I HATE WELLS FARGO. After 37 years of banking. I needed to let others know. Is a terrible experience to deal with their ineptitude. Not necessarily the branches. The issues and dysfunction comes from the higher ups. A friend told me, Wells Fargo lost its way long time ago. Absolutely correct. read more

I have been a WFB customer for almost 50 (that's FIFTY!!!) years and my wife, over 20 years. I avoid this branch but the very few times I have patronized it, I find the staff to be unfriendly and unhelpful. Yesterday, I tried to deposit some cash into my wife's account and the teller refused to perform the transaction. She cited that it was to prevent "fraud" and told me all the different ways I can do this myself, such as depositing the cash into my own account and writing her a check, or making an online transfer, etc. She made no effort to assist. read more

If i could leave 0 stars then I would because this bank hardly does the job. The ATMs never work and they placed 2 new ATMs that still don't work as well is very difficult to be able to deposit money as their little slot slams shut trying to place the money in. Depositing the money and it is, shocker, still not working refusing to count 3 of my bills. I go into this bank to deposit the bills that were refused by the ATM and that works, at this point i'm just ready to go and forget my card in the machine because the inside ATM doesn't have the tap feature. I say mine but it is my dads who i'm just depositing money for and go back in a minute later as i remembered the card and an employee had grabbed the card and refused to give it to me. I know it's probably just their protocol wtv, i don't care. I just wanted to be done because wells fargo always has to make things difficult so my dad now has to go and get his card back. "Ace" kept calling support because he didn't know how to do these tasks..4 calls to support ,30 minutes and total frustration,I LEFT. The worst. I went in to cash a check that my mom wrote to me and they actually insisted on calling her to confirm that I wasn't cashing a fraudulent check. Inconvenient and humiliating. Rich coming from a bank that's know for defrauding their customers. Yet another reason to not bank here. read more

Doing pandemic they don't wipe the counter after see a client I mean between customers, I complain last Wednesday to the teller age didn't have a wipes next to her station she went to every single station all box were empty, she end up wipe it with clinic and hand sanitizer!! Wells Fargo keep say c they have a service that come every 2 hours !! This is not enough of someone come though the counter with covid obvious the next person will get it bc they don't sanitizer the it. I don't like this Latino guy that is a floor nana fee now , I need to schedule a time with a banker and he said he will get my IFM n someone will call me on that day .. it wax 10:00 am I didn't got any call for 5 days nothing !!! I end up calling the branch that I regret doing it thus guy was so rude and nose he wants to know to much about my accounts and to much personal information I told him that I only want to talk about it with the banker her went hard on me and very rude. I think his name is Alfredo not sure. Them last Friday another insistent happen I went to bank at 4:30 it was just me in the line , I need to get documents in my safe and the teller regret taking me !! She went to talk to the branch manager that he didn't care until I told him that I was very disappointed with this branch fir the second time . Wells Fargo really screwed me over and lost a large amount of money. However, Jacqueline Alvarez saved the day and did as much as she possibly could to help me. She worked with me for months to resolve the issue, followed up and found the best route possible to get my money back. She's an amazing asset for this team. read more

If I could give negative stars,I would definitely do... I had a terrible experience about months ago. I went into the branch to open checking account. The guy, "personal banker" at the branch used my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER" and my PERSONAL INFO" to open a credit card for me WITHOUT my knowledge and consent. We just needed to give this location more time and interact with staff in depth. A fabulous team of senior folks along with equally fantastic newer faces. Very pro-active in customer education and services. Staff is quick to help research types of accounts and point out when something is not needed or is overkill. Can't leave out the hospitality points! The location has also been updated to be more energy efficient and customer-friendly. Easy parking! read more

