Tara at the front desk was super sweet and helpful. She booked me with Isis and it was an amazing experience. She was knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process. My Brazilian turned out so smooth. She recommended the pumpkin sugar scrub and I'm so excited to go home and try it! read more

Aaliyah burned and ripped the my eyelid. Not only was her wax job incredibly painful, it was also poorly done. There is about a 2 cm burned area in the lateral corner above my eye where the superficial layer of the skin was completely ripped off. When I spoke to the manager, Aliyah and Nikki (another waxer) came out of nowhere and were incredibly rude and dismissive. They insulted me and accused me of lying about my skin care routine. Ashley, the manager, was nice and did her best to damage control, she refunded my wax and returned my tip. Truthfully Aliyah did a terrible job and her attitude on top of it was unacceptable. Nikki also needs an attitude check. Would not recommend going to either of them. read more

My first experience at EWC in Cherry Hill, NJ didn't start out the best. I had prescheduled an appt (bikini and leg wax) for an upcoming vacation, about 1 month out. 2hrs before my appointment, I get a text letting me know that 'due to unforeseen circumstances', my appt and all appointments for the rest of the day were cancelled. I was given the phone number to call and reschedule via text, and of course when I try to reach someone , no one answered. So I call back an hour later and get someone on the line and learn that the sudden closure is due to a flooding at the location. I was able to reschedule for the next day. Unfortunately the initial person I booked with no longer had availability on the new day/time of my revised appt, so I opted to just schedule with whoever was available since I had a vacation scheduled and was short on time. The actual wax was fine, the waxer (Kelly) was pleasant, quick and was able to keep a nice casual conversation in order to avoid awkward silence. But the check in/out process was a nuisance. One front desk person, trying to check people in, check people out, take payment, make new reservations .. it was just a lot. And the lobby itself is not that big, so more than 3 people in the space at a time feels cluttered. The influx of people might have come from the rescheduled appts from the day prior, but it was still was unpleasant. Not sure if I'd revisit this location. read more

I recently started coming back to this location after leaving for some time because of a bad wax. Thanks to Nikki!! She is the absolute best and makes every appointment pain free, and quick. I seriously can't stress how good she is at what she does. She makes great recommendations for products based off each client and their skin (my sister and I both go to her and she recommends different stuff for each) She does books up quickly so you have to make appointments 4 weeks out but I do multiple months in advance and just buy the wax passes. I scheduled a bikini wax prior to a vacation and I got severely burned I alerted the esthetician during the wax that the wax was too hot, but she brushed me off and did nothing to cool off the wax. It ruined my vacation. When I called the salon upon my return, they said the overly hot wax was due to a problem with the air conditioning. Really?!!! Steer clear of this place. read more

