If you're interested in getting told "oh well" when you notice an error in your prescription a week…read moreafter receiving your glasses, then this is the perfect place to go. I purchased my glasses in September 2016, and they arrived within 10 days (not bad). They were also way better than my previous pair, which had yellowed, foggy lenses, which is probably why I didn't notice that my new pair had numbers and letters and dots etched into the middle of my line of vision until about a week or so of wearing them. At first, like any reasonable person, I assumed the slight blur was a smug or dust. So, I took my cleaning towelette and wiped, but when that didn't help I removed my glasses and saw dots and the letters "SVHD" lasered directly into both lenses. I took them back to the clinic expecting them to say, "oops, we gave you the mock up pair. We'll correct this right away." Instead, I get told "There's letters and numbers embedded in all the lenses." I look at her incredulously, "I've never had glasses with something written on the lenses and that's a pretty stupid thing to do when people need to look directly out of them. How do they expect people to see?" The associate shrugs and hands them back to me, dismissing my problem entirely. Fast forward to me discovering (today) that not all lenses have this etching. (In September, there was no one I knew personally that had purchased glasses that month or soon enough for me to compair lenses with.) I march back into the clinic, ready to demand either new glasses or a full refund. A different associate, Gilbert, helps me. HERE'S THE PART THAT PISSES ME OFF! He H.E.L.P.S. M.E. He greets me and I say, "I don't remember when I bought these, but I came in a week later about some letter and numbers in my lenses and was told there was nothing that could be done. I GET that. I know there's nothing you can do, but I literally can't take this anymore. I can't keep staring at them everytime I look at something, it's been giving me horrible headaches to try and focus past them. So something needs to be done." He says, "Okay, let's see what we can do." Now. At this point, obviously, I want to explode and scream about how I've been handicapped for almost a year now because the associate I spoke to before said my issue wasn't one and here you are ready to solve it in a heartbeat---but I don't scream at anyone....I remain calm and grateful that at least I didn't have to pull out the long speech I'd been practicing and demand my money back. I'm getting what I need. The issue will be handled. So I let him handle it. He tells me, "you're nearsighted, so things close up would be more noticable. I can understand how you'd see those etchings and I get that it could be bothersome. Let's see what we can do about it." HE JUST SWITCHES MANUFACTURERS! IT TAKES HIM 5 MINUTES TO CHANGE MY BRAND OF LENSE TO ONE WITHOUT LASER WRITING ON IT!!!! Oh...did I say that was the part that pisses me off? That I lived 9 months staring at a blurry SVHD when all I had to do was choose the day, 9 months ago that Gilbert was working and my problem would have been solved? Yeah. That did piss me off, but not as much as getting the phone call as I start my car saying, "Oh...actually, I'm not able to order those new glasses for you. You would have had to complained within 60 days of receiving them." "I did. I went in there ONE WEEK after receiving them and was told my problem was unsolvable and dismissed!" "Well...I'm sorry, but I'll get in trouble if I put in this order after warranty. You'll have to talk to the manager about this." It isn't Gilbert's fault. He gets 5 stars. THIS PLACE, however gets none. NONE FOR YOU GRETCHEN WEINERS!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe make sure Gilbert is the manager before buying any glasses here. Surely he'll eventually float to the top of the cesspool of incompetence this clinic is spewing out.
