This Wendy's is located in a busy tourist area of Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. Even though it's really busy the staff is kind and they are working efficiently to get everyone their orders. Even though the place seems packed, by the time you get your food tables will open up. There is an employee who walks around to clean the tables as well. The food tasted alright, I mean it's fast food and a regular Wendy's in my opinion. The air-conditioning was a blessing from the heat so that's a plus. This is my second time stopping here and I plan to continue stopping here whenever I am at Niagara Falls in Canada. read more

Arrived late and at 11pm, we just wanted something to eat. Niagara Falls in the summer is oppressive because tourists invade Clifton Hill like locusts. Given the high traffic, the customer service here was fast, reliable and friendly. Had the double burger with cheese meal which only cost around CDN$10. It tasted good. Seemed fresh. Lot of flies hovering near the kitchen which made feel a bit uneasy, but I can report that the fries, burger and drinks were not bad at all. The eating area here is spacious but because of the high customer traffic, looks a bit dirty with food stains, etc. (if I were Yelping the customers that come here and their table manners, I'd give THEM 1 star). The staff here did as good as they could to keep this place in order. All in all, given how late it was, I think this may be the best place to eat at here in Niagara Falls if you are in a hurry. read more

My husband and I tried Wendy's for the first time here. It was very...meh. It seemed like most of the restaurants near here were big chains (and I didn't have wifi to check) so we figured we'd try some North American fast food. My "spicy chicken" sandwich was soggy and not spicy. My husband's burger was a little better. *meh* The worst part was the fries. Who could possibly eat fries with that much salt!? I had to scrape salt off each one to make them vaguely palatable. I did see a bloke add looooads of extra salt to his chips though...so maybe that's how other folks like them!? *double meh* After scraping salt off each of my chips, I had sticky hands...so I used the washroom to de-stickify myself. Visiting Wendy's on New Year's Eve was certainly a toss up dependant on the eye of the beholder. With crowds rushing in from both the streets and the attached arcade in combination with sub-zero conditions, the restaurant was absolutely packed. The volume of guests was so intense that people ate at the condiment stands and in the middle of the restaurant, to a point where I wonder whether it was a fire hazard or not. Personally, I have never been in a hostel but I imagine this was not too far off the point. Food-wise, this location serves more or less the standard that any Wendy's offers. However, what I did notice was that this location does not offer the value menu. In terms of service, the staff were friendly and restaurant was kept clean despite the jam-packed conditions. In the land of touristy spots and other fast food joints, Wendy's isn't a terrible choice. There's no dollar menu though, and once in awhile, a bird sneaks in and wreaks terror into the hearts of unsuspecting patrons. After seeing the poor review score, I wondered if someone had been served a live rat or had cat hair in their burger. Here's the underlying problem for this and most places in Niagara Falls: these franchises (most everywhere is a chain) count on two things... 1. Customers, no matter what, and in droves at peak times. 2. Not worrying one bit about those customers being regulars, or even coming back. Therefore, not really worrying in the first place. While competition in Niagara Falls should be fierce, it doesn't seem to be. This Wendy's has enough seats to hold three tour buses of tourists, but needs updating, including a better system for ordering. The food is pretty average for a Wendy's, but the fries (in a agreement with other reviews), do kind of suck. They are either overcooking them or not changing the oil. Customer service here is ok. The dining room is generally clean, but I wouldn't eat anything off the floor (or that touched a table). This Wendy's could be a driver for the brand. People from all over Canada (and the world) walk by here. Instead, it is a hulking, tired space with below average fries and average service. While tourists may be accustomed to high prices and low quality, someone is still missing an opportunity here. read more