My second time here was somehow worse and that's saying a lot since my first time wasn't that great either. I don't get frequent brazilian waxes because I simply can't afford it, so this was only my second time getting it done. I didn't have to wait very long before Alyssa came out to get me. She asked me if I'd been there before and let her know it was only my second time. She seemed friendly at first, but made continuous comments throughout the waxing that left my feeling very unwelcome and uncomfortable. She stated that my hair was "too long" which obviously was just a way for her to try to sell me on becoming a regular but I found it to be a very unnecessary comment. I doubt I'm the only one coming in there who doesn't get waxed frequently? What a weird thing to say & all it did was make me feel bad. She kept getting annoyed with me for flinching when she ripped the wax off even though I told her it was only my 2nd time and that I was trying my best to not do it but she just kept making comments over and over about my flinching. When I got this done the first time, I'm sure I was just as bad, but that waxer said nothing, she just worked with me instead. This one made me feel bad for having a natural reaction to hair getting ripped from my body?? She also wanted me to change positions at one point and I didn't quite catch what she said to do and asked her to repeat it and she laughed at me. The whole time I couldn't believe how disrespected I felt. She could have been so nice, as she seemed to generally have a good personality, but all of her weird, judgmental comments and blatant laughing at me made me feel awful. I had an okay experience here. I agree with Sonya, I would've liked a robe or some sort of spa cover up as it was a little uncomfortable. The results where okay, and the facility seemed very sanitary. It's not as inviting as a spa but it's not horribly uncomfortable. I believe with time/effort this spa could become very popular if they work on the ambiance/greetings. The great deals are masked by the products in the store but it's your choice to buy them or not. The first time client specials are awesome and I believe they have a rewards/referral system. The location is great too. If you get there early, you may opt to grab frozen yogurt, Starbucks, a cheesecake or even shop as there are many stores in the shopping center. Went here a second time, I was pleased with the results. I do prefer a more spa-ish girly atmosphere but I've recommended this place to friends. I plan to come here again. This is my go-to place - the location is clean, and the staff are all professional and knowledgeable. The only issue I've had is when they are running late on appointments, which does happen from time to time. I tried European wax center for the first time last night. The staff who checked me in were super friendly. I was a bit nervous because it was my first time getting a Brazilian but the technician Amanda C. was great. She did an awesome job of explaining the different waxes and why their wax formula is the best. She also made sure that the wax was not too warm. Overall, it was not nearly as painful as I anticipated. As a first time customer, the wax was complimentary. Since I got the Brazilian, it was not included in the complimentary wax, so I just had to pay the difference between that and a regular bikini wax. Amanda also gave me some free samples of their lotion and exfoliation scrub. I did not feel pressured to buy any more packages, any products, or book my next appointment right away. I did end up buying a serum that Amanda recommend, just because I figured I saved on the wax and so far I have liked the product. The check out staff did a great job explaining how their packages work and how you get more points if you reserve your next appointment right after your wax. I also appreciated that they had a tip guideline on the desk depending on the service since I wasn't sure how much to tip. read more

I used to be a frequent customer at this location when I was living in Jersey. I moved to philly a while ago but decided to visit again because it was last min and this location has availability. Front desk girls used be very polite at this location but I had a very unpleasant experience this time . One of the girl at the front was eating right at the cash register and engaged in discussion about the customers . One of them even messaged my ex gf who I broke-up 5 years ago to let her know that I visited the location with someone else . I explained the J'Tia at the front desk that I was being double charged for a butt strip (booked brazilian with cheeks) the only way to do that in their system is brazilian and full butt. Both of which include a butt strip ($23). She said oh well that's how it works you still get double charged there's no way to just charge for brazilian and cheeks. I asked to speak to the manager, she's only been there since September but said she was the assistant manager on duty and there was no one for me to talk to. I have received that exact package at multiple other locations. I will not be returning to this location. read more

I am definitely going to give this place another try. Went for a bikini wax (was told how long not to shave, but every one is probably different) some hair was I believe to long and some to short, but hey this is my first waxing (other than eyebrows). I like to do honest post but with the safety of the next time that I return anything I say will not be held against the amount of pain that my body goes through lol. I would of liked to of been given a little bit more of a heads up when stuff was being applied & where (and also before ripping, but that's just me). Maybe the idea is to distract (and I get that) but I think that for a newbie you should give a run down and ask what the customer prefers. The woman was good at the waxing part (I can't remember her name off the top of my head, it was a little different) she also told me about how I should be exfoliating if I planned on keeping up with the waxing (which I will) and then she said that they had some great products out in the waiting room (which is what I took a picture of before I went back in the room) and said that the receptionist would help me select one but somehow that never happened. I feel a little bit like there is a small lack of communication in between the receptionist and the technicians because I was also told to grow my hair out to a different length than what the technician had preferred so that is one reason for taking off one star. So that took them down to a four star, but then I factor that I had never even heard of this place and I had to search them out. I've been in that plaza more times then I can count so I'm not sure why word of mouth, coupons, something to let us know that they are there. That also factored in with the fact of how clean I want this place to be and they have air hand dryer's in the bathroom . We all know how unsanitary they are, please put some paper towels in instead. I've been going to this location for a year or two for my brazilians. The staff that greets you is always polite and welcoming; the wax technicians are also pleasant. The only downfall is that the techs can be hit or miss. However, I highly recommend Dayana! Not only is she down to earth, she takes pride in what she does and will take her time to pull every last hair (even if she needs to use tweezers). I've strayed from her when making last minute appointments bc she is gets pretty booked, but I'm always disappointed and end up having to go home and shave the missed hairs. Therefore, be sure you book your appointment in advance, especially during the busy summer season! read more

