The guy that was working the register needed help. The 2 women were doing multiple jobs, from the grill to the fries to bagging food. I just had to commend them for staying calm and not losing their cool. these 3 employees need to be recognized asap! and as far as the " manager " get a new one! review the camera footage and see for yourself how much of a "manager" she is. Located in the Maryland House rest stop. Prices on the Wendy's touch screen doesn't match the menu, so one price shows up so that's weird. Service is slow. No one at the register, and the touch screen single one is very slow and the person in front was having a hard time... no one to help him so had to step in and advise. THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE. if you looking for a fast food place go anywhere but here. the bacon was so so so under cooked i should have got the manager out right then and there. i'm not any karen but that was one of the worst experience i have had. The one worker was so blatantly disrespectful i wish i would've said something because the tone in her voice said all it needed to. she should have never been hired to work if she cant keep her face and attitude in check. To begin, my experience started poorly with Sean, the employee at the front counter. The ordering process was exceptionally slow, and I was forced to repeat my order more than five times due to a lack of intelligence. Even after taking my order, several items were still prepared incorrectly, demonstrating a concerning lack of accuracy and quality control. Furthermore, when I politely requested additional honey mustard and barbecue sauce, the employee assisting me responded by repeatedly insisting that I would have to pay for extra sauce, despite the fact that my family had already spent well over $90 on our meal. While I understand that businesses have policies regarding additional condiments, the interaction was unnecessarily unfriendly, lacked professionalism, and gave the impression that customer satisfaction was not a priority. My disappointment only increased when we began eating. The bacon served on multiple burgers was severely undercooked to the point that it presented a legitimate food safety concern. My family of five unknowingly consumed this food, and I am extremely concerned about the potential health risks associated with serving undercooked meat. No customer should have to worry about becoming ill after dining at a rest stop. Throughout our visit, not a single employee offered a welcoming smile, kind greeting, or displayed any sense of professionalism or hospitality. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, inattentive, and indifferent toward the customers. For a rest stop representing a well-known company, I expected significantly higher standards in customer service, food preparation, and professionalism. This experience was unacceptable from beginning to end, and I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and genuinely concerned about the rest areas commitment to quality and customer care. Stopped here yesterday to get some dinner. I ordered at the kiosk and waited 15 minutes. I asked about my order and they said they never received it even though I had ordered and paid. I ordered again and got my food after waiting another 10 minutes. When I got home and looked at my credit card, I was indeed charged twice for one meal. Had to spend ten more minutes on the phone with my credit card to get the charge reversed. Don't stop here unless you enjoy poor service in all areas. read more

Wendy is a little girl that I'm sure was not as patient as it expects its customers to be at this location. I was trying to get a bite to continue my ride to New York and I should have just starved. Yes, I do understand Covid has changed some things, like restaurants being understaffed but this takes the cake. There are rules to getting food at this Wendy's. (See rules below) RULES 1. There is no cashier ordering service. If you attempt to stand on line to make a purchase, you will look like an ass. While the sign says you can use the kiosk service for a speedier checkout. It fails to say you have to use the kiosk to order food period. Kiosk are found at an entrance and in the middle before your dine-in area. 2. Have a credit/debit card on hand. There will be no cash transactions unless you plan to eat at another place or are trying to make a deal with someone. 3. Remember your number after placing your order. The kiosk I used did not print a receipt. So, I hoped there would not be a problem when picking up my food. And there were no problems because they don't ask to see your receipt. 4. If at 1st you don't succeed, try try again. The problem with technology and computer systems is they sometimes don't work or freeze, and this was my problem. Solution- use another kiosk. 5. You will wait a long time to receive your food. If your in a hurry, choose another place to eat. There is no rhyme or reason for the staff to call the numbers. They were calling numbers in order. 461 was called, then we heard 479, then 457 and then it returned to a numbering order. So ,please don't think they skipped your number, they just don't know how to count. I blame it on our education system. 6. Patience is important. Yes there is a lack of staff members but there is also a lack of urgency. 1 person is doing fries, nuggets and drinks and packing your bag. Another is filling the juice machine and I have no idea what the 2 young ladies were doing besides being comedians, laughing at their own jokes and distracting the guy doing most of the work. 7. You would think that its fast food- its greasy, has high calories, and its fried- so it has to be good. WRONG. It taste just as shitty as the set-up and service. Your taste buds will be left unsatisfied, you will be angry your trip is super delayed, and wish you could rewind time and go somewhere else. The food was very good, fries tasted excellent, and lemonade was freshly made. My wife's salad was fresh, delicious and just what she needed after 11 hours on the road. Burgers have been sitting out under heat lamps for a while before being "assembled." Thus, they are overcooked, dry and flavorless. The fries are undercooked, and taste like raw potatoes. This Wendy's at the Maryland House Travel Plaza was completely understaffed . People are waiting for a minimum of 20 mins to use a Kiosk while only four people working in the entire place. Once you finally placed your order then you had to wait an additional 20 plus minutes to collect your food. The reason why is most of the staff need to say hello to their friends that came to the counter and delayed the entire process of this being a Fast Food establishment. Thanks for their friends showing up and missing up my order and fries where burnt to them that could be from one of the staff member eatting food with gloves on or shaking other people's hands with gloves on.
