Consistency is what you really desire when getting fast food and that's what you get when you come here. When we have eaten inside the staff is incredibly nice to my daughter and it's always been clean since they remodeled. Drive thru is efficient enough that I've never really waited that long and although the order taker isn't always as chipper... the window crew almost always is when they deliver your food and that just leaves you feeling positive when you are leaving. I saw the reviews before I went here, but I went anyway. I was on my way to a concert at the Roxian and needed a quick bite before going. Now, I wish I had gotten a pretzel at the venue or had just been hungry instead. The food wasn't even worth eating and a total waste of calories. The Dave's Single was pretty tasteless and lukewarm. I also ordered a diet lemonade and it came out like warm with a tiny bit of lemon. I even called them on it, they said that is what it looks like now and closed the window on me. I wish now I had honked the horn and sent it back. I've had diet lemonade at multiple places and I can assure you, it doesn't look like that now or ever. I should have thrown both in the garbage. The other thing was the man running the drive through window. They have an app where you need to scan it for rewards. I gave him my phone and he had no idea how it worked. How can that be possible unless it was his first day? He had to call the woman who lied to me about the lemonade to the window to show him how to do it. How hard is it? Take my phone and scan the code. It's not brain surgery. Hello! He also barely spoke to me and grunted. Don't waste your money here and deal with these lazy rude people. Drive thru was busy this morning. Probably due to the free breakfast sandwiches. I ordered one with swiss cheese and without meat. The order taker claimed I didn't order one without meat so they had to remake it. The bun of the sandwich is like a croissant but square. The swiss was really cheese product that was only on one side and melted into the wrapper. The egg was cooked properly and even had an oozie yolk. As I sat in the drive thru reading the reviews for this place I thought it can't be this bad here. Maybe it was an off day or that this review that I am reading is months, if not years old. However, after experiencing this place myself I can concur with a few of these reviews. Notice I said a few and not just one specific review. It's as if they have given up at this location. The lot and building itself looks drab and in need of some care. This is about the only one in the area that hasn't undergone a renovation to update to the newer models out there. Nostalgic? Not really. Anyway, I still decided to keep going. I am a Wendy's fan and never had a bad experience at one before. We decided the drive thru would be the quickest route seeing how the inside did not look inviting. With that I cannot speak as to how the inside looks, I am just going to assume that it is not much better than what the outside presents. Drive thru usually means a fast, easy way of ordering food and heading on your way. Not so true here. We waited in line for what felt like a long time and there was only one other car in front of us. Finally place our order and wait some more. Make it to the window finally and go to pay. But instead we had to wait until the employees inside were done with their conversation before we were acknowledged. Finally pay and get our food. I was a bit worried at this point as most of what I had just read seem to be true. But I think it was better that I just head home and pray that my order came out right. Make it home, open up the bag, take sandwiches out of wrappers and find that what we ordered was what we got. Bonus at this point. The down side, we may have gotten what we wanted, but it definitely was not fresh. The burger patty was on the dry side, as if it was sat in a warmer for an extended amount of time. The fries, too greasy and, if this is possible, too hard. How do you get that combination? It should be one or the other but instead we had both. We visited Wendys #2362 in Avalon, PA last night. We arrived and pulled into the drive-thru at 9:23PM. We got to the order screen around 9:31PM. I proceeded to start my order with 2 of the $1.99 Kids meals after 4PM. But instead I was told that the price is only good until 9PM. I told the drive-thru girl that there is no end time listed on the promo as I was looking at it right on the menu board. She proceeded to tell me that the "PEOPLE" told her I'm not allowed to get the discount. I asked what people she was referring to and was met with silence. We decided to just drive around and go in as she didn't know what she was talking about. We entered the store at 9:33PM and went to the register. I again started my order with the $1.99 kids meals. To my surprise the cashier had no issue applying the discount. We ordered around $30 worth of food and stepped to the side to await our order. This is where it became troublesome. We kept waiting and waiting. And more guests came in and ordered. And then they were waiting as well. After 15 minutes one guest went back up and requested a refund as they had to get going. The manager took her time getting to the front to refund the guest. No apology was offered to him at any point. Meanwhile we are still waiting. Half of the employees are standing around in the back doing nothing. One of them asked what was still being waited on. Another quiped back with "Everything" as he laughed. It took over 30 minutes to complete our order by which time almost all the food was cold and the custom order was incorrect. The iced tea that we ordered was not fresh as well. Following the same standard no apology was offered and no reason was given for the lack of efficiency. This is not the first time that I have noticed this issue. However it seems to always happen with the same manager on duty. She doesn't care what her employees or doing. read more

