After being a Wells Fargo member at the La Mirada branch since 2014 this all started three weeks ago when I went to cash a check and Andrea told me or Recommended I just deposited it rather than a cash and deposit because it would probably make her life easier than today I go in to cash two checks total $8100 and she tells me I could either cash the check or deposit the check so I chose to cash the check then I went back in line attempted to deposit the cash and she would not take it so I had to drive all the way to La Habra branch to deposit the $8100 which makes no sense not to mention Andrea gave me some lip and tried calling me rude in the process when all I was trying to do was cash and deposit my check which I've been doing for the past 10 years and all of a sudden today it was an issue. read more

I received an email on the 21st that my WF account will be migrated to a bank called "Flagstar" starting December 1st and I will have to setup auto payments of everything I have anew as all the linked accounts will be cancelled. WTF? The fine corporate folks from WF sold the bank accounts originating from the Midwest (i.e "us") to Flagstar. I had no notifications until November 21st electronically that my WF account will be migrated to this other bank. There wasnt even a "Your account will cease to exist on November 30th" display note on my online dashboard that I check upon regularly. Apparently the deadline to stop this from happening was November 8th per the customer service folks I have to spoken to at the branch as well as at their 1-800 number. There is nothing that can be done other than close my current account and reopen another account. I will have to individually login into all my accounts like utilities, etc. and then change the auto payment to a new account. I have stayed with Wells Fargo during all these scandals the past few years. However, the colossal failure in the way this happened will mean that I will be closing my Wells Fargo account for good. read more

I don't know if they're on budget restrictions on hiring more tellers. If there's a line of more than 10 people , they should have the common courtesy to open up more teller windows instead of just 2. It's ridiculous to be waiting this long snide a bank institution. Paul Silva is an extremely lazy of a manager. I went in with an extremely important matter and he brushed me off. He told me , "you wasted your tune coming here". He is right on that. The line here is out the door. Only two tellers working, poor management. Not everyone has 49 minutes to wait in line. Very disappointed, they need to rehire employees back. These places have gotten so money hungry to don't want to hire anybody back. read more

I've been a customer of this Wells Fargo bank since 2003. So far, no problems with them. Still the best bank in La Mirada. Service here is great, the employees here are so nice and always very helpful. After so many years, I will never do business with other competitors. Highly recommended!!! read more

If you want to open a new account, find another bank. This company makes it so hard to open a new account. I went to La Habra, La Mirada, and Whittier, and none wanted my money! They were "too busy." Go figure!!!!! read more

This branch specifically is not customer service friendly, was in there trying to cash a check issued by this branch and was treated very unfairly. Totally profiled, was asked a million questions after providing them the necessary documentation to prove my identity. I understand completely that fraud is rampant, but if all ID required is provided that should be sufficient. Don't waste my time for over 30 minutes with unprofessional questions that make customer feel very uncomfortable. Would not recommend this bank specifically this branch. read more

Came in today and teller almost deposited my check into the wrong checking account. A stranger's account! She took my check and asked me to confirm everything on my screen...prior to me putting my debit card in. I told her the screen I am seeing is not my information. I was annoyed, tellers should be trained to look at IDs and account names. She said, "oh, that was the person before you, I thought you already put your card in". Umm no. Although I appreciate the speedy friendly service, I prefer accuracy over everything, especially my money. I would highly suggest customers review their receipts and double check their screens during their transactions and when leaving. This just crossed the line for me, Wells Fargo just can't seem to get it right. Their system is down, app does not work, unable to use app...they need to get their act together. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd close my account in a heart beat. But since I've been a customer for over 20 years, all my bills are tied to this account. read more

I recently changed from chase to Wells Fargo and the service is so much better and faster. Loosening my credit card, chase whould take 2 weeks and some calling to finally get my replacement card,but wells Fargo only took like 2 days! The manager was really nice! Horrible Customer Service. We closed our business account and they still allowed charges to come through causing bank fees of $35.00. We now owe over $200.00 with 90% of that being fees. We contacted our bank rep Oscar at this location many times , he said don't worry about it he'll help us , months later he keeps pawning us off to the claims department who has no idea what to do. We have wasted hours of our life trying to resolve this simple issue and no help. RUN VERY FAST FROM THIS BANK AND THIS LOCATION, NO ONE WANTS TO HELP!!!!! read more

