I cannot say enough positive things about Bridgette and the Marry Me Minimonies space! The event,…read morethe service, the ambience, was better than we could have ever imagined. I planned my sister's baby shower from out of state and was having so much trouble finding a venue with AC in August - who would have thought this could be an issue in Florida? I didn't look at MMM originally since it was a baby shower not a wedding and felt the price and target demographic would likely not align with what we were looking for, but finally ended up looking at the Instagram out of desperation to see if the space could possibly work for our needs, and it was PERFECT. Honestly the pictures and videos don't even do it justice. Everyone who attended raved about how beautiful the space was. Bridgette went above and beyond to make the process as simple as possible for me and as beautiful for my sister.. adding so many amazing details along the way without being asked - flowers inside of ice cubes in the mimosa bin, wooden hearts for attendees to sign for a guest book, etc - these amazing gestures were greatly appreciated. She even provided linens, plates, decor, as well as vendor recommendations for the very few things she didn't have. She also coordinated my rental and included everything in one invoice. This is hands down one of the best private events spaces in Gainesville! One of the attendees even said she would like to host one of her upcoming showers there.

Let me start by saying that I'm a weddings and events violinist, and I've had clients cancel on me…read morebefore for various reasons, I've always refunded them in full when this occurred. At first, she seemed like an excellent choice for our wedding officiant, she was responsive and she gave us money-saving tips on the initial zoom call that I had with her. To be fair, my mother and my fiancé initially had reservations, yet I felt strongly at the time, so I booked her anyway one year out, and paid the 50% deposit. We did not have a written contract. We had a second call with her about six months out from the wedding, and she gave us a link where we could fill out a form for her to look over and start working on our script for the wedding day. During this call, she let us know that about 30 days out, she would have it over to us for our review. I texted her the second week of October, and she had let me know when I asked politely, that the draft would be over to us next week. Two weeks passed before I realized that it didn't get sent, because I was busy getting some things settled for the upcoming wedding. On Saturday, November 1, exactly 2 weeks out from our wedding, and over one week away from when she told me I should expect the script, I texted her again and politely asked when we can expect it, since the wedding is now two weeks away, and since myself, my mother, and my fiancé would really like to look over the script. She advised me that she was working on it that same day and would have it to me the very next day. If there was a reason for a delay, or she had things going on in her personal life, and she had provided some type of explanation when the next day came and went, and I still didn't have it, perhaps I'd be a little more understanding, but there was no communication whatsoever during that time. As the Bride, my only Job two weeks out from the wedding is to focus on my skin care and my mental and physical health, And to make sure that I am getting enough sleep and preparing for the big day. I should not ever have to chase my vendors. Finally, we decided to hire a different Officiant. I politely explained to Katherine in a group chat with my mother, and Ryan included that we would be canceling her services and that we had found someone different, I explained that the expectations were not met with deadlines and communication, and I was met for the third time with, I will get it to you later today I was almost finished. This is something that I have heard twice before now, and whenever I, as a Weddings And Events violinist, tell a client that something will be done, it's always done within 24 hours of when I tell them it will be done. The way that we were treated was just not OK with us, and it's not a good way to do business in general. I do not enjoy writing bad reviews, however, this was upsetting to us during a stressful time. We had no in person meetings with her that would have required gas money or travel, and although I understand, the short notice was unexpected for her, it was also unexpected for us, as we kept getting pushed back every time I had asked about when we would receive the script. My mother had been the one to tell her that we decided not to hire her, as I was still recovering from an emergency oral surgery, a couple days prior, and yet, she excessively texted the group chat and messaged me privately saying that there would be no refund. Why did she message me privately outside of the group chat? This seemed unprofessional as well, and aggressive, it made me uncomfortable and made me feel that again, she wasn't being transparent. Nearly a week later, after further communication via a phone call between herself and the woman that recommended her, she agreed to and provided a partial refund. She did also apologize which we appreciated as well.

The outdoor wedding I attended made use of the paved patio outside the event center for both reception and cocktail hour. The sidewalk led down to the beautifully shaded and perfectly arranged wedding ceremony space. (Upside: stunning for outdoor photos, Downside: BYO Sound equipment - which can be disastrous) The paved patio space was versatile, easily arranged with high top tables, a bar at the end, two self-serve appetizers tables, and a reception table for guest sign in/well wishes. The couple arranged for a beautiful variety of meats and cheeses plus nicely sized cocktail shrimp, and the only thing I had a qualm with was too many shrimp, not enough people eating them - and I hate waste so I ate too many. The floral decor was elegant, simple and understated, with very good quality flowers, which you just don't get everywhere - these people cared! The event space itself is large, vaulted ceiling, smooth floor, very arrangeable for your event needs. Accommodated well over 150 people, with a robust full service bar in the back as well as a tea and coffee station. Excellent use of space, beautifully appointed tables, and attended by highly organized staff. Upsides: versatile spaces, elegant presentation, professional staff, quality food and decor, enchanting views and very photogenic. Plenty of parking on scattered rock (no mud, but also don't wear stilettos) Downsides: BYO Audio as far as I could tell, or the couple didn't pay for it and that was a Mistake. The main event hall didn't display any dancing lighting or colorful dj style experience for the end of the night, which sadly discouraged almost all dancing. And - worst - only one toilet for women, one toilet for men. Yes even if you have 150 people, just 2 whole toilets.

The venue is beautiful, but every other selling point they had turned out to be not as described…read more Amy, who runs the venue, was extremely rude to both me and my venders. I had multiple venders complain to me about her. I was originally told (before I signed a contract) that I could use the kitchen the night before the wedding to hold our bar and cocktail hour supplies, then just before the wedding I was told I no longer could. I was told we could take pictures in their stables (as pictured on their instagram), then day of told I could not do so. The grooms suite has a pool table in it that our groomsmen were excited to use, however upon arrival ALL of the pool sticks were broken. They contacted the venue and were basically told "oh well". The WiFi didn't work in the bridal suite so the tv was not functional. As we were leaving our venue after our wedding, staff was extremely rude to my husband and I. When I requested decorations for my ceremony from their "all inclusive" decorator, I was told no, and that the "venue is pretty enough" so I didn't need them. As well as many other small things that happened throughout our planning/wedding. Do not recommend