I hated this Wendy's experience. First, because the front is wide open to the street, birds fly in and out and sit begging by your table. You're accosted by the noise and lights of an idiotic arcade attached to the restaurant. When I was there, some poor French kid lost his wallet. His friend asked if I had seen it and I said no. I walked over to who I thought was a teen girl but was actually a teen boy with a girlish figure and long ratty hair if he'd found a wallet. He said no. Then he said, unprompted, "I can't help you without a description of the wallet." Then, again unprompted, as if I was an idiot, "I can't just hand a wallet over to anybody." I didn't ask for the fricking wallet. I just told him that the guy was looking for it. "I just can't hand it over to anybody." This is probably the worst Wendy's I've ever entered. The restaurant is pretty spacious and the people at the counter were friendly, but the food was terrible. My burger was barely warm and the nuggets, in addition to being room temperature, didn't taste like Wendy's nuggets. Considering the large volume of customers that were in there, I was very confused as to how there could be food that wasn't hot. Of all the fast food chains, I'll usually go for Wendy's if there's nothing else I want in the area. For me, the point of fast food chains really isn't quality as much as it is consistency. Disappointing. We were walking the area as a family (2 adults and 3 teens) and decides to grab a quick bite for lunch. First major issue was cleanliness...gross! Our feet (and everyone else's in line) were sticking to the grime on the floors. So much so that you could hear it when everyone walked and in some places it was like glue. I asked the attendant taking our order if she knew that the floors were really in need of a wash (in case she missed it being behind the counter). She told me that they had a problem with some teenagers that morning making a mess.....it was now 2 pm. ...no one had a mop since this morning? ?? Disgusting. Just for context, it was a quiet Thursday morning so being too busy wasn't a possibility. The food was not even close to being of normal Wendy's quality. This is where everything went down the hill....First off it was much busier but the line went fast. We ordered two of the Asiago Chicken Sandwhich combos. I asked for no ice and they gave ice (which I didn't realize until I was gone) Seriously, I don't want ice cause you charge me insane for a pop and give me ice...Then the sandwich seemed to be prepared immediately, but then for the fries, the person kept taking more orders, and pushing ours farther towards the edge. And the person beside him kept grabbing the fries (seriously we waited 5 minutes FOR FRENCH FRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) (Fire that guy...) Then we get our food, go get a seat, and every seat is dirty...we found one with just a few pieces of garbage so we threw them on the ground (maybe a staff member would find them there). I had seen a staff member clean a table for a customer and they basically grabbed a few napkins and wiped the dirt onto the floor. I had also ordered a frosty....I wanted a thing of normal soft serve ice cream....pretty sure they mistook what I wanted for a milkshake without the straw... The Bathroom AVOID AVOID AVOID! Pretty standard Wendy's experience. Definitely the biggest, cleanest Wendy's restaurant I've ever been to. Granted, we did visit in mid-December (tourist off-season), so that may have contributed to the positive experience. Being the first cheap option on the strip as one heads up hill from the falls, this place was crowded. I imagine it's normally crowded. The line moved quickly. I saw at least three managers on duty, one of whom was directing customers to the appropriate cash register at the appropriate time. Another was overseeing the cashiers--all cash registers were open and each cashier had runners to help him assemble the orders. Finally, a third manager was in the kitchen watching the cooks, and making resupply runs as needed. My order was correct: single with cheese, ketchup, lettuce, and tomato, and nothing else. The meat was cooked medium well and was tasty. The fries were fresh. The dining room was clean and the condiments bar was fully stocked, likely because they had a boy dedicated to those specific tasks. read more

This Wendy's are now starts charging money for the tape water ! It is unbelievable but one employee charged money for the tape water. I bought a sandwich and a fry they make it combo with bottled water for 9.82 dollar (because I don't drink sugary drink and I asked for a cup of tape water) actually the price was 9.36 dollar. They did not give me water bottle but gave me tape water in the cup. Finally I got the money back, it was .45 cents. After a lot of arguments they did not paid the money back. Then I called the employee Idiot and I left the counter. Then they called the security Guard to force me out. I explained the security Guard and then security guard realized the .45 cents from the Wendy's and gave it to me. Then they didn't allow me to eat in the restaurant. So I left the restaurant without eating the food. I felt my self insulted. I went to Niagara falls with my wife to enjoy but I came back to the Marriot. I couldn't sleep and in the morning I paid the Marriot and I left the Niagara falls with a very upset mind. read more
