I almost passed on this business due to reviews on here, however, I'm very glad that I did not. We booked Wellness Spa after another spa kept canceling our couples massage I had booked for my husbands birthday. Reception was very nice upon scheduling even though we have very busy schedules. I did mention I had a Groupon, which I received no issues using. I did take notice to the comments on other reviews regarding covid charges/services and fine print regarding one time Groupon use. I took it upon myself to read the fine print, and, it was mentioned on the recording when I called. The receptionist did mention the sanitation costs and told me I would need to leave a card but no deposit was required. I did not see a charge held upon booking as other reviewers mentioned. Upon entering, the facility was clean and welcoming. We were welcomed by Cristina who was super nice. We were offered additional services which we chose to add the peppermint scalp massage. The massage itself was great. Both ladies (Charlott and Cristina) were very nice and attentive. I had purchased a groupon for a 60min massage last Christmas and never got to use due to COVID. But finally after a long time of feeling comfortable going to get a massage, I made an appointment and they did not disappoint. From the check in process to the massage, the whole experience was great. Angela was amazing- gave me a great deep tissue massage. My shoulder were the source of all my discomfort and Angela worked wonders. The vibe of the place is also very nice and zen. VERY RUDE STAFF, Hidden Fees, Ok Massage, Misleading Groupon I received a Groupon to this spa for couples massages for Christmas. I finally called to make an appointment I was greeted with a lengthy recorded message stating that Groupons are for NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY, which is not made clear on the Groupon website. I didn't think I had been there, but I guess I had been, 2 years ago, so I was not allowed to use this Christmas gift. The person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude and unprofessional about the whole experience. She told me I had to contact the person who bought it for me so that they could get a refund through Groupon because I was absolutely not allowed to use the Groupon and it was clearly stated in the fine print. The wording on Groupon just says "Limit 1 per person, may buy 1 additional as gift(s)," which is incredibly unclear. Also when I go back into my past Groupons and click on the one I bought two years ago it said "You can purchase this deal 1 more time," which is obviously not true After looking at the photos of this establishment I can remember a little bit about the experience I had two years ago. Made an appt for 2:30 to relax after my grandfathers funeral. I showed up on time to be told that she took the time down wrong and had me at 1:30 and therefore no appointment. No refund. She was rude and not willing to work with me at all. I will never recommend this place to anyone. This rating is based solely on customer service experience with the "CEO" over the phone and via email over the past few days. We were fortunate enough not to sample their services, and hopefully after, reading this review, you will understand why. Long and short of it, the owner is extremely rude, condescending, and ignorant. Recently my wife had make a last minute cancelation due to our 3 year old daughter possibly being exposed to Covid. Rather than knowingly go into their establishment while also possibly being exposed herself, she emailed the owner and explained the situation. My wife said she would gladly reschedule and asked if the $125 fee for cancelation within 24 hrs could be waived. The owners email answer in short was ' no we cannot'. Trying to help I decided to call and see if there was anything more that could be done. I asked given the situation, when my wife rescheduled can you please waive the fee? Her response was to the effect of - No, you can't cancel last minute without consequence. There is no time for me to fill the now open spot and I have to look out for and protect my business.' Now, as a business owner myself, I completely understand the owners position-but only to a point. Customer service in part is about having common decency and compassion. Apparently this owner's primary concern is $$$ and not with building rapport and repeat business with her clientele by doing the right thing-occasionally even if It hurts her bottom line. My wife could have been selfish and ignorant about the issue, kept her appointment and possibly putting an untold number of people at risk-but she did the right thing. Primarily because of Charolett (the owner) and the one who generally does my massages, though others who have done massage or facial for me have also been very good. I would give a zero if I could. First of all, scheduling was difficult with a Groupon as you must leave a message and they are not at all prompt at returning calls. I finally was able to schedule an appointment. The spa cancelled the first appointment the day prior because they stated they did not have any clinicians to provide the service. I then made a second appointment for a Monday morning. They cancelled this appointment the Friday before stating that they no longer accepted Groupon vouchers. They also charged a $6 scheduling fee which they did not automatically refund on either occasion. They did refund it when I called to request it. (I could not review this company on Groupon because I never actually got to use the Groupon. So I am leaving a review here in order to warn other prospective Groupon clients.) read more

