This branch is one of THE worst Wells Fargo branches around. I am a 35+ year customer and stopped by today, late morning on a Friday, to get some cash and wanted to change the beneficiary on my one account since I will be traveling for the next month or so. Of course Wells Fargo can not make it easy like ANY other bank and let you do this simple task online, they tell you you must go in person into a branch to fill out a new beneficiary form. So while I am at this branch I ask the lame-o teller for a beneficiary change form. She asks me if I have an appointment! Appointment to fill out a short, common, every day form with one signature needed? No! Sorry, I did not see any need to make an appointment. Then she tells me there are no "bankers" there today, all day, and I should go online and make an appointment for next week. What the ...??? Sorry, I don't have time for that. Didn't realize it would take an act of God to change the beneficiary on one damn account. Lame, understaffed, lazy people in this branch. Ridiculous. read more

I've been a WF customer for 24 years. The decline in customer service the past years is unbelievable. I selected this branch for a wire transfer as they had the best Google rating in the area. OMG was I wrong. First the teller tells me that I don't have an appointment inspite that I made one over the phone. When they finally figured out I had one after all, the banker, while walking me to his desk starts asking me what transaction I am here for and how much I am planning on wiring. Broadcasting OUT LOUD to the entire hall. Then he sits down, leans back, puts his knee up against the desk. First he was asking me if I wanted to wire in US Euros (!!!), then when got his counterpart on a call they could not verify my identity with my debit card he already verified me with thru the little pad on his desk when I logged in my accounts. Then the guy in the phone was asking me security questions. One of them turned out to be where my happened to be ex husband currently lives. When I told him I have no idea he tells me he can't verify me. I told him I am divorced for 15 years and I have no clue about his whereabouts. Then he tells me if I just can say that I am not familiar with the person - prompting me to lie!!!!! Took an hour and a half to do a wire transfer. (Last time I've done one took 30 minutes.) I am done with WF. Moving all my finances over to Chase. What a shame! read more

I rarely use this Wells Fargo branch, but it's for the drive-thru ATM when I do. The location is on the northeast corner of Community and Poway Roads (in the Aldi shopping center) with access from either road. read more

The people that they put in charge in this branch I don't know if she's the manager or the lead teller has no class she doesn't know how to speak to customers she's not very tactful!! I have been a WF customer for a long time and I have been noticing a decline of what makes a bank, a bank: Customer Service. I am appealed that today, I experience not one, but two employees (a teller and a "manager") that are totally incompetent and straight out told me to use the ATM machine outside for a simple and routine check deposit that I've been making for a while. Not only that, but then try to belittle me, the customer!! They mean to tell me that a machine is more powerful than human interaction? If so, what are these two idiots there for? To frustrate us, the ones that keep our money in their institution, which in turn, keeps them afloat. I am not one to write reviews, but this one moment really upset me. I was glad with branch and people who was working there until today. Some of the tellers are too lazy to spend more time with the customer. Tell excuses which are not acceptable. Basic business deposit that was handled by another teller without any problem, with some tellers seems too complicated to do. Very upset. I have been a member since I was 18 and I really appreciated the tellers that used to work there they were always so helpful and sincere with customers. Their patience in explaining or giving me options really motivated me to stay with Wells Fargo. However, from my recent trips to WF, I have been truly disappointed with the quality of personality and helpfulness from the bank tellers. They are not very welcoming nor are they able to explain certain processes or have much patience to do so. The team at the Poway Wells Fargo has changed for the worse and I avoid going to the Poway location because I do not want to deal with any bank tellers there. I do not feel they will be much help due to my prior experiences dealing with them and at times debating the situations. Overall, I am not satisfied with the quality of service WF provides in the recent years and with the changes it has made. It may be time to switch banks. read more

Today, the system cannot find me in the system with my SSN and birth date! I go here all the time to deposit my checks. Never have to wait very long and the tellers are very friendly. The tellers are very friendly and they get to know you after a few visits. The parking is never really a problem. I have been banking with Wells Fargo for the last twenty years and I plan on continuing to bank with them as well. read more

I scheduled an appointment online because I wanted to start an IRA with my tax refund and I wasn't sure which would be my best option. When I arrived, while everyone was friendly, they didn't know who was scheduled to take care of my appointment so it was musical chairs for a while. Then they sat me down with a guy who only knew about a savings IRA and then when I expressed interest in learning more about investing he decided to transfer me to his associate... a process which involved a debated conversation with me just sitting there. Finally I was supposed to be with someone who could answer all my questions and he pulls up my account and goes "so.... where are the funds?" Confused I answer, "I have the funds in my Wells Fargo checking account". Crestfallen he goes "Oh I'm sorry, I must have misheard that you had $500,000 to invest.... this will take a bit for me to adjust... because we'll $500,000 is a sizeable amount and what you have is well....considerably less". Then he sat there looking depressed shuffling some papers while I felt like the tiniest most unimportant customer ever. Then he put me on his corded desk phone (which was awkwardly stretched to the max to reach me across his desk) with someone who could "help me with my needs" while he worked on other things on his computer. While the person on the phone was very nice I did the bare minimum to set up the account so I could run out of there. I still haven't transfered the funds to this account and am seriously considering just going somewhere else. Wells Fargo is obviously only interested in bigger fish. read more

I have been banking for years at Wells Fargo and have never until today had the absolute worst experience. I was 5 in line and 20 minutes later became 1st in line. Then I had to wait another 10 minutes while the straight deposit were being taken out of line and the merchant account customers were helped before me. There was 1 teller and 1 merchant teller. So another 10 minutes pass by an the line is 7 deep and everyone one else except me and the people waiting to be helped. The lead teller decided to give water to all the people behind me and never bothered to ask me. I proceed finally to teller mind you after a 30 minute wait and the lead teller has the nerve to ask me if I'm having a bad day. We'll I just had surgery 3 days ago on my knees can barely stand waited 30 minutes for 1 teller to open to finally help me. No I am not having a good day at this Wells Fargo location. The teller can't cash my checks even though I'm PMA and have NEVER had a single issue cashing a check. This is the last time I EVER go to this location. Rude lead teller and of course I'm late to my Dr. Appointment just down the road thanks to the atroshish customer service in Wells Fargo Bank in Poway on Pomerado Road next to Target. read more
