I love this little shopping area, they have almost everything you can need. They have gyms, movie theater , lots of different restaurants, coffee shops and apartments. The thing I associate the most with west 7 is their bars and night life. A lot of these places are open during the day as a brunch/restaurant but I prefer the bar scene at night. It can be dangerous is you go to certain places as it can get rough but if you just walk away and dont start trouble you will be fine. At night there are a lot of people here and it can get very dirty with lots of trash due to there being a lot of food trucks in the area. You can find tacos, empanadas, pizza, sandwiches and even BBQ being sold at night out here in the streets. Parking is free if you purchase something from some of the restaurants there but that is not always the case. Free street parking can be found you just have to look or you can pay for staying in the garage. A couple of blooks have 'pay to work' with parking meters but they usually offer you 2 free hours. I would suggest parking as far away and then walking to west 7 at night because if you park on the street after 10pm they will tow your car. I seen it happen multiple times where people pay and park but dont read that it expires at 10pm and right on the dot the tow trucks come out and take peoples car. Be careful where you park and dont start any trouble. read more

West 7th has been the up-and-coming place near downtown ever since I moved here in 2010. The area reminds me of growing up in Austin with all the chic venues: restaurants, bars, parks, and so much more. The variety of public offerings is exceptional. Parking can be a little tricky and pricey, but, with a little patience, it can be done. I have eaten at the Chuy's on several occasions, along with visiting Trinity Park and the Police and Firefighters' Memorial. The Trinity Trail is also nearby. With so much to do, why go anywhere else? Whether you live here or simply visiting, make West 7th one of your destinations. read more

Great place to walk around early in the afternoon. In the late night just becomes party central due to the bars. We enjoy bringing our daughter in the early afternoon to play games at some of the restaurants and enjoy watching the games on the screens. read more

I was kinda surprised when I saw a yelp entry for West 7th. I was even more surprised by the hours, 11AM to 7PM M-Sat, closed Sunday. What the? Don't be fooled by the hours, I'd say it's more like 24 hours, or at least as late as the last business closing time. That includes bars, of which there are a few in the area. Also, they're city streets. I don't think it's a problem to wander around at 4AM. Disclaimer: I have not tied that. So I had to investigate. Is listing for the area, or a specific business? I have always know west 7th as a destination, mostly to go to Fred's. So I check out the URL, which re-directs to http://crockettrow.com/ . On this page is a rather comprehensive listing of all that is going on West 7th: RESTAURANTS, SHOPS, ATTRACTIONS, and EVENTS. Pretty good page. Learned of a few places I had not heard of, Cork & Pig, Mash'd, Fireside Pies, and Savor to name a few. West 7th: perhaps the shiniest, cleanest, newly updated-est shopping center in Fort Worth that's drawing in a great crowd of cool urban adventurers. You've gotta go. You'll find an easy to access parking garage, so you really don't have to walk far or worry much about where to park. Then you'll come across an eclectic variety of restaurants, shops, and bars that range from big chains to small chains to one of a kind local businesses. Most restaurants and shops will validate your parking. A few of my favorite restaurants here: Waters Bonnell's Coastal Cuisine, Thirteen Pies, and Terra Mediterranean Grill. Favorite shops?? Definitely Flirt Boutique (women's clothing and accessories), Wrare (unique home furnishings), and Dude, Sweet Chocolate (best little chocolate and gift shop around). Entertainment? Movie Tavern, for sure. Bar Louie and The Social House have that sort of college bar vibe going on, and Sweet Sammies is an amazing little ice cream sandwich shop. Lots going on and always clean and pretty and appealing. It's not the most eccentric or artistic part of town, not a ton of live music, but it has a lot to offer and I always enjoy a trip to West 7th. read more

I do enjoy a good stroll on West 7th! They've got everything including a movie theatre, tons of trendy restaurants, little boutique shops, regular "mall" type stores and some chain restaurants. The bars are plentiful- sheesh. No one will go thirsty in this area. This area is pretty darn new and posh, with super nice apartments sitting right on top of the businesses. Keeping that in mind, most of the businesses i've visited are a pretty costly adventure. And I assume that is because of the location and it holding the title of one of the current hot spots of Funky Town. For me this area is definitely a place for a date night, or girls night out; but I see tons of families cruising the streets...especially during the summer months. West 7th is totally a college/young scene hang out as well. You've got lots of TCU dwellers, and what i'd assume are recent graduates hitting up all of those bars! On a huge positive note.. I can almost always find parking, on the street or in a garage. Parking is validated free for the first two hours at most businesses. I am pretty much a good distance away from this part of town, but I always look forward to coming out here to explore. It's kind of like a mini staycation of sorts! There are a ton of restaurants, good shopping and a movie theater. You could basically spend an entire day out here browsing around. There's a free parking garage as well as parking along the street. Lots of dining options unique to Ft. Worth as well! Make sure to check out FW Market + Table and sit on their patio doing a little people watching. I love West 7th! I think West 7th has added great value to the Fort Worth scene. They keep it clean and have such a great variety of restaurants, shops, and bars for every taste imaginable! What I like about West 7th is that it is very walkable and that they have many parking garages/access to each garage on every street. There is not a lot of street parking that is available so it is nice to know that they have made it so easy to not worry about your car. Your ticket can be validated by all of the vendors, but keep in mind parking is good up to 4 hours only without an additional charge. read more

