I order with no mayo. I reiterate, please ensure no mayo because I am allergic. When they hand me the food I again ask there is no mayo on one of these right and they say yes. I checked in the drive-through window and sure enough there is mayo. I asked them to please remake me one without mayonnaise because I am very allergic. I ask not to just wipe the mayonnaise off because I am allergic. They then bring me out a new sandwich and I again ask is this a brand new sandwich and not just wiped off mayonnaise because I am extremely allergic. They again verified this is a brand new sandwich. Sure enough pickles, lettuce, and tomato have mayonnaise on it. Then sure as heck looks like they've been reused from the previous sandwich with mayo. Had to leave and go elsewhere. When I went to the register there were employees within feet of me - they wouldn't look at me. I finally called one over to ask if anyone could take my order. In very broken English I was told "kiosk" and was pointed to a machine on a wall. What is happening to this country? I pay cash, I don't use cards or CBDC, and I want to interact with the people preparing my food. I won't use those machines. Stopped coming to this Wendys for about a year because of long lines, poor food and worst of all, an ill tempered guy working the drive thru who was as nasty as can be. I was told that the place had gotten better so I gave it another chance and was happy to find it has improved significantly. The people now working at this Wendy's are incredibly nice, professional and efficient. The drive thru moves along at a decent pace now and they get the orders right. The food is better than it was for sure, though it's still fast food of course. I don't know how Wendy's manages to serve hamburgers with ketchup or mayo or whatever you like but still has them come out sort of dry. That's my one big complaint about their burgers. Even when cooked properly and covered in ketchup, they still have this weird dry sort of quality. Maybe it's the bun? I took away a star for two reasons. First, their hours are weird. Closed b7 far as I can see. I know Venice is a sleepy place, but other fast food places nearby are pretty busy at that time. Second, if the drive thru line is long, you can get stuck behind cars blocking the exit while they wait in the drive thru line. If that happens, you can't get out until they move forward. Words can't explain the lack of leadership or the lack of interest that this leadership team holds at this locatuon after 6 pm, or when ever their latest shift manager comes in. The staff is rude, and uncaring. They are also either under educated in what the menu has to offer, or they have their own "nigh menu" that is not reflected at the drive through. The food is cold, undercooked, or half put together. The staff does not care! I have personally worked in retail and food prior to this comment and have been a cart pusher and a burger flipper up to general manager. John was taking orders on drive and i cannot believe how rude this man was to my husband and i. we only wanted to order two meals and we couldn't get one word out before he continued to interrupt our order. assuming what we wanted and then sighing when we would order something different. i receive my food and it's the wrong order. After pulling into the drive thru and waiting 5 minutes in this long line with no movement, I left for McDonalds. There I got right in paid and left. Passing Wendy's, I still would be in line. I had an exasperating experience today at Wendy's at 4331 S Tamiami Trail, in Venice. I am a disabled Vietnam veteran and have noticed for quite some time that the US Flag at their store has becoming an embarrassment due to the very poor condition of the flag. It is very faded and the stripes are all tattered and ripped. I tried to go into the store today to ask then to either replace the flag or to take it down and not display it due to the horrible condition it is in. The door was locked in the middle of the afternoon, so I drove to the drive up which was empty. I asked to speak to the manager and the woman who came to the window shouted to a young woman that was standing in the background. She shouted to her "what does he want"? The older woman told her she didn't know so the manager came to the window chewing food with food all over her mouth. (Not very professional) I told her the flag was in deplorable condition and I would like the name and phone number for the district manager. She told me that she cannot give out that information. I asked her for her name and she told me her name was Rebecca. I asked why she couldn't give it out and she told me that I just couldn't have it. She didn't see a problem with the flag. I asked her if she would write her name down so that when I found the phone number, I could give them her name correctly. She told me that she was not comfortable doing that. I asked her for the store number, which is #5522. I will eventually find the phone number and let my frustration with the lack of help that the store manager, Rebecca, gave me. It makes me wonder that if the lack of attention to the flag of our country also carries over to the cleanliness of their restaurant and the training of their employees. We have ate at this restaurant many times and the service and quality of the food is always more or less a craps shoot. Sometimes very good, other times, well not very good at all. Maybe this means more to me that most, but I took an oath to defend and protect the flag of this great nation and that also means to me, that the flag should be given the honor and respect of not being flown in a dilapidated condition. read more

The worst service I have ever had at a fast food establishment. They take care of people at the drive up window before walk-ins. When I arrived there were only 2 people ahead of me. After waiting 15 minutes with no hope to be waited on i left. The employee behind the counter, someone named Michelle, was taking her sweet time, ignoring customers, and touching money before touching food. I actually saw her take money from a customer, then walk over to the food area, open a burger wrapper and lift up the bun and hamburger with her fingers to see what was on it.
