I was here at lunch time on Tuesday, so it wasn't busy, but it is a very spacious interior with a number of distinct sections, so you could easily come here for the bar area or a nice meal out. I had the daily special appetizer: poutine. Additionally I got a rib eye done Montreal style. The poutine was great, though pretty large for an appetizer. This could have been a meal all on its own. Nice crispy pub fries, melted cheese, and brown gravy, all flavorful but not too salty. I did put a good amount of it in a to-go box because I would have had no room for lunch if I'd finished it. The rib eye came with asparagus and fries (for some reason you can't get mashed potatoes until after 4pm?), and oh man can I see why they've won awards for this. With the Montreal seasonings and blue cheese butter, there was no lack of flavor, and this steak was cooked nicely medium rare. Such a tender piece of meat, it went right down and I was so happy to find a place doing steak proud. I was all set to give this place five stars, but then I went to the bathroom and thought it was straight out of a cubist painting. Weird angles, tight space. As a tall person I had trouble, and from an accessibility stand point it was a nightmare. All in all, based on the food I had, I'd send anyone here. I'll be back myself.