​​First, I want to preference this with the fact that I feel so mistreated and upset that I am writing my first review. Most of the time I simply let things go and write it off as someone was having a bad day or do not feel the need to spend time and energy complaining. I bought my parents a Groupon for their anniversary and when my mom went to schedule she was surprised about not being allowed to book on a Saturday, a $60 holding fee, and a few other random questions. I called back for her to gain some clarity and I have NEVER been treated so rudely. When she answered I gave a general description (like above) why I was calling. She chuckled and stated "Well you gave me no identifying information so I don't know what you want me to do. My shift just started and I'm new here, I'm not the one who spoke to your mom." The last time I checked her job is to say, "Okay ma'am did you know the reservation name or number so I could look up that information for you?" She explained some of the policies to me and attempted to answer my questions. Now, I feel that their policies are a bit rude and unfair, but I would not write a review about that because that is their choice. However, I did attempt to express my opinions to the front desk worker by starting, "Look, I know you just started and there's nothing you can do about it, but the policy is kind of messed up and treats Groupon customers differently." I had not finished my sentence before she cut me off and continued to speak over me. Told me I was aggressive and it was a recorded line (not something that was disclosed prior, but technically in New Jersey this is not a law). Nothing about this woman was professional and I have never had a conversation such as this one with ANY worker in ANY field. Mind you that I work in the service industry. For over two minutes she continued to cut me off, yell, and accuse me of various things. Here is what SHOULD have happened after letting me finish my sentence, "I understand your frustrations, but unfortunately as the front desk associate I am unable to forgo our policies. If you would like I can put you in touch with my manager." Clearly, this woman had no prior customer service training. I asked the name of her manager and if she had a direct line or email, she answered me with "I can't give out her personal email!" (which I was not asking for, but assumed the owner of a company would have a direct contact- work email or number). I STILL did not cancel the appointment hoping that once I talked to the owner we would be able to smooth things over, but then my mom received this message (see photo) before business hours the next day. I did not even have the chance to call nor did she attempt to reach out to rectify the situation. I apologize for the long description of what basically could have been summed up as very poor customer service, but I am hoping it shows how passionate I feel about the way I was treated. Additionally, if you look at the owner's response to other dissatisfied customers (on google), her comments clearly display unprofessionalism. I was not upset about it, I just rescheduled for the following Thursday; not knowing how my work week would turn out, I had to Call to reschedule. OWNER MEAN, NASTY, AND FAKE! Until today, I had no experience with this salon. I called to make an appointment, but they were closed and so I left a message. In the meantime, I figured out the numerous categories of services and found what I wanted. At the end of the booking, a Covid-19 screen pops up. One of the questions is how you agree to wear a mask during services. (It doesn't let you book unless you click "agree.") I ended my booking session bc I don't want to wear a mask while I'm trying to relax. Not a big deal. A few minutes later, the owner calls and I explained that I wanted to book, but online it says I must agree to wear a mask. She told me I didn't have to wear a mask. I suggested to her that she change that on the website bc I'm sure I'm not the only customer who may have wanted to book but decided against it based on this. WELL, suddenly that fake sweet voice Lou he's into a tirade on why I shouldn't tell her how to handle her business...and then SHE HUNG UP!!! Although we paid for 60 minute massages, they only lasted for 45 minutes. Inadequate staffing...we were three and there were only two therapists, so one had to sit outside and wait. Can I give less than one star???? I took my fiancé and I there for a birthday couples massage. The place is very nice, very well decorated and a great ambiance. We booked a 60 minute hot stone couples massage. Upon arriving we Noticed that one of the massage techs had difficulty taking direction just in the brief interaction we observed with one of her co workers (that would become problematic later) The room was beautifully decorated. Very romantic, my fiancé was immediately impressed. That was the last of the good times. The massage itself was sub par at best. Being someone who regularly gets professional massages, this was one of the worst I've ever had. The message tech did not take direction well due to an obvious language barrier. I asked several times for more pressure because being a bigger person, I needed that extra pressure. I was even told one time upon asking for more pressure that "you need a lot a