Last year, after my tax situation got more complex, I reached out to Byron Glover. Not only did he help me navigate my 2017 returns, he also looked into some of my previous years' returns and found some opportunities for me to file amendments. I sent a request through their online form after business hours, and I had a response at 8 AM the next day. I met with Justin, and he was friendly and professional. I told him I had had a bad experience in the past with an accountant charging me hourly and ending up with a huge bill. He agreed to give me a set price and told me about it up front. No hidden fees. I got him my paperwork about 3 weeks before the deadline, and he had everything done within a week. He called with bad news-I owed a TON of money, but he did a great job of helping me find things that I could expense that I missed. He helped reduce what I owed by about a quarter. He helped me file for both my small businesses-real estate and photography, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend him!

I had a very costly and disappointing experience with this accounting firm…read more My sensitive personal and financial information -- including bank account information, addresses, Social Security numbers, and other records -- was released in a July data breach, but the firm never notified me. I only learned about it in October from an outside source. I then had to freeze my Social Security number and change 18 bank account numbers to protect myself from identity theft. I provided my tax information with plenty of time to file, but due to last-minute requests and inconsistent instructions, my taxes were ultimately filed late, resulting in approximately $60,000 in delinquency fees and penalties. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm.
