My dentist recommened them to me. I was having a bit of aniexty because I'm known to have adverse effects from pharmacuticals so this is a nerve wrecking experience for me. I spoke to someone 3xs before coming in due to paying out of pocket. The issue I had with this is she gave me 3 different prices. EVERY time she told me the CT was included with the price for a root canal. I have it written down 3xs. All three times there was a different price listed on the exception of the CT scan. The CT scan and consulation would be a different price if he didn't do the root canal which was fine and it made sense. When I got there she told me the CT scan was an addtional 250 and then some other fee so in short it was going to be 1400. Again another price change. So when I said something she started arguing with me and getting louder. I wasn't trying to argue. I stated the fact that she told me something else previously and then I tried to clarify by repeating what she said. She was very frustrating and even motioned to someone else and when I said "I don't need another person involved I was just clarifying because you gave me three different prices before." She acted like I did something wrong and started talking slower to me as if I'm an idiot. I was just repeating what she said for clarification since I had 3 other prices at home. IN NO WAY did she need to raise her voice or go to stand. In no way or shape or form am I tolerate to these types of behaviors anymore. I use to be and I use to just stand there and take it but the older I get the more it makes me want to punch them in the nose. I won't and wouldn't but I seriously miss the days that if someone behaved poorly you could. When I was taken to the back not only was my aniexty high but I was nervouse, so I chatter. The girl that took me back apologized and was completely unbothered by me. She was super sweet. She showed me the cost but again I think it was more like here let me explain it to you dumbass. Very annoyed at this point and I couldn't wait to leave. I was fine about paying it either way. I just wanted my tooth fixed. Money is always a concern but I have the money. I could have pulled the entire amount out of my savings but with the present virus and all I'm trying to be a bit more mindful since I haven't worked in 3 months now due to it. The dentist was very pleasant. Very professional and had great bed side manner. He explained my crown to me telling me there wasn't anything he can do but seriously I'm not sure why the infection can't be taken care of without pulling my tooth. The only real tooth I've ever had any issues with in 28 years. Its in the back but I'm still rather freaked out on why it can't be fixed and the fact it will have to be pulled. I view losing teeth as a lack of self care and dirty which I take care of myself and my teeth. So I'm really not happy about it but what am I to do? I do realize that is not truly the only case and reason people lose their teeth but never the less. I'll be going back to my dentist in a few weeks. Thankfully I have zero pain. read more

My wife needed a root canal and so I called and was told that they were on my insurance network, so I scheduled the appointment and everything was covered 100%. We showed up and my wife checked in and then told me that there was a co pay. I asked them and they said for a consult, they toldme the day before it was covered. This will be my second 5 star review of this practice. I went in for step 2 of my visit and it went every bit as great as the first visit if not better. Who would think that I would eat dinner 3 hours after having a Root Canal. Dr. Chapman is very good at what he does. I am not easily impressed by Doctors and Dentists but he has impressed me. This evening my phone rang and it was D.M.D. Chapman calling me to follow up on my visit and make certain I was doing well. When is the last time your Doctor called you at home? I have had a lifetime of dental issues, and have anxiety associated with going to the "dentist" (or other dental specialist). So, when I needed a root canal and my dentist referred me to AES, I was nervous. My first visit with Dr. Santos was awesome, painless and very professional. Recently, I had sensitivity in a tooth that had a previous root canal and crown. Again, my dentist referred me to AES. After the last visit, I requested Dr. Santos and scheduled my appointment. It was confirmed twice, and I showed up about 5 minutes early. The receptionist told me to have a seat and she'd be right with me. During the next 40 minutes, while I waited in the reception area, I saw them take a 9:00 appt. back. And, as I waited, the receptionist and her co-worker complained about the other office and having to take their calls. I heard her complain and comment on every single patient as she hung up the phone with them. And, then I saw them take a patient with a 9:15 appt. back. So, after 45 minutes of waiting and listening to the gossip and negativity, I got up and left. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I have had many root canals and dental procedures. (my teeth are problematic) I was in so much pain....and terrified. Dr. Alzubaidi (at the Lakeland location) calmed me down, made me laugh, and made me feel comfortable. He was able to identify the problems that I was complaining to my regular dentist about. (and they couldn't figure out) I drove all the way from St. Pete to see him because of his amazing reputation and credentials. He performed a root canal on me with zero pain. The shots didn't even hurt. Afterward, the pain is gone. I feel like a new person. Zero pain afterward. I have to go back for more work. This time, I'm not the slightest bit nervous about it. I found myself in central Florida with an aching tooth at Christmas time. It was so bad that it was waking me up at night. I went to a dentist in Tampa (Dr. Susan King) who recommended a root canal, but the endodontist she recommended was closed due to the holiday. I searched online "endodontist and Lakeland" and Dr. Alzubaidi was the first name that popped up. I called his office and was hoping they would have availability as I did not think I could make another sleepless night with this tooth. And they did! The experience at their office was great. From check-in, where the woman asked if I had dental insurance, I said I did but I didn't have the card so I would pay out of pocket and file the claim later. I said I was in so much pain that I didn't care. The woman said it'd be easier and cheaper if they made the deduction now so she took my SS# name, and date of birth and called my dental insurance company to figure out the details. She was right! It saved me over $500. So huge thank you to that woman. The procedure was no fun, as root canals never are. The plastic over your mouth. The needles to numb you up. The wondering when it will all be over. But Dr. Alzubaidi did an excellent job. The procedure did not take too long (about an hour) and it was on my farthest back molar (Tooth #15), not an easy one to access and work on. His staff was also really personable and helpful. They were compassionate about my pain. I left feeling no pain at all (thanks to the numbing medication) and now over 12 hours later, I'm taking a pain medication and feeling so much better. The change is so night and day. I'm so grateful that Dr. Alzubaidi's office was open on December 26th, could fit me in, do the necessary to remove the nerves and the source of the pain, and contact my health insurance to get my out of pocket payment reduced. Total with my insurance for the root canal and a permanent filling was $681. In Washington, DC, these can run anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500. read more

