This was hands down the best dental experience I've ever had. My comfort was very obviously top priority. Everything was done as carefully and as gently as possible. I was asked if I needed a neck pillow or a blanket. The dental chair is a massage chair. I almost never do reviews on medical professionals! Hello HIPAA! It's my business, but this experience was too great to NOT share! I don't know about you, but I hate going to dental appointments! Although I routinely go, it's usually a visit I dread. The sound of the instruments used are horrible and if you happen to have an experience where they didn't numb you enough--it just makes the situation & my anxiety even worse! Well, your girl needed a root canal and so I was referred to Dr. Wells. This endodontist was the absolute best! Here's Why from A to Z Keep in mind...I'm not good with names! Once I arrived for my 0715 appt, Ms. Cindy greeted me and got me checked in. I waited less than 5 minutes before a nice man named Mr. Vern comes around to get me. He does my x-rays and preps me for the procedure. In comes Dr. Wells! Grant it, I don't know if music was playing before he entered the building, but all of a sudden the production begins. the hills are alive; with the sound of music. People are coming in. Laughter fills the air. Woodpeckers are at the window, then along comes a squirrel waiting for the day to begin. In walks Dr. Wells with this pleasant smile! He begins to talk & all my anxiety starts to dissipate--not completely, but enough for me to trust he's going to take care of me. Dr. Wells #1 priority is your comfortability & getting the job done! He has his assistant turn on the massage (yes the chair has a massage), provide you glasses for eye protection and they even provide a warm blanket. The doctor applies the numbing agent(s) & begins the procedure. I kind of felt some discomfort for just a second, but Dr. Wells actually stopped immediately and applied more numbing medication to make sure the procedure was completed without fail. My friends, I pray you never need a root canal but if you do, I promise I'd never steer you wrong--Wells Endodontics is where you need to go! Overall ***** Who knew going in I would get a root canal, a show and a nap! I was referred here after visiting a dentist who suspected I needed a root canal. Coming from the Northeast I have never heard of a root canal specialist, everything was typically done in the dentist office so I was pessimistic going in. Setting the appointment for the next day was easy and they even were able to move me up twice which worked in my favor. Walking in I found the entire staff very friendly and they seem to work very well together. The office isn't like any dentist office I have been in before. Instead of individual rooms they are more like open spaces which concerned me at first as I didn't want everyone hearing me scream but more on that later. Additionally instead of the typical medical office/elevator music there was classic rock playing! Dr. Millstein came in and explained every detail of the procedure down to drawing on the x-ray like John Madden. She made me completely comfortable before the procedure and serenaded me during. As it turns out that Dr. Millstein knows the words to just about every classic rock song and quietly sings along. It also turns out that she may know the words but she doesn't know the name of the band that actually plays them. It was quite amusing basically playing Shazam with her and her assistant. Regarding the actual procedure, it was the easiest, calmest and completely painless work I can remember experiencing. It was so calm that I actually fell asleep twice during a root canal! Dr Millstein's singing skills may never get her on stage but that is good news for us that need a root canal because her endodontic skills are certainly star quality. (7/27/22) read more

I was very anxious going in. I've never had a root canal before and I'm really hard to numb. Dr. Wells is hilarious and happy and makes you feel both confident and relaxed right away. He actually promised me I would not feel any pain and I didn't. The chair had a back massager! There was a bird feeder outside and they were a welcome distraction. Even the receptionists and assistants were super nice. Dr Wells was also quick and confident. You immediately feel like you can trust him. While I can't say the visit was pleasurable because root canals are inherently unpleasant (unless you're a masochist) the visit was relatively painless and quite entertaining. The staff was extremely polite and Dr. Wells expressed great interest in making sure my pain was as low as possible. He explained the procedure prior to, during, and afterwards. I had a clear treatment plan. Post procedure follow up the next day. Had nice 80s music playing and he is polite and engaging with his staff as well as to his patients. He can name 5 Blondie tunes. Dr. Wells and his staff are top notch! My 14 year old son was in extreme pain for a few days and after a dentist visit we were directed to Dr. Wells. It was a Wednesday afternoon around 4pm when I called them, right after the dentist visit, and they said come in now. Unfortunately it turned out to be a dead root needing a root canal. About 90 minutes later the root canal was complete and my son was no longer in pain. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Wells and his amazing, friendly staff. This was the best root canal I've had! I've had 4 root canals in the past but this has by far been the best. Dr. Wells has the BEST ATTITUDE! You can tell he really LOVES his job! The environment is very relaxing and they provide so many amenities. I loved my neck pillow, massage chair and sunglasses. The music was a bop, and the ladies at the front and the dental assistant were a pleasure to interact with. Their office is nicely decorated and looks very professional. As a Bostonian,I would rather root for the NYY than have a root canal.I'm dentalphobic,BUT all that changed today going to Dr. Wells! If you need an Endodontic Dentist he's your man! I experienced ZERO discomfort during the procedure. As a retired RN,I wanted to know what he was doing & he explained it step by step. The Office staff is great as was his assistant. A potential dental student observed(with my permission of course) Easy to access off BBD in 7 Oaks. They provided me with post procedural instructions which I appreciated. Also a breakdown of the bill not just a "Lump Sum Total". Everyone was "masked up",handsanitizer & mouthwash preprocedure were readily available. This was such a wonderful office. The staff, assistants, and Dr. Wells were simply amazing. I have had to have quite a bit of Dental work in the last 3 months which ended up me having 4 root canals done by Dr Wells and each time scheduling was fast and efficient ( no longer than 5-10min wait ) and the office staff was helpful and friendly and quick to help with whatever I needed. Loved that during the procedure I had a massage chair , a neck pillow and out the window lovely woodland creatures eating in a bird feeder to watch . Then to top it off was beautifully sung to by Dr Wells himself .!!! As for his work he does fantastic work and is always cautious to try the less invasive thing first . I had the best dental experience with Wells Endodontics. Dr. Wells and his staff are positive, patient, and work with the utmost care to ensure the highest comfort for their patients. They take their time and are adamant about consulting with the patient as the appointment progresses. I have had to do three crown-preps with my dentist and three separate root canals with Dr. Wells and now if I had a choice between the two I would choose to have a root canal with Dr. Wells over the latter. I am a tough patient to anesthetize as it takes me longer than normal to get numb, and Dr. Wells and his staff made completely sure that I was fully numb before they started any kind of drilling. I had absolutely no pain during the procedure. Wells Endodontics is a perfectly oiled machine whose main focus is the comfort and well being of their clients. I'm almost a little sad I won't see them again lol. Tip after reading another reviewer's post: Dr. Wells DOES split his time between you and the patients in the other rooms. These procedures take at least 2 hours. He'll pause at a stopping point on occasion and this is completely normal. This does not mean you are less of a priority than the person in the other room. Dr. Well's is fair, honest and very knowledgeable. He will not do the work if he feels it is not absolutely necessary. Where other providers are so anxious to immediately drilling -- he takes his time explaining every detail. I went to him for a second opinion and he said the tooth could wait to have treatment -- not necessary to have immediate treatment as other the other endodontist had stated!