I am gonna get to the point... and pardon the graphic nature but dude, I am writing a review about hair removal, there is no such thing as dignity when you are exposing the fact you pay someone to slather hot wax on your junk. So, this is the deal. I like a clean plate. If you're into the Parisian prostitute or hippie look? Good for you! You leave your bush alone. Go forth with your wild bush of the Kalahari! I dislike body hair, it's a personal preference. Hell, if I could walk through a laser that would make every hair on my body fall out from the neck down, I would happily do it. I decided to give Euro Wax Center a try since I had not found anyone here to tend to my gardening and it's relatively close to my house. Again, no dignity when the term "brazilian wax" comes to mind. This was my second job ever and I needless to say the first girl I got when I lived in San Diego made the whole thing as quick and painless as ripping your pubes out is gonna get. Here? Not so much. The facilities and staff are nice mind you, but what makes the experience is whether they cleaned the plate properly and they didn't. I came home with a bunch of strays, patches and irritated skin. My shit looked like it had mange. Granted, I can imagine it's difficult to wax around.... ahem, *piercings*, but still, even in the piercing free areas I had strays. For the amount of money involved, pain and embarrassment of assuming the frog position and spreading it for a complete stranger (oh yeah...) I would have hoped to get a clean plate out of the deal. The person who does my wax is great and does a fantastic job. 4 negatives with this location and possibly the chain as a whole: 1. From the minute you walk in you feel like you are in the middle of a sales pitch. I am thinking I just wanted a wax!? 2. They trick you into buying your products by showing it to you and handing it to the front desk so that you have to ask them to remove it from your total bill. After it was rung up I asked the girl to take it off my bill and I was told the she could not only the manager could and she was off hat day. The manager called me 1 week later. 3. I was very happy with my trip to EWC yesterday. This is my first time getting a Brazilian in my new adopted home of NJ, so I was just a tiny bit nervous after going to the same place in Vegas for years. I listened to the previous reviews on here and booked an appointment with April. Pros: 1. She was nice, professional, knowledgable, and adept. She even convinced me to buy the after care products, she was so convincing with her knowledge! 2. She made me feel as comfortable and relaxed as one can be with legs spread wide open and a stranger spreading and ripping hot wax off one's hoo ha. 3. The pain factor was significantly reduced from what I'm used to. I usually get Brazilians done with soft wax with a strip used to rip off the hairs, but she explained that the wax at EWC is a hard wax that kind of "wraps around" the hairs for easier lifting, thus reducing the pain and trauma to the outermost layer of skin. Sold! 4. Facility was very clean. 5. Process was quick and one of the least painful Brazilians I've had done. 6. First timers get 50% off their service with a valid New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware ID. Or something that shows you live in one of those states. Cons: 1. I'm used to the esthetician stepping out while i undress, but she stayed in the room for this part. This is negligible really, though. It's not like she wasn't going to see my stuff anyway. And looking back, I guess it makes sense since this reduces the risk of someone walking by in the hallway and seeing you lying half naked on the table when she opens the door to come in. It just kind of threw me off for a second. 2. A little bit of an upsell at the front desk checking out to book the next appointment or join the loyalty program. No biggie though. All in all, I'm very impressed and will definitely return. Even if I didn't pre-book my next appointment or sign up for the program. read more

**Just an update! 2 years later and I'm still quite pleased with EWC of Cherry Hill. I've been to a few of the other waxers here and it's been hit or miss. I received a not so great wax and went back to have it fixed. Kara (who was not my original waxer but was appointed as damage control) was awesome! She got me all cleaned up and I left happy. I'll make sure if I can't get an appointment with April I'll see her. I go here every 4 weeks and am overall love it. ** I've been to this EWC location 3 times now for a Brazilian and have been very pleased with the service. The center is super clean, girls are friendly, and I've never had any trouble getting an appointment. I really don't mind not being given a robe, I mean my waxer is gonna be all up in my lady bits anyway so who cares?! For the record I go to April who is great. She makes me feel completely comfortable and is quick and efficient. Consider me a regular. read more