Nobody likes going to the dentist especially when you are in pain. When I first visited this office I had a bad tooth and was sent there for a possible root canal. Dr. Zubaidi explained my options and ended up making the decision to pull the tooth and doing a implant. I get very anxious and the staff was very accommodating to my fears. Dr. Zubaidi has been kind, patient and has always explained everything and every procedure very clearly. I am so appreciative of everything they have done and I'm so excited that when this is finally completed I will be able to smile without any hesitation and without putting my hand over my mouth to hide my imperfections. My dentist sent me there for looking at a possible root canal. They gave me a price of $184 for the consultation and told me that's all I would owe. After getting a $1400 quote for a root canal which was twice the price of others in Lakeland I already used before, I cancelled my appointment. After I cancelled the appointment then they sent me a bill for further charges for the consultation. I would not trust this Endodontist, or ever go there again. read more

Front desk receptionists are extremely rude. They are not clear on their pricing. They Scheduled my child for a consult+service which was supposed to be done same day. The total was to be $1,400 but gave her space to an "Emergency" when my child was also in pain. Had to reschedule for treatment and therefore charged an additional consult fee/office visit of $280 since the treatment was not performed same day as if that was my fault. The day of treatment they wait until 15 mins before scheduled appt time to call me and explain the additional charges and that I will be expected to pay the remaining full $1,400 before treatment. My children do not have dental insurance and all costs are being paid out of pocket. I feel for the clients in need of care who do not have the funds and are in pain. Also I feel its very inconsiderate to set the appt for almost 3 weeks after consult day knowing my daughter cannot chew and is in pain without prescribing any pain medications. These receptionist attitudes are very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I would not recommend this place. They will sit and argue and speak over you when you question the fees, then criticize clients while sitting behind the reception area. read more

I took my 75 year old mother here for a root canal and from day one I had concerns about their business practices and how they treated patients. Let me share with you my concerns: High-pressure sales tactics: I was in the room with my mother when the assistant started her sales pitch to get my mother to be put asleep for the next procedure. Insurance did not cover this, so we had to pay the total cost out of pocket, which came to $1000. I call it a sales pitch because right across the hall I could hear the very same presentation being given to an elderly couple. The pitch appeared to be scripted, and there was more of an emphasis on closing the sale, instead of informing my mother step-by-step on what they planned to do. The dentist was never in the room while the sales assistant was making her pitch, which led me to believe that the entire presentation had been staged. Medical concerns: I had concerns about the sale assistant's truthfulness. I asked her if there had been any medical problems associated with giving patients medicine to put them asleep? She said "No", but then she said that if there were to be a problem, they had a kit. Really? Well, I never saw a kit during my four visits, and she never volunteered to produce one. She was not specific on how the so-called kit would work or what was in the kit, which made be believe that she was lying. In my opinion, she threw in the "magical kit" to help close the sale. Poor Communication: During my four visits with my mother the dentist was not good at communicating to me about his progress. Contrasting reports were given that made me question his integrity. Unprofessional Behavior: On my very first visit I was mocked by the partner dentist for wearing a Florida Gator's hat and shirt. He rudely told me that the Gators sucked as a team and then he said that I should have worn a FSU shirt, instead. I was taken aback, because he didn't seem to be joking. If that wasn't enough, on my third visit my mother's dentist confronted me and claimed that he felt a strong vibe from me that his work was unnecessary. I just looked at him and did not say anything, because I did not want to cause a scene in the office. He did this as my mother sat in a wheelchair recovering from the medication. We had just paid this guy $1000 and he was in my face with his arms folded looking sternly at me wanting to start a fight. Are you kidding me? I did not want a verbal or physical altercation. I have never been treated this way before by any dentist. I found him very disrespectful, unprofessional, and extremely arrogant. Both dentists need interpersonal skills training. Staff: The staff was professional and helpful. The work: It is unclear to me right now the quality of job that the dentist did on my mother. Time will tell. We paid for three visits, but the job was not represented to us as being complete until a fourth visit, which we did not have to pay for. A staff member initially said that we might have to pay for the fourth visit, but I strongly objected. The dentist spent around 15 minutes on the root canal per visit, so he got $1000 for an hour's work. No bad! In my opinion, $1000 for an hour's work is a steep price to pay for unprofessional, confrontational behavior, and poor communication, even if a quality job had been done. read more

Not a good experience for example the secretaries were unprofessional just to even get a hold of to set up an appointment and when you finally do you get there and they a laminated copy to fill out with a erasable marker and to top it off they're jamming out to music which all well in good but not in an office situation where you to ask or answer questions. Then after all the magic that was the secretaries you get back to the dental assistant which she was actually professional did her job awesome person.
