Instead, I got an error message saying there was a technical issue with ATM machine-- no receipt, no confirmation, nothing to show that the money was accepted or even received. When I went inside the branch for help, I was told there was nothing they could do because the ATM is serviced by a third party. Their only suggestion? File a complaint and wait. It's now three business days and I haven't received any updates. Every time I call, I get the runaround -- no answers, no timeline, no ownership of the issue. This situation has caused a serious financial hardship, and American First has shown zero urgency or accountability. If you value your money and your peace of mind, I strongly suggest banking elsewhere.

That said, I think there's room for improvement when it comes to their technology. I also bank with another credit union, and their online banking experience feels much more modern. They proactively offer relevant products and services through the app, while Wescom's digital experience feels a bit more conservative and behind the times. I do want to give credit where it's due. La Habra branch recently upgraded its ATMs to support tap transactions, which is a great quality-of-life improvement. It's nice to see Wescom making strides toward modernizing, and I hope they continue investing in their online and mobile banking experience.
