Wendy's was the only place that I felt like I could get a decent fast food meal the last several times we've been and it's been awful. Today we were in a pinch and decided to give them one last try, the fries were half full, cold and had no salt the nuggets were pretty pathetic. The two girls that were serving the food were teenagers, but I have to think why would you serve this to anybody. The double stack had no flavor was completely dry and the bun was hard won't be back. It's sad that in the small town, we can have one decent fast food restaurant.

We stopped here in our way home to get some food. My step mom wanted a taco salad an my dad a chili cheese potato an we were informed they we're out of chili. Ok no worries will just order something else. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich combo my step mom ordered a Junior cheeseburger and fries and my dad and sister ordered baked potatoes. Now as we get the order we ask for salt an they inform us they are out of salt. So we had no salt for the french fries and no salt for the baked potatoes. They couldn't even sell the fries that came out of the fryer because they had no salt. Then we found out later on they were also out of chocolate Frosty's. I have no idea how this happens. My chicken sandwich was about medium it look like it had been sitting out all day. The potatoes weren't the greatest either and not even being able to put salt on it didn't help. The junior cheeseburger was OK and my side Caesar salad was probably the best thing we ate. My dad's cod sandwich was just OK. I have no idea how you can run out of salt let alone chili or chocolate frostys. Don't you have a store room. N why wouldn't you tell customers that before you order baked potato or fries. Not sure if I will go back to that Wendy's.

    Fries weren't all cooked completely.

Yowee! This place is bad. On our recent visit they were out of Coke products, straws and napkins!! How is this even possible? Never again.

Typical Wendy's. Food is good and the staff is pleasant enough. Limited choices here in Appomattox.

A lovely BnB in a quaint and historically interesting town…read more We were the only guests, on an early spring weekday, and the owners really treated us with a lot of individual attention, regarding arrival, the dinner and breakfast times, and the tasty dinner itself. The rooms were perfectly clean, and lovingly furnished, each one different in size and looks. But we heard and smelled the kitchen under our beautiful room with the red wallpaper. If you do not like train sounds , better do not take this room but take a room overlooking the front of the house with its impressing, well taken care of oak tree. Also, be aware that the mattress in the red room is very soft. The overnight price was fine, but all the extras chosen by us, like food, wine, and flowers were rather pricey. We would like to return to this friendly BnB - but would choose a firmer mattress - we are sure the charming owners could help us choose!

The design is pretty ornamental, in keeping with the time period of the house (late 1800s). I had the Havilah Room, done in Persian blue with a burgundy area rug. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, with a perfect mattress and high-quality linens. There's a balcony on the front of the house that all the guest rooms have access to. The first-floor restaurant will send up dinner if you just call down and request it. I was in the mood for a steak and they had a terrific ribeye available the night I was there. Simply seasoned with salt and pepper and perfectly grilled, with flavorful garlic mashed potatoes, it made a satisfying dinner. There's plenty of complimentary parking right onsite and the Appomattox National Park is less than ten minutes away by car. The innkeepers here know what they are doing and everything runs very smoothly, for a reasonable price.

It's a little sparse on the inside, but nothing bad. We ordered our food and it took a little longer than we were expecting for breakfast - maybe around 25-30 minutes, but I also know it's a small place in a really small town so no biggie. Our server was nice enough but a little quiet. I got eggs, bacon, toast, and a pancake. My boyfriend got eggs and biscuits and gravy and our friend got chocolate chip pancakes. It was all pretty good. I'm not mad at it. All together it was around $33 bucks. Being from the city, I thought this was a mistake for 3 people but it was the actual price so that was great. I would recommend this place; it's solid with good food and a great price.

They have quite a menu and everything looked tempting. We were happy to see they had a light fare section, who wants to over eat lunch! Hubby had a nice wander around looking at the artwork of trains and the model trains, while waiting for our food. Hubby went for a burger and fries. I tried out the meatloaf with gravy and turnip greens. Hubby tried my meatloaf and wished he had gotten that too but he did love his burger. I feel the highlight for me was the turnip greens! They were perfect! Nice and smoky and not too salty. Thanks for the special treat since we don't get them in Maine!
