Poor customer service experiences in the past, but today was the worst. Teller Neerit (sp) should lose her job, as well as some of the upper managers. After laughable interaction trying to deposit a check that they refused (in my nickname -which shows on my Tex DL, and with much more money in acct than the check was for), manager approved deposit but teller over-rode it (all the while smirking and smiling)?! Wanted to close account and asked to speak to person to do it. Watched teller go to managers office (who were talking amongst themselves at the time) to tell her side, then watched managers close their doors while I was told they were all with clients and I'd have to wait. I'm seeing all this with my own two eyes. I went to different branch in Irving and totally different story. Problem was solved in 10 minutes and I kept my account open. The customer service at Denton Tap/Coppell branch is shameful. Just look at the other reviews about customer service, with no reply from bank management. Tells you the story of this branch. Although the Coppell branch is convenient, I'll drive to the Irving to do business. I want to do business with can-do institutions that realize that have, and are taking, MY money, and making a business out of it. Give me a hard time, I'll take it elsewhere. This location is extremely convenient from both 121 and Beltline and since it's near the Sandy Lake and North Denton Tap intersection, it's convenient to most places in Coppell, Grapevine and Flower Mound. In regards to location, you can't get much better than this. I do not use this location for personal banking, this is the current bank we are using for our deposits at work. Another thing they have going for them is they have a drive thru. The last two banks we were using either destroyed and removed their drive thru or had construction blocking it. It's nice to have that convenience, as well as the night drop. Self service in those ways is quite convenient but when we need to collect deposit slips or get change, we have to go inside and it's just a gamble as to what you will get. Sometimes they are well staffed and we beat the line and everything goes smoothly. However, over the last couple of months, the problem visits seem to occur more often than not. Often they only have one teller working and this is during peak times, always between 10am and 2pm. That's just terrible staffing considering how many businesses are going in here each and every day. I understand payroll constraints and having trained staff available, but it happens way too often. During these times you will be in line longer than a lunch break, so be warned. It has also happened several times where the deposit slips are in the bag when it's returned, but not the change order. This is fine when it's caught and pointed out, though it doesn't inspire confidence. However, there have been two instances where an employee returned without it and when we call up to the bank, we have to wait for them to count down and confirm they are over on cash, before we can retrieve this. This can really slow down both our business and the bank, so it would be nice if they were more careful and better staffed to prevent either issue from happening. I should be able to send someone on a bank errand when I can't go and prioritize my time as needed at work. They know who we are, yet I can't count on everything to go smoothly, that causes undue stress. I also find it disconcerting that it continues to happen, despite myself or another member of my team pointing out they are getting in the habit of leaving it out. When things are going well, it's at least 4 stars, 5 with the convenience of the location, but when things are bad, they are bad and more like 2 stars. It averages out, but I recommend you not exiting the line until you check everything very carefully. Returning to fix a mistake may not be a big deal when a place runs like a well oiled machine, but here it might take half your day. read more

I only put one star because it made me. We will NEVER bank with Wells Fargo again!!! They gladly took our money and opened the wrong type of account (it was supposed to be a savings account not checking). Then EVERYTIME we wanted to cash a check they asked where did we get the check from and that they had never cashed a check from whatever institution and this supposedly justified asking for 2-3 verifications (drivers license, texted verification code and sometimes another back or credit card ). Oh and don't let us withdraw some of OUR money..you would have thought we were trying to pull off a bank heist the way were treated. So today my husband and I decided to go and take our money out of the account at Wells Fargo, close the account and move to another bank. First we get in there (both of our names are on the account so we made sure to go together considering the history we had with them). So we walk up the the teller (wish I would have gotten her name) fill out the withdrawal slip and explain that we are want to withdraw the money out of the account and close it. We give her the deposit slip and both of our DLs. She says ok put your debit card in, I put the card in with my name on it and it asks for a pin. I tell her that I don't know/didn't get a pin because we're not issued a pin plus we don't really use money out of this account. She says you don't know/have the pin? I repeat myself-lady I don't have a pin for the above reason. She says ok and take the information to the manager (Raul Cortez). He says you don't have the app? We look at him and say no we don't have the app (why is this important). The manager says ok and says I can help you better in my office. We go in and sit down he pulls up the account and says are you guys traveling or did you just move. By now we are both getting worked up. My husband says man just pull up the account and give us our money and close the account. He says ok and asks how we wanted the money we say it doesn't matter just give us OUR money and close the account. He says ok I will be right back and leaves the room apparently to do some additional verification checks (which is crazy considering you have our DLs the bank card and we sitting right there in front of you)30 mins later he comes back in empty handed so we looking like #%^*+ what are you doing? Is this what you make all of your customers go through or is it just black customers (I forgot to mention that we just witnessed the same thing happen to a black man while we were waiting to talk to the teller and to a black lady while we're in the office with the manager). He says no it just depends on if it's a large transaction or not...y'all didn't have that energy when we put that money in the bank. He proceeds to turn back to his computer then asked again for my husbands last four of his SSN#, ANOTHER credit card or debit card, and sent him a text code for verification. at this point we were about to tag team him because this is discriminatory and ridiculous! He finally asks us if we wanted the money in cash or a cashiers check. We said just get the money out and give it to us and print a previous balance receipt so we can get out of here because we assure you we WON'T be back! He FINALLY comes back with a cashiers check. This whole ordeal took about an hour in a half!!! There were only a couple of people in the bank so it wasn't busy. No apologies, no what can we do to help...nothing!!! We went right over to another back and we're able to deposit the money with no hassle within 15-20mins. The only form of verification we needed was our DLs. Don't worry corporate will be getting an email and I will be giving them the business via google reviews Yelp and wherever else! We have never experienced this with any other bank or CU and we have banked and currently back with 2 banks and a credit union. I really feel like this was harassment in its finest form! Went in to get some statements (with my 3 kids, ages 3 and under). They were patient and extremely helpful. They worked hard to get the answers I needed and to do it quickly. Coppell just keeps getting snootier and snootier and the employees at this WF Bank location are no exception. This is the second time I've gone into that location and received poor customer service and a snotty attitude from their personnel. I just went through the drive through to deposit a $1400 paycheck and get cash back. Was informed by the teller since I had a negative balance of $35 the funds wouldn't be available until tomorrow AM (a locally issued paycheck by a local bank basically down the street from them). So, I got my paycheck back.. guess I'll just take myself to my local branch bank on Preston Road in North Dallas - the funds may very well not be available til tomorrow because of some policy but at least on Preston Road I know their customer relations skills will be far superior. read more