pressure, upgrade package". That left me absolutely perplexed to be told I needed to pay more Money after indicating on the waiver form that wanted deep pressure but also being asked by the same technician the pressure I preferred in the beginning of the service. My fiancée experience was very similar with her technician as well. Moving on the next service in our appointment, was the hot tub. The experience was supposed to romantic and memorable with champagne being served as part of the service. After the massages were over, we were instructed to robe up and get In the tub. As we were getting up, a woman barges into the room very rudely saying that the receptionist did not correctly charge us and that we needed to pay an ADDITIONAL $113. As off-putting this was, we continued our service not wanting to ruin the birthday celebration we were having. She then returns with two bottles of champagne as my DIS-ROBED finance was getting into the tub. There was no knock at the door, (let alone a lock on the door) nothing to alert us that someone would be entering a PRIVATE room. This was only a couple minutes after our massages concluded And were told just told to remove all clothing. The woman who would later refer to herself as the MANAGER (also the same woman who came in to tell us that we were incorrectly charged) did not try to leave the Room, give us privacy or anything, she instead stood in the doorway of the ajar door. Mind you My fiancé is NAKED entering the tub, completely vulnerable to anyone's eyes. The woman then says she needs the payment. I asked could I pay for the afterward, ya know while I'm sitting In the hot tub myself, because I was not able nor wiling to get up in front of another woman in front of my finance to walk ACROSS the room to get my wallet to pay for a service that I was incorrectly charged for. She then leaves and returns a THIRD time asks if I needed her to get MY WALLET. At this point my fiancé has had enough, her birthday is ruined due to this and she informs the woman of her unprofessionalism and disregard for our privacy by coming into an occupied room THREE times unannounced. She at this time, reaches over both of us (still confused and processing this incredulous situation) and turns off the hot tub. After this we are completely disgusted and are preparing to leave when she actually knocks on the door this time and tells us to leave. read more

And charged unexpected fees at the ending. And lastly to book an appointment they put a hold of $30 on my card which she said it would be refunded and I made sure to ask for it to be refunded. Owner assured it needed 3-5 business days and refund was not posted. I called the spa ten days later after noticing it wasn't posted and I called again and the lady that answered shut the phone twice and wasn't kind at all after speaking politely to her. When I called my bank apparently this business does this often with many complaints and stated it's one of those businesses if you don't notice or pay attention they try to avoid it. I had read some reviews that were not very flattering but decided I would follow all the five star reviews instead. Glad I did!Charlott has done a great job decorating and settling into this new location, and all during a pandemic. Well, I was very disappointed by this establishment. I was looking for a little refresher for me and my husband, and I was happy to find a local spa that could accommodate us, and they also had a Groupon service. I booked the service online over the weekend via their website. The system generated response said that I would get an email confirmation or text. I received a call the day of the service and the person said that they could not accommodate that time and was fully booked, but have time in the afternoon. I explained that time was not convenient. Then the lady on the phone said they were going to keep my booking fee because I should have called in for the service as instructed in the fine print. I mentioned that if this was the case then the system should have declined the request at the time of the booking, and since she was calling to reschedule the appointment 1.5 hrs before the appointment that I should have my $39 booking refunded. The money isn't the issue, it's the principle. This angered her and she said that it was my fault because I couldn't READ. I haven't been to any massage parlor/spa since prior to COVID so was nervous initially. The fear was quickly gone upon arrival. It was so clean and well kept and beautiful! The receptionist was so sweet and helpful! My masseuse was Charolett and it was one of the best massages I've ever had. I recommend the peppermint essential oil- very cooling and relaxing. The staff of this Spa if you want to call it that was very rude, nasty and unprofessional. The phone skills were horrible as the receptionist was argumentative and combative. I was inquiring about a waxing and the receptionist answered we use hard wax like every every spa in the world. She said it very nasty and most spas actually use soft waxes or practice sugaring so she really doesn't know much about waxing. I had booked for a few services and after I booked the spa wanted to charge me fees that were not discussed before or during my booking. The first point of contact for the spa should be positive and friendly as the whole point of a spa is to promote relaxation but instead the staff gave me stress and anxiety with their high level of miscommunication and unprofessionalism.