Every single time I have attended this particular Wendy's, I have left being shorted 2-3 dollars. They have never given a receipt, but I am extremely well at math, (working in the restaurant industry since 14, and owning my pizzeria, I'm quick at counting back correct change.) So this time I asked for the receipt, and then once again I have been shorted but this time I had proof, so I kindly asked for my money & the woman gave it to me very rudely & tbh it was v obvious in my opinion she was high on a speed type of drug. If i could give them negative stars i would. Let's just get to the point. Went to Wendy's yesterday and my total was $7.67. I was in the drive thru, so i got to the window. They never told me my total they just reached out the window for my card. I asked what the total was they said $7.67. Handed them my card. Get my food, my drink has no ice??? Whatever. I go home. Next day, which is today i look at my bank statement, i do it a few times a week for this exact reason. I have one charge of $7.67 from Wendy's... AND ANOTHER ONE $26.64 i NEVER ordered more food. Dear Wendy's, Today I was very disappointed with the drive-thru service. I was excited to see the taco salad back on the menu. I ordered the salad along with a junior fry and small green tea. At the window I paid for my meal and was handed my drink (without a straw). The service seemed slower than usual and it took a few minutes before I was handed my bag of food. I glanced inside to see if there was a straw but since there wasn't, I asked for one and then drove off. I've gave a rating of 2 stars because the French fries were piping hot, fresh and delicious. However, I did not receive tortilla chips with my taco salad. I did not receive a fork or other utensils. I also did not get a receipt with my meal. I tried to call the store twice this afternoon to speak with a manager and the line has been busy. This was not your best service and I hope it can be improved for the future. We keep expecting their food to be better than the last time. I've had enough. Ordered two spicy chicken combos yesterday at around 5 o'clock. You'd think the food would be fresh during the dinner-time rush. Well, you'd be wrong. The sandwiches and fries were all lukewarm, and both chicken filets were so dry and tough that they must have been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. We ordered an unsweetened iced tea and a Sprite with no ice. Received an unsweetened tea with no ice and a cup of ice with some Sprite in it. We've previously been treated rudely for having the gall to use the drive thru 20 minutes before closing time. I'm trying to remember if we have ever been served a satisfactory meal there, but I'm having trouble coming up with a single example. Dave Thomas would turn over in his grave! Dirty everywhere, from the kitchen to the dining area to the restrooms! The person behind the counter when I visited yesterday, August 21, 2016, just did not want to be there, and certainly did not want to be bothered with a customer. The burger was not hot and juicy, but cold and dry, with unrequested mustard on it. Oh, and did I mention that there were no napkins in the restaurant, either behind the counter or in the dining room! Man, what a place! I went through the drive-thru on the day after Thanksgiving to get bacon, egg and cheese biscuits, 5 of them, to give my Thanksgiving company a bite to eat before they began their drive home. I asked for the bacon on the side for all of them, because it's never crispy enough, so I microwave it. Not too hard, right? I even told them to just wrap all the bacon together so they wouldn't waste their time wrapping each bacon separately. I waited in line for a long while, and when I reached the window, the guy confirmed the bacon separately thing, and I paid him. Then I waited about 15 minutes for them to bring the food. No one even acknowledged me to say it'd be ready in a minute, nothing. FINALLY my bag was given to me, and I sped home to serve the food warm, and...wanna guess? Yup, NO BACON AT ALL!! Easily without question one of the if not worst Wendys i've ever been to. The only reason i kept going back after my first time because it's the only one that's close to where i live. Every time i order i get the same thing (Crispy Chicken 4/4) and i don't think i've waiter shorter than 10 minutes every time. from the lack of work ethic from the employees and just the employees being incompetent in general, not to mention they tend to act a little more ghetto then they should. As with all of the fast food restaurants in this area of Ohio River Blvd., this place is dumpy and dirty. The staff is also poorly supervised ,and I've been privvy to more store gossip, drama, and horseplay than I've ever experienced in any restaurant, fast food or otherwise. One week ago, I stopped at this Ohio River BLVD Wendy's location while driving by for work. I placed an order for myself and a coworker @ the Drive-Thru, picked up our order and continued on down the road. I usually double check my order, but was in a hurry. I ordered a #2 Dbl combo and two 4-piece (for my coworker). 10 minutes down the road I realized that I was given a Baconator and some else's receipt, which contained a Baconator (that customer probably received my #2 combo). For personal reasons, I don't eat bacon. My coworker offered to swap his chicken nuggets for my Baconator. He told me that the burger was dried out, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp, so I didn't feel right about the trade and gave him his nuggets back. I stopped at another fast food restaurant down the road and got what I had ordered (I double checked the order this time). I later called the and spoke to a manager @ this particular Wendy's, she offered to have me stop in at another time for a free meal, but I typically don't work and don't live in the area. I thanked her and asked if she couldn't just send me a gift card or something and she advised that she would have this location's GM call me back about my issue. One week later and two additional calls from me to Wendy's later, I still have not been called by this GM. At this point, it's on principle that I'm taking the time to type this review and carry through to the end. I called Wendy's "Customer Care" (888)-624-8140 and they started a formal complaint. I was told by customer care that she was sending an email to this location's GM and requesting they call me.