Today was a nice day... it was a pleasant day, minor rain, then moments of sun, and then downpour.. but it's is a nice day. Well why I am writing this review, is because my day was made even more special, when I visited this bank, Emily greeted me as I walked in and was ready to help me with my transactions, she was kind and patient and preformed to the best of her duties, I can trust this bank because of the service they provide. I have been a customer of WF for 30 years. The following short story is really a sad commentary on the state of our huge financial institutions. On Friday 4/20/18 I went into the Greenbrae branch of WF and waited to see a bank officer. I instructed the officer to pay off the balance of my car loan by debiting my checking account. The total was just over $10,000. He recorded the transaction as a withdrawal of $10,000 and again as a debit of $10,000. So $20,000 was taken out of my account. Over the weekend I discovered the error. Monday morning I went to the Greenbrae Branch again to get the error corrected. The manager was busy...and remained busy all that day and the next. Another young officer tried to help me. She kept calling me by my last name. "H.....". I finally asked her to call me Mr. H....... I am 70. She was 25. She explained that it would take 48 hours to correct the error. And that any checks that hit the account would be denied and returned NSF. Something that I just could not allow to happen. Seeing no alternative, I was forced to draw money from another bank account to cover any overdrafts. No option. I called the branch Tuesday morning and again asked for the manager. Not available. I called back every hour. No return calls. Finally about 4pm this afternoon the bank called and said their error had been corrected and the money returned to my account! This would have never happened 20 years ago. I am looking for a small bank that will return my calls and treat me with respect. Suggest you do the same.... read more

If I could give no stars - I would. It is a shame that although I have had a positive experience at this branch, what my daughter experienced is totally inexcusable. My daughter who is 21 received a check from her grandfather (my father) around the first of the year. She banks with Chase so instead of waiting for check to clear, she went to Wells Fargo where the check is drawn to cash. She was prepared with her ID and my father was home so they could call and verify check. The manager called and verified the check but then my daughter was told that they didn't have that much money in the bank so she would have to go and deposit at her bank. The check was for less than $5K so I sincerely hope they have that amount of money on hand. They lied to my daughter and when she went to another Wells Fargo and they had to call my father AGAIN, it just imposed unnecessary inconveniences on all. Unprofessional and just bad business. I will avoid this location at all costs and advise others to do the same. read more

We have NEVER been treated as poorly then as Today at Wells Fargo bank at Bon-Air Shopping Center. My 67 year old husband drove to the bank to simply give an order form for our checkbook but he was told to sit down at a bankers desk. After 10 minutes of not being helped for anything my husband approached the 'greeter' who was engaged in conversation-my husband touched her hand with his index finger and she went ballistic - announcing 'you touched me'-next thing my husband is kicked out of the bank & told not to come back. I drove down to the bank a couple hours later to take in the check order form. The manager of the Bon Air branch literally called officer S. Fahy from Central Marin Authority to usher me out of the bank because I asked her for her side of the story... 25 years we have BEEN customers NO more the folks running the show are deliriously out of control THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYWHERE= read more

I have banked with WFB for 30-plus years. Although I live walking distance from this location, I choose to drive to any other branch. Each and every time I've dealt with this particular branch, something has gone amiss. While there the staff seem friendly and competent. But without exception, they have messed up one transaction after another. From my assessment -- just my personal opinion -- Ben Buckley, one of the senior people, is borderline incompetent. I've given up and will never set foot in this branch again. Very irritating. read more

About 2 months ago, I went in to report my checkbook missing so that they could flag any checks coming in from that point on. The lady that helped me put a freeze on my account and opened a new acct for me. Well i had some unpleasant issues with automatic debits since the acct was frozen. So after many visits, email and calls to her....NOTHING. So i went in to talk to Ian who was very patient, attentive and reassuring. We just opened an account at the Wells Fargo Bank in Greenbrae and we were very impressed to say the least. As soon as we entered we were warmly greeted by a guy who asked how he could help us. When we mentioned we wanted to open an account, he walked us over to one of the bankers and asked if he could get us some water. The Banker Mike started by asking us what brought us in and really took some time to get to know us and our finances preferences. He got us set up with our accounts, showed us our online banking, and even walked us on how to make a payment using wells fargo's online banking. He told us that he wanted us to reach out to him by phone, email, or in person for any and all of our future banking needs and said he would also follow up with us (which he did the very next day to confirm our atm cards and checks had been mailed out). To top it all off, Mike said he wanted us to also meet his Manager so we have a second person to go to in case he isn't available. When he brought his Manager over, it was no other than Hamel, the guy who welcomed us as we entered! My wife and I were both very impressed that the Manager of the bank would be in the front line welcoming customers when we entered and was still doing so when we left. We were there for at least 30-40 minutes. We chose Wells Fargo because we travel a lot and they have atms most places we go, but we were happy to see we still got the small town service most big banks lack. read more