I have been banking with Wells Fargo, in La Mirada, since 1986 (geez, I'm old!). I have never had much of a rapport with any banker...until Jesse Macias. From the moment I walked in he acknowledged and greeted me with a smile. He was very professional and attentive, not to mention very friendly. In a time when so many people in the customer service field have forgotten what true service means, I find Jesse to be a breath of fresh air. I used to consider having to go into the bank as a bit of a chore. Not anymore. I know that Jesse will immediately assist me with any issue. As a matter of fact, if he's with another customer at the time, I'll wait until he can help me. (Just as I wait for excellent servers at my favorite restaurants, because this girl likes to eat!!) Management, at this branch, must have great vision. To provide the customer with the best of the best. I appreciate when a company goes the extra mile to make my experience memorable. I've had some recent banking business to take care of. Omar helped me on my first visit. He was so professional and easy to talk to. We ran into some issues with the transaction that we weren't expecting, so it took longer than we both had anticipated. He was so calm and never made me feel like I was disrupting his morning. We finally got the issues resolved and he really made me feel like a valued customer. A few weeks later I had to inquire about this account again. I phoned the bank and asked for Omar since he took care of my banking needs so well. He remembered me and made me a same day appointment. Once again he exceeded my expectations. Omar is my go to person. He has excellent customer service skills and is very helpful. He knows how to talk to people. I felt like I was talking to an old friend. I opened my account little over 6 months ago with Jesse macias... At first I was hesitant about Wells Fargo not gonna lie. But he definitely made us feel very welcome and very comfortable as if we were old friends... Not only that day but EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to make payments or any transaction he has always been such a great help I can't thank him enough. Also I had an issue not too long ago AND again he amazingly helped me out as well as DIANA one of the managers from this location. My daughter has her Coogan Trust Fund account through Wells Fargo. It's an account that can't be touched by anyone but her AFTER she turns 18 years old. She started doing background work in 2007 and was required to open it. She is 18 now, and went into the bank to close it and withdraw her money. They will not allow her to close it without my approval. Which I don't understand since it's HER trust fund and she's 18. The problem with me being there is I am currently in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant. I can't just leave. Wells Fargo has no options available for situations like these. read more

Horrible customer service. Incompetent and inexperienced, "Account Specialist". They fail to follow-up and follow through on outstanding issues. Then they lie about returning your phone call, yet leave no voicemail message proving they called. Also, the Branch Manager does not provide the level of service or professionalism expected from a MANAGER. He made ASSumptions without gathering all the facts. I have been a customer of this branch since 1993. While the people are very pleasant, they will smile at you while they are screwing you. They refused to lift a hold on a deposit, even though the funds had cleared 3 business days earlier. They were smiling as they told me I would have to wait an additional 3 business days to "verify funds". Yesterday I inquired about the hold, and was told that the checks had indeed cleared, but I would have to contact the branch to get the hold released. Today I am told by the branch that Wells Fargo has not verified the funds, and that they "cannot" release the hold, due to (insert well-rehearsed lame excuse). Corporate regurgitated the same "policy", and said that ultimate authority to release the hold lies with the branch. Fact remains - they do have my money, and they are refusing to release it. If this is their company-wide policy, I smell a class-action lawsuit. We currently have 10 personal and business accounts with WF. Any recommendations on where to take my business?? read more

Once again Wells Fargo Tellers have messed up by banking. I was at this location yesterday and asked for a withdrawal from my SAVINGS account, they took the money from my checking account and I barely had enough money in there to avoid an overdraft fee. Make sure to speak extra loud and repeat yourself at least 3 times, and don't speak to them about your personal life you're only going to confuse them. Do NOT sign up for any other accounts with them while at the teller window, or sign anything other than what you had planned on going in for. I had once opened 3 accounts without knowing it at their Brea Birch Street branch by a teller named Janelle. I thought I was signing for my withdrawal, the next month a I get a bill for not having money in my 3 new accounts WTF???? I never opened any accounts! But I sure hope Janelle got her promotion for being #1 at new account acquisition. Ever wonder how why they dress so nice? probably from spending your money or getting a bonus for signing you up for things that you don't need.
