This business appears to be doing everything right in light of the Corona19 pandemic. Sadly, the restaurant was temporarily closed until things return to normal. The pumpkin patch, petting zoo, and corn maze are all OPEN for business. This year's theme for the maze is "Essential Workers!" Definitely check this place out if you are in the area .... Cheers!

Aside from stocking up on quality lean buffalo, this place is a great destination to bring the kids. There is a petting zoo and corn maze. The best time to come is probably late summer-fall. The gift shop is perfect for finding a trinket or two for the kids for the ride home. And when the corn maze is open the restaurant is also open. This is actually more of a "snack bar" type of place - a grill where you can order buffalo burgers or other kid friendly foods. If you are looking for a polished more diner-like establishment you won't find it here. Again, if you are in the area for with the kids, they will surely enjoy a burger and fries or snack after running through the maze. This is also more of the old-fashioned, well worn kind of non-decor location. Even so, I have fun enjoying a burger and stocking my freezer. Four stars for the buffalo meat alone (on the pricey side but excellent). If you took that away I would give 2 stars.

Before my other half even entered the door she stopped checking out the other customer and talked loudly over him asking, "is there 2 in your party", she asked twice. There was no other customer in front of me. Then my other half who made it in the door looked at me funny and said " What?" I looked at her and said "yes they're are 2". Then she said "it will be just a few minutes". (Half the tables were empty and clean) I replied "Ok". Then she proceeded to go back to waiting on the customer at the register. So, if that wasn't rude enough, after she finished checking out the customer at the register, another person went up in front of us to the hostess/cashier and started talking about baking and what she did wrong in her food and about personal stuff, the hostess replied "Yes, I'm the baker", and she continued to talk to this other person about what she does, etc. and about some personal stuff. After about a minute or so of listening to her personal conversation and life we decided to leave. We drove down the road a few miles and found another family restaurant, "Butch's Place", that we hadn't been to before and we loved it. The service, prices and food we're all great! We'll be coming to the new restaurant instead of the Cakery Café in the future.

In response to Milen D's recent review of Firestones(which I witnessed)…read more I honestly can't decide what's more embarrassing: your experience at the restaurant or the fact that you thought this review was worth posting. You apparently walked in expecting the entire establishment to revolve around your very specific demands, got disappointed, called someone a "clown," accused them of lying, and then produced this barely decipherable masterpiece of nonsense. The staff didn't fail you--you failed to understand where you were, what they offered, and apparently how restaurants work. And judging by the grammar and coherence of this review, I'm not sure you were in any condition to be evaluating anyone else's performance. Being unhappy with a meal is one thing. Throwing a tantrum because a restaurant didn't conform to whatever bizarre expectations you had in your head is another. Do everyone a favor next time: stay home, lower your expectations, and let the adults enjoy their dinner without having to witness another episode of The World's Most Confused Customer. The restaurant got one bad review. You got permanently immortalized as the person who wrote it. I'd say one of those is considerably harder to recover from.

Firestone's pizza has an excellent char, solid sauce and flavorful toppings. The restaurant also has a beer/wine store, and a eye pleasing meat counter/butcher. I have no complaints - friendly service, fair priced pizza for excellent quality, and the liquor section has some charm to the decor. ***From the road, look for Gordon's (even though Firestone Kitchen is the eatery). Gordon's is more prominent from the road.
