This office staff told me I had to settle the bill first (an amount she could not tell me, I found out later I owned $20 from the collection agency) and me the collection agency contact information. I tried to schedule an appointment and told the receptionist I will pay the bill once I contact the collection agency, I also informed her I was not aware of a past financial obligation. The allergist staff said once I pay the bill THEY WILL DECIDE IF THEY CAN GIVE ME AN APPOINTMENT. I couldn't believe their main concern was collecting the debt and not patient care. I even told her if the bill is not paid by the appointment date, they can cancel our appointment. She still stated no appointment until I call back with confirmation that the debt was paid. I will not subject my kids to a practice that is more concerned about $20, ten year old debt.
