed off looking female asks in a very aggravated tone "how can I help you." I tell her my story and that I'm from out of town and that I use Tricare. She said thy don't take my insurance. Which I understand, I can't blame them from not doing business with an insurance company that nickels and dimes everyone. But to take that attitude out on me? Hell no. Then, when I asked if she knew any other Urgent care places that would take my insurance she said "you can try other places, but we don't take it" in yet another pissed off tone. It just really sucks that the wrong people get into healthcare. People who really don't care about others don't belong in places that are all about caring for others. I went here last week for a severe rash I had. The service was outstanding, very friendly staff. The Dr that was working that day was very professional and helpful. Amazing, Quick Service and Understanding Staff! I came in for a severe bladder infection and was in and out in about 25 minutes with my prescription and great advice. They even had to call my insurance (because every time I use my insurance the provider has to call) and didn't waste time getting me in and out! This is a great facility. I have total confidence in Dr. Ibarra. I felt better quickly and was able to go about my day feeling remarkably better. My only regret was not going in sooner, I could've felt better sooner! The check in process seemed to take a bit longer than I would've liked, but that's probably because I felt so sick, seconds felt like minutes. (There's another window next to the main check in window, in front of the additional seating area, that would make a great second check-in area). Bottom line, if you need to see a doctor and don't have time to wait forever in the ER, I highly recommend this urgent care center. read more

Wow!!! I literally walked in and was seated in an exam room within 20 minutes and that's including the fact that I had to transfer money from one account to another (you see, the way my bank is set up... well I'll tell all y'all about USAA on their Yelp! Page)! A lot of reviewers give negative feedback because the employees don't step out of their scope of responsibilities, well I'm here to tell you that although it would've nice for the receptionist to have purchased my "Texas Roadhouse" gift card so I could pay for my visit it was not her responsibility and I will not hold that against her! She was very lovely and attentive to my plight! Up next was the medical assistant who was no only super helpful she laughed at my corny jokes making me feel better (after Tami-flu and azithromycin laughter is the best medication)! Finally was the PA who was cordial and didn't mock me for seeking urgent medical attention after feeling under the weather! Her arm was broken and thanks to the attentive care and proper wrapping of the arm, when we took her to Orthopedic she didn't Ned surgery or further adjusting!!! Only one word to describe this place: shady! My wife had a small hernia pop out at the gym and we went to get it popped back in. We get with the doctor after paying the $50 copay to be told "you need a doctor to look at that". I asked him why did we pay $50 (and probably a large charge to our insurance company) and his response was "you didn't have to come here". If you are looking for an overweight "doctor" and a shady care center that allows patients in when there is nothing they can do (and they know it up front before they are allowed to see the doctor), this is the place for you. This business practice should not be tolerated. I've alerting my insurance company of this practice and if they do it to you I would recommend you do the same. read more

I was referred to this place after my son couldn't get an appt to see his regular pediatrician. It's located near UTEP but has ample parking. Once I filled out a quick form, I only had to wait a couple of minutes before we were seen. The Dr. there is fantastic and took his time with my son. Great place if you're sick and can't get an appointment with your regular doctor. The staff is all very friendly and quick about getting you to your room and on your way. I came in about 1pm on a Monday around the holidays and expected the place to be packed and slow... But it was the opposite! I was on my way in about 30 minutes. I love Dr. Ibarra, but I saw a PA this time and he was great too. Hopefully I don't have to come back, but if I do, I know I'll get the care I need in a timely and friendly manner. read more

If your a Aetna insurance policy holder DONT GO HERE!!!. They wont work with you to resolve any issues in with your claim. Spent hours on the phone to resolve a problem that was made aware to them. Their billing department not willing to help. You tell them the situation about the billing and they lesson but don't seem to comprehend. Beware you might have to pay out of pocket. read more

After a car accident, I visited this urgent care facility by the recommendation of staff at the Children's Hospital. I arrived in the evening close to 8 PM, and was the only patient at the time. The staff was efficient, professional, and comprehensive. They work together as a team very well, and have a comb and organized culture. The x-ray technician was friendly and showed me the scans as they were developed. The doctor listened attentively, asked good questions and provided useful insights and recommendations. He did not seem anxious to leave the room as I've experienced in the past with other urgent care facilities. Messed up billing for my roommate when she had insurance, charged over 400 for initial visit and required her to make an appointment for test results and pay again. The results were a false, as confirmed by a second test at another lab. and all told it was 700 for false information. They extort people for more money or you won't receive the results of a test you already paid for. They put in less than 15 minutes of work. Shame on you SW urgent care. You would be better off going to Juarez. read more

My husband and I came here for some abdominal pain I was having. My experience with other urgent cares has always been mediocre. We were so surprised on how fast and thorough the staff and doctor was. We were in and out within one hour. My visit included vitals, a long discussion with the doctor about my symptoms and some blood work. They also scheduled me a CT scan. I am very satisfied with my care. I will definitely return if I have any other problems in the future. read more

We've been going to this clinic for years with good results. On our last visit, the person at the front desk told us our visit was covered by our insurance and that we needed to pay the co-pay. Sometime later we received a bill in the mail stating our insurance didn't cover the services. We visited and wrote the clinic telling them we would pay the difference between the co-pay and the walk in rate (non-insurance) for the services we received. They refused to accept that and have now turned us over to collectors! It was not our fault that they did not do their job properly when admitting us and it should be our responsibility to pay the difference between the co-pay collected and their walk in rate for the services we received - not the inflated rate they submit to insurance companies! read more

This clinic is unbelievable. They said my insurance was inactive, so I called and it wasn't. I don't know what their policy is or what's wrong with their system, but every other clinic has the ability to call an verify things like that. I drove all the way to Lower Valley Urgent Care on Redd where the competent people who work there took great care of me, quickly before closing. Don't risk being sick and having to deal with their errors, just go to another clinic. read more

I was in last week to be seen for burns, I ran out of the prescription and they won't call in the refill to be filled in advance, I have to be seen again and pay 50$ just to get prescription! Never going back there again! Staff is also rude! I'm sure Dr. Ibarra is not aware of this type of treatment to his patients. read more
