As soon as I stepped in I realized how big the space is. Plenty of seating and great lighting coming in. We weren't greeted and service felt rushed. Service could have been more friendly. Forgot to take a pic but had a yummy seasonal drink today. It was an iced Pandan latte. Now being that I used to work with pandan for an accessories manufacturer, it was hard to wrap my head around adding it to my coffee. The barista was kind enough to explain its looks grassy but has a light vanilla taste. She was right on the money. Very good. I got half sweet and it was perfect. 5 Stars for an excellent cappuccino, empanadas, and spot to work for a few hours. I needed a place to get caffeinated and do some work before heading to the train station and Wells was perfect. They're clearly a coffee-first spot and their drinks come highly recommended. I appreciated that they had more substantial food than your average coffee shop so I was able to get a few empanadas for lunch. The communal table was filled with folks on their computers (and a few furry friends hanging out below) and everyone was incredibly friendly. One of my favorite coffee shops in South Florida. Its consistency is what I come back for. My usual order is an ice latte and zucchini bread. There aren't a lot of places to get zucchini bread and for it to be moist and well balanced is a huge win. On occasion I will try their breakfast options without the meat and a spinach pastry - all very good. Wells is a drive fwhich I have done just to get their coffee to brew at home. I had higher expectations for the taste of the coffee and breakfast items, however everything was pretty mediocre. Pricing is super high. The staff is friendly, the coffee is exceptional, and the space is perfect for settling in to work or relax. My five star fav coffee spot in Fort Lauderdale. This location is at one of the corners of Flagler Village. Parking here is easier than most coffee spots in the city with some spaces in the front as well as some metered parking along the road. This coffee spot tends to get busy so keep that in mind if you plan to come here during a peak time of the day and if you want to try and work from here. Regardless of it being busy, I absolutely love working from here- it's the kind of busy that helps me get in the groove to work. There's plenty of seating from a community table, to a high top area, to smaller tables, and bar style seating- you can usually always find a spot here... or I at least always luck out and can find somewhere to be. They have outlets available in some of the spots in case you need a charge. Everyone here always seems to be on the same wavelength of working remote or coming here to catch up with a friend or two + enjoy some coffee. Although I can't indulge in caffeine, I used to loooove their horchata latte when I could partake in coffee. My go-to now-a-days is their matcha latte. They are just throwing some watered down coffee milk and sugar in a cup and charging you $20 for it. It boasts a cute outside front patio with tables and seating with shading. The inside is coffee type theme decor with couches and chairs. The staff seem attentive and friendly. They offer bags of coffee grinds or beans unsure which for sale near the register and a large easy to view hanging menus. For the area the pricing is reasonable.