After my first, horrid experience at this location, I gave this place another shot, mostly because there's no way of getting a refund and definitely because I was assured that there are experienced staff members. When I first went to see April, my pubic region still looked like a half-shaved mohawk, but she completely fixed it! Her Brazilian was one of the quickest and most painless ones I've ever experienced. I actually have never had a single ingrown after one of her waxes, and I've been to her multiple times after the first. Sorry for being so tardy on my update, but as long as you can get one of the more experienced and professional waxers, you should look no further for quality and reasonably-priced wax services! read more

After reading some sketchy reviews I flip-flopped many times with the idea of trying this place. The name I saw continuously mentioned in positive reviews was April, and yep, they were right, she is the girl to go to. I booked last minute, just the day before, and she only had 2 openings left, so I know she is popular for a reason. She was super friendly and did a great job. They offered a great discount for first-timers, so even if you're not sure about coming here, I would still go for it because I had 50% of my service, or they offer free eyebrows or under arms for first-timers. What killed the 5 star review was the atmosphere and overall experience here. Walk into a room with fluorescent lighting like a doctor's office, and they just stand there and tell you to drop your panties.. no leaving the room for you to get settled, no cover-ups - reminded me of my creepy pediatrician's office when I was a child. I can appreciate a quick and efficient job but like some other people mentioned it could certainly make you feel uncomfortable. And yes, this special type of wax hurts a tad less, but get real, is any waxing painless? No. It still hurts like hell. Overall a good experience, I will be back. read more

I love how quick & painless the hard wax is but like everyone else I'm not too impressed with THIS location. I've been to the Westlake, CA & Scottsdale, AZ location & both were much more enjoyable. At the other wax centers the receptionists were friendlier and there bathrooms had more amenities offered. As far as the robes go, come on ladies, I think if you're comfortable enough to have your pussy waxed then screw the robe. Someone is going to be staring at your undercarriage no matter how many layers you have on up top. read more

Do NOT get your brows waxed here! My daughter had beautiful brows and went in just to have them shaped up. The tech even commented on how beautiful her brows were before she ruined them. They now look like brows from the 1990s. They are incredibly thin and uneven. The tech definitely was new. She put the wax stick in between my daughter's brows and left the wooden stick on her face while she waited for the wax to dry then pulled it off. When I called to speak to the receptionist, she was just as bad as the tech. She was so rude and wouldn't tell me if the tech was new. She also refused to give me her name and told me "it had nothing to do with her." I said I was simply asking for her name In case I hadn't heard back from the manager and I wanted confirmation that I spoke to someone about my disappointment. When I told her I was going to write a bad review she said "that's more than OK" but still refused to give me her name. My daughter went back to look at her name tag and she wasn't wearing one. Horrible customer service. You're better off driving the extra 10 minutes to the location in Mount Laurel. They are so much better there and the people who work there are so pleasant and professional. read more

She made me feel very relaxed I didn't know if I wanted to Brazilian or just do my line due to previous experience with waxing and the pain liz does a great job it was almost painless I already made my follow-up appointment to go back to her in a few weeks Liz also did my eyebrows and my lip line and honestly probably the best waxing I've ever had in 30 plus years Felt the need to update as I have been going to Lauren for the past four visits due to scheduling and LOVE her. read more

I have mixed feelings about giving 4 Stars- It's more like a 3.5 but because April is soooo amazing I am going to bump it up to 4. The ladies in the front vary-some are great-friendly, courteous and all around pleasant. Some are not destined for long careers in customer service or public relations-I hate feeling like a giant pain and inconvenience when I am shelling out beaucoup bucks for my regular beauty maintenance. April is great- the best waxer in the area as far as I am concerned-I bounced around between several locations and waxers before I found April. Kara is great backup, and boy are you going to need a backup- Because of April's awesomeness, she is often called away to train and open new stores, so about 40% of the time, I know I am going to get a call saying that they need to reschedule me to another date or another waxer- and Kara is always my go to. It's pricey but I am happy with the service, the cleanliness and the general experience, so I pay. At first, I was wary of the cost of the after-care products but that serum turns out to be worth it. And boy oh boy is the waxing room cold. I have only had body waxing performed here- my eyebrows are entrusted to a skilled threader so I can't speak to the eyebrow savvy of any of the waxers, but for other areas, I am thrilled with the services I receive from April and Kara. read more
