This branch has 6-8 cashier windows, yet they almost never have more than 2 people working. The line constantly stretches out the door, which is incredibly frustrating when all you're trying to do is handle basic banking. The employees themselves do their best and work hard, but the issue clearly comes down to poor management. Whoever is in charge is either not scheduling properly or not paying attention to how understaffed this location always is. It's not the fault of the tellers -- they're polite and helpful when you finally get to them - but the lack of leadership shows through in a big way. When closing out my savings acct I was first told that I could withdraw all my money (in cash) but they couldn't close it that I had to do that either online or by phone. I told them that that they could do it there. In the end they did close it for me but then issued me a "cashiers check" for which I didn't ask for. When I wanted to cash it there they said they couldn't because I no longer had an acct there. This makes no sense. They were willing to zero out my acct, give me cash, but have me close the acct. But when they closed the acct now they're not willing to give me cash but instead a cashiers check stating "Thats the procedure". Then they refused to cash the check stating that they cant since I no longer have an acct there. Nevermind it was THEIR CHECK they were giving me. After telling them I wanted to speak with the branch manager, whom I never did see after waiting a bit, the teller then proceded to cash the check for me. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

She tells you "you can take out up to 5k from the atms inside the branch" but then forgets to mention it's only with the physical card. So your forced to get back in line and wait an hour. I try to avoid this location as much as I can, but unfortunately it's the most convenient location cause it's pretty much the only branch in El Monte...damnit =*( It's a bit hectic coming here especially during the weekend...cramped parking lot. The only good things are that they have drive thru ATMs & I guess Walgreens is close by. I would never come here at night, the location is pretty ghetto and it's easy for perpetrators to hide since there's not enough lights lit around the ATMs (yes, I might be a tad paranoid) Better to be safe! Obviously I like WF because I have accounts with them. Now, about this location: 1. Only branch in the general vicinity and right off of I-10 2. CROWDED most of the time...if you come at the first of the month, 15th or end...just forget it. If you come on a Friday...forget it. This is one of their busiest branches. 3. They just installed kisosks (ATMs) in the branch. These are better than the outside ATMs because they're serviced by the branch bankers directly. Most people don't realize that it's a different part of WF that services all of the exterior ATMs (so if you have trouble...you have to call a number. The branch has nothing to do with them). 4. Branch staff are very friendly, but always busy. HINT: Parking is tough around the building, but there is a second lot behind the branch...it's work the walk. Also, there's a security guard, so it's safe. OVERALL: Pick a different branch if you can, only because this one is guaranteed to be crowded. However, the staff is friendly and helpful. read more

Wells Fargo on Peck Road, staffs are not friendly. Banking at this location is quite a challenge, staffs are not approachable. It is extremely difficult to set an appointment over the phone which they encouraged customers to call for an appointment. I experienced many calls for an appointment but it was unsuccessful. If you're looking to sit down with a banker at your scheduled appointment time, then this branch is not for you. We had to wait 20 minutes for an appointment for someone who is not even our assigned banker. He comes out with hands in pockets while giving us attitude (barely tolerating us for just being there) and tells us that he even had to come in from another branch. It's understandable that short-staffing is a common issue in this season, but it does not give banking staff a reason to look down on customers and neglect good customer service. This branch also (according to one of the tellers) does not accept walk-ins, and claimed that other branches also do not accept them too. Guess what? One quick call to a nearby branch 1 mile away and they accepted our walk-in right away, and after 10-15 mins we were sitting down with a banker. You don't have to take bad attitude from the people at this branch. Try another. You deserve better! read more

Horrible customer service at this branch! I'm a business client and have been treated badly on several occasions. Visited today in order to make several large deposits and asked service manager, Claudia, if I could have a few deposit slips. She had a snarky attitude and informed me that they were only for internal use and need to be ordered for a business. I've been a Wells Fargo client for many years and have never heard of such a policy as I have always been given a couple every time I visit. I called another branch and they informed me that there's no need to order deposit slips as a business unless we needed them in bulk, which we do not only a reasonable amount. Every time I come here it's packed and the wait to see a banker is at least 30 minutes plus. They don't even have enough seats for everybody. I came in to open a bank account and was talked to like a rookie. He was explaining to me in a real condescending way what I would first need to bring to him yet I already had everything in my pocket that I need it as I am not a new business owner. This bank is a joke. Not only are the employees rude but the lines are always long. A banker by the name of Neftali or some weird name like that "promised" to call me to give me the status of my loan and til this day, I'm waiting on that call. She was incredibly rude by not letting me speak when I would try to. The assistant manager named Paul Estrada was also incredibly rude and being sarcastic with me.