I love hanging out in the West 7th area, which might explain why I am there ALL. THE. TIME. I've lived in Fort Worth since 2007 and the transformation of West 7th has been unbelievable. You can dine, shop, work out, go see a movie...the options are endless. I frequent the LA Fitness location on Crockett. I love that I can work out, then meet friends for drinks all without moving my car. Moreover, I can stop into Target across the street at Montgomery Plaza then meet friends for dinner. The food options are endless, with new restaurants popping up all the time. Terra is among my favorites with Sweet Sammie's being one of my favorite stops after dinner. There are millions of combinations for drinks/dinner/dessert. I'll confess that I avoided the West 7th area like the plague initially because the parking had not caught up with the amount of attractions.This has been rectified over the last year or so: there are countless garages, most offering 2 hours of free parking and most shops/restaurants will validate your parking. Bottom line: if you're visiting Fort Worth or live here, West 7th is a good choice for entertainment/food options. read more

Cool area but beware of the parking garages. The gate was wide open upon entry and I wasn't able to receive a ticket. Upon exiting the gates were shut and I had to pay a $20.00 "lost ticket" fee to exit. What a rip off. read more

WOW! What a COOL area in downtown Fort Worth. Although I live in Dallas and don't venture out to Cow Town very often, the new West 7th area is definitely a go-to destination that I would drive out for. It is truly a one-stop shop area, with bakeries, gift shops, clothing stores, fabulous restaurants and even a movie theater. If you live in Dallas, you'll recognize several similar favorites such as Dude Sweet Chocolate, Paciugo, Tillman's Roadhouse and Rafan in this pedestrian friendly area of town. West 7th is seriously the coolest spot in Fort Worth and worth a trip! read more

West 7th is the ultimate urban shopping center. It's right down the street from downtown Fort Worth and in the center of all the vibrancy that this area of Fort Worth has to offer. As a TCU grad, I spent a great deal of time in downtown Fort Worth and along 7th Street. Imagine my surprise when they began building up this area out of nothing a few years back. The restaurants are incredible and only a few chains are to be found. Most of the restaurants are individual and serve up excellent food for reasonable prices. The best part of this shopping center to me is the parking garage. When they first opened, they were not really sticklers for validation of parking but now they are. Regardless of how strictly they follow the validation policy, you get to park for free. Not only that, there is ample parking. That cannot be said for many shopping centers of this caliber. I have never spent more than 5 minutes looking for parking, even on a Saturday night. If given the choice, I would choose West 7th hands down over other comparable shopping areas any time. read more

I dig it. I chose to live around the area so there's some good to it. Boutiques, restaurants, bars, LA Fitness, Movie Tavern, you really could spend a few hours checking it all out. My favorite places have come and go; forcing me to find new favorite places. (American Food and Beverage, RIP.) Parking does suck. Especially during peak times i.e dinner hours and weekends. Stick to the garage or valet. Two hours parking free. Maybe I'm so used to seeing the area that I'm just that unimpressed. Or maybe I'm just very bitter over the way my favorite restaurants have come and disappeared. Bailey's, Patrizio's and more recently A F+B. Either way, it's a cool place to check out if you're in the area and need to see shiny, clean buildings. read more

I can honestly say that after my visit to the West 7th area today that it will be my last visit. The parking situation is absolutely ridiculous. The last three times that I was in that area AND got my parking ticket validated as instructed, I left they tried to charge me $20 every time. I'm over it. There are few things that need to happen to rectify this situation: 1. $20 is an asinine amount to charge anybody for parking especially when they can go downtown or to Magnolia and park for free. 2. If you're going to make it mandatory that people validate at each establishment, then you need to make sure your equipment is working at every establishment. 3. The attendants that answer the phones and that assist in person whenever your machines try to wrongfully charge people $20 after they spent many hours and dollars in the area are so rude. They need a serious lesson in customer service. I shouldn't have to prove my innocence every time I leave, and be treated like a liar when I did my part and validated. Such a hassle. It could be a great area, but you go there and have fun and leave having to deal with B.S. I don't recommend it unless you just like to suffer. read more

A note for those who enjoy live music. Please remember to wander off the beaten path slightly, Freds and Magnolia Motor Lounge both offer amazing live music and great burgers. If you stay on the main strip, Waters and Mashed are two great dining spots. But wander 2-3 blocks out and you get gems like Steel City Pops, Rodeo Goat, and live music at several spots. read more

If you're trying for street parking, then good luck. There's a ton of college bars- so you can grab dinner and then hop around. There's a movie theater and a gym.
