Do not eat here! Dined in today and they gave the gentleman in line behind me my sandwich. He opened the box and touched it, thinking it was his. He returned it to the counter and told them he touched it. They proceeded to just move the box to my tray. He came over and informed me of what happened and they were going to serve me the food. They sure did! I asked them to remake it and they game me a hard time like I did something wrong. I watched them save the sandwich that was contaminated in their warmer to serve to someone else. Wow! I'd really like to give this place the rating they deserve, but It wouldn't let me do 0 stars... this is by far the worst Wendy's ever! The service sucks, the food wasn't even warm for the 15 almost 20 minutes we waited in the drive thru! They had no problem letting us know they didn't have any frosty's... but completely failed to tell us they didn't have any ice, until we asked why there was no ice in our drinks. Not to mention at the window they asked what kind of sauce we wanted... and still didn't put it in our bag!! All we got after asking for some kind of discount or some kind of compensation, was a "no sorry"... needless to say the food is horrible and they need to do a lot of cleaning up and renovations on the building, and employees! read more

Could not recommend this Wendy's. On one occasion, after waiting through a slow drive-thru line (dine in wasn't an option at the time), they forgot an item of my order. Since I couldn't go in, I called and was told I'd have to wait in the looooong line again just to get the item they forgot. Another 20 min wait and I opted to get a refund instead. No other suggestions to resolve the issue except wait in their slow line again. This place is a 0 for me. read more

The folks working there are pretty alright but the issue is that they are always understaffed which makes the wait times incredibly long! Like painfully long, where you will think of leaving while waiting in line or drive-thru. Speaking of waiting in line inside the store, that's a mystery as to when the lobby is open and when it is not. I usually will only go out of my way to write positive reviews. This is an exception. Once a month, or so, over the last 18 months I have ordered from the Cottage Grove Wendy's. 100% of the time they got something wrong. It has been extremely frustrating. I foolishly keep returning. Today was the last time. one of the items I ordered was a sour cream and chive baked potato. I always order an extra sour cream and an extra butter. I always have to remind the person to add them, as the never do. Most of the time, I get zero. Today, I reminded them and they handed me two butter. Fine. I pulled ahead, opened my bag, and there was no sour cream. I drove to the front, went inside and told them I asked for 2, and there were none. Their response was "We are out of sour cream. WTF didn't they tell me at the drive through? This may seem petty, but this was the last straw. Then you have snotty teenagers that are rude and obviously don't care about customer service. On top of that... the pop machine must be broke or something. Every time I've gone to this location (which isn't often) it disappoints. The pop never has flavor... like they ran out of the syrup. It's so disgusting, tastes like mineral water. I also ordered a 10 piece chicken nugget with dipping sauce and a chocolate Frosty from the Cottage Grove location. Ordered thru Door Dash. Now I do not blame Door Dash. They take the completed order and deliver it. Wendy's. A combo means hamburger, side item and a drink right? That is what makes it a COMBO. It received my food items with no sauce. Ok. I can live with that. No Coke No Frosty. Guess I paid for stuff I did not get. Reported it to Door Dash. I drive through at this location about once a week. The food has always been consistent and they are always quick and friendly.

If you try to use coupons on two separate mobile orders on the same day, they call the police. They initially refused to refund the money paid. I was given my money back, but it was about 3-5 minutes after they called the police. The coupon itself says "Limit one offer per customer, per visit", so making two purchases in a single day with two coupons was compliant with the terms of the offer. Of course, no decision maker in their right mind would call the police because a customer asked for a refund on a product not delivered. The business is delegating authority to people with poor judgement, and also shows the business has no respect for the legitimate service provided by law enforcement. read more

I gave them 1 star, but they should get negative 5 stars! Every time that we have gone through their drive through they have shorted us on something that we ordered. Consequently somebody does not have supper tonight because what we paid for and was not put in the bag was their supper. They had a person on the speaker of the drive through that could barely speak english and the person that handed you the food guaranteed that all of the food was in the bag. It was NOT!!! Apparently she does not care and just says what she thinks you want to hear that will get rid of you! How can you treat customers like this on a consistent basis???? I haven't been inside of this Wendy's in probably fifteen years. I was pleasantly surprised by how exceptionally clean both the restaurant and staff are. Especially after my last dine-in experience here, as a teenager. Times change, and so do people! Is it the fastest service in town? No, probably not. However, they have a very good menu of food that doesn't taste like overly processed, microwaved krill. Long story short; If you have five minutes to spare, to wait for delicious food, and fast food is your target, this place will not disappoint! On the same topic; The manager (he was dressed differently, I assume he's head honcho?) was very friendly and accommodating. I figured I would give them a shot again. First mistake, placed a mobile order. Went to pick up the food only to told they didn't have most of the items I ordered. I asked them to cancel the order, which they did without any issues (or so I thought). I was even provided a receipt saying nothing was charged. Can you guess what happened next??? Yep, the full charge still went through. Called Corporate for a refund because apparently the store can't help with online order issues. Corporate stated they could initiate a refund, but the amount of time is unknown. Okay...? Sent customer service an email as well. Besides a snotty inadvertent response that they didn't mean to send to me, states the refund would take place at some point. When? They weren't sure either. It's been 6 months and still no refund.
