The practice of prescribing antibiotics prior to procedures was extremely controversial in light of what we now know concerning gut health and overall health risks. This place has ruined my dental health and I have now spent thousands of dollars in repairing my teeth at another dentist in town. Metal fillings replaced. Cracked teeth needing to be fixed and crowns replaced just to name a few. This dentist ruined the dental health of my ex wife as well through out the 16 years of marriage I witnessed thousands of dollars in dental work that resulted in tooth loss, and dental problems. This is the worst dental practice in the entire area. Avoid at all costs.

This program would only allow up to $3000 of dental work to be done. This office knew I couldn't afford to go over that amount. I had to have a full set of dentures done. Dr Brock Gundersen explained to me what would take place in order to not go over the amount allotted per year. After a year of work I received a bill for over $1300. This amount was accumulated during the second year of work being done. This was to have the bottom dentures to be able to snap in and out which would mean dental work to have posts put into my gums and also for the dentures to be drilled so the dentures would be able to snap into place. After waiting 6 months for that fitting giving the gums time to adhere to the posts it was time to drill the spots for the posts to snap into. In that day one of the spots was extremely close to where the teeth sat and the other side where the post would snap into you could see through the top of the denture the post hole but it was drilled further back from the teeth line. So Dr Gundersen had to send my bottom denture off to be fixed because of it cracking my denture. That took a week to be taken care of. Fast forward almost 15 months. This past Sunday the side that was right up against the tooth line broke while I was eating breaking the bottom denture in half. I immediately call the personal phone number for Dr Brock Gundersen to let him know what happened. During this time we talked about the outstanding bill which was now in collections and came to the agreement that I should've called after receiving the bill but was told that on their end sometimes that their finance department sends a bill but that usually my case manager will handle getting it taken care of by the insurance company that I was a part of. He told me no worries and to just call their office the next day on Monday and said he would work something out with me. I felt better thinking they would help me get them fixed knowing I don't have the money to pay for it. The appointment was for this morning. I got a call yesterday informing me that the visit and work would have to be paid for out of pocket upon my arrival this morning. I let the person know on the other end of the line that that wasn't possible and that Dr Gundersen specifically told me we would work something out. I had called my case manager to let them know I needed to make sure the program I was on was in place to have ready for Gundersen Dental. The person at Gundersen Dental told me that that program was no longer so she would have to discuss the situation with Dr Gundersen and call me back. After about an hour I got the call and was told it all had to be paid for out of pocket upon my arrival today and that she was told that the breaking of the dentures was normal and it was not the fault of their office. Even when the holes for the posts were close to the tooth line on one side and the other hole was really transparent making it easy to see the post on the other side. I was never informed that it was normal for dentures to break with this procedure being the route taken to have them be able to snap in. Had I known this was normal I would never have had this procedure done due to I can't afford to have them fixed or replaced every year or however long they would last until the next time they broke. I was never told by Dr Gundersen about this. Being curious as to what todays visit would've cost and the cost of the denture to be fixed I was told it would be $94 just for a regular visit not to include if any X-rays or impression or just any other work they would have to do and for the fixing of the denture it would cost $17-$1800 out of pocket today. This was how Dr Gundersen was working with me. The lady on the other end had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to keep my appointment this morning knowing what would have to happen money wise in order to be seen. Really?!! I wish there was a way for me to upload photos of my bottom denture. All this dental office did was bill me for stuff that they knew was over the amount of money allotted, which was now in collections and leave me with having to resort to using nail glue for press on nails to fix temporarily my bottom denture in order to eat and for me to be able to go out in public to handle affairs without being embarrassed. Maybe others have had a great experience with this office but mine turned into a nightmare. This is why I do not recommend this place. Continuation from above. Now the other side of where the post goes in is starting to crack! This is ridiculous and I told Brock Gundersen that the other side of my bottom denture you could see where the post goes in and that although it is sitting further back from the tooth line, the post was close to the surface and I felt it would only be time before it comes through the top. Of course that's normal for this to happen? NOT!

Everything was very clean in the exam room. We were sent home with a great goodie bag. And they were very detailed going over the cost breakdown of work that I'll be coming back for. This was one of the most positive experiences I've ever had at a dentist as a new patient. They had even requested records from my previous dentist and had reviewed them before my appointment so that unnecessary imaging didn't have to happen; we just picked up with our dental schedule from where we left off with our previous dentist. The front office staff need to be more diligent and be able to find the information that is needed for parents and patients who are waiting. I arrived for my daughters oral surgery which was scheduled at 11. We arrived around 10:45 where told that the anesthesiologist was behind. When I asked how long and if someone could check. I was told possibly 20 minutes. They left out that there was a patient in front of my daughter that was still waiting. We waited for close to an hour and a half before being taken back (12:23).
